Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Might I suggest doing it the easy way, by putting a few pieces in a jar with hydrogen peroxide (3% is enough, you can get it at a pharmacy) and putting it in sunlight. The advantage over this is that applying paste to smaller pieces of Lego isn't that easy and you can easily do multiple parts this way as long as your stir the jar every now and then. May take from a few hours up until a few days (highly dependent on the sunlight I presume) I can confirm this works as I whitened my sun damaged Imperial Shuttle this way. On a side note had no trouble with the printed piece from the cockpit so I'm sure it's safe. -
Heh, I believe everything 'the clone wars' is considers canon by Lucas unless it conflicts with the movies(the fans just don't always agree), but I agree, rather see them work existing characters into the story. Would have love to have seen Durge (who has already made a few EU appearances) instead of Savage(not too mention a dozen an episode named clones). but that brings us back to the beginning, I don't think it's bad idea to include more Adi and Eeth into the clone wars, since they both existed well before the series.

But what if you turn 'random Jedi number 6' into a recurring character, new options to make money perhaps? Even Obi-Wan and Anakin had to start somewhere. Look at Jar-jar for instance, he didn't even exist before '99, but he became quite popular among the kiddies then. Besides there is a difference between adding a new character(or semi-unknown character) and replacing Obi-Wan and Anakin with it/him/her. and to be honest this is exactly what they seem to be doing season 3 with Savage Opress for instance, they are adding a (possible) moneymaker, not taking out another. Sorry for the off-topic.

How can it be anything other than 1999, when two favorite things joined forces, I have all the sets of that year (except for Anakin's podracer, but who needs that when you have Mos Espa) and am still have them standing proudly in my collection. I admit the newer models do look sleeker and nicer overall, but there is still that little bit of magic that resides in the old models. Not too mention there weren't that much fancy molds back then and they had to start from scratch, so it was actually an astonishing achievement back then. Of course, didn't collect in 2006-2009, so can't honestly judge which year would be the runner-up. (hear lots of good things about the 2006 line) but if I had to choose, my second favorite would be 2002. (with the RGS and Jango's Slave 1)

I actually hope that they will focus more on these kind of characters as opposed to the main, who to be honest were already swamped in events even before the Clone Wars show started, every episode they added after that involving either Anakin or Obi-Wan made me go; "Woaw, they sure have busy lives, aren't there any other Jedi the council could send to that back-water planet they have just been sent too". Happy to see Season 3 seems to be less focused on the main characters (except for Ahsoka and Padme, but they weren't yet swamped by events yet so that's not too bad). As for Minifigures, who wouldn't want a Jedi Council during any point of the PT and an added Eeth and Adi get you two steps closer to that goal, not to mention Adi is only one step away from a Stass Allie figure and Eeth only one step away from a Agen Kolar figure (more jedi council members for those who don't know).

Agreed, as well as the fact that in many cases the source is also stated so you can double-check the information for yourself. -

According to the Wookiepedia he survived past the creation of the galactic empire. Being succeeded as a senator by Pojaa Naberrie in 6 BBY and possibly surviving even up to 6.5 ABY (though that seems to be game-canon, which often are first to falter when changes happen to continuity). -
To be honest, I love it all. I don't matter whether it's OT/PT/EU or CW. I hope TLG continues their Star Wars line for years to come and hopefully they will hop on the live-action-series-train as well. I'd love to see TLG doing some more EU sets, but I know that isn't going to happen because the market is too small. Maybe if 'The Old Republic' becomes a great success we might see some EU sets, heh, can only hope. Enough?!?.... Never,... keep it coming TLG!
-
I'd say 'The Promise(2005)', I recall going 'wtf,.... was that all about?!?' in the end. Don't ever waste 128 minutes of your life watching that. Even trying to summarize the story to tell someone is confusing as hell,... I know, tried it once.

Although the new sets sound great, I'm a even more skeptical about them. I mean they all seem to come exactly from the first season of clone wars. - Consular ship with it's captain, Yoda and his team, all characters involved with the ship from episode 1 - Malevolence with the characters included in those, all characters involved with the ship from episodes 2,3 and 4 - Padme's ship with Padme, 3P0 and Jar Jar, all characters involved with the ship from episode 8 It seems a bit weird for TLG to make Season 1 sets while we are currently watching season 3, as well as the fact that usually TLG doesn't very often accurately produce all the figures that where involved with the ship/building. Yet in this case they all seem to be included. For example just look at the T6, That combination of mini-figures and the ship have yet to appear in a clone wars episode (and possibly will never appear). But of course, hope to be wrong cause I'd love some new colored clones and especially those firefighting droids.

The only two reasons why I think they could start to sag are either: 1) The connectors are loose or have become less strong, you could see if they are still firmly attached or try and replace them or swap them out with other models. 2) Which seems more logical to me is that the rubber bands have started to wear a bit, perhaps due to having the s-foils opened for a prolonged time. Replacing the rubber bands should solve it then. That might also explain why it only happens when they are closed. Probably one of those two, I presume it's the newer version, which I don't have so could be wrong about these suggestions, but on my old version the S-foils are still holding up like a charm (I never have the S-foils opened when it's standing/sitting in my collection as to avert unnecessary stress on the rubber bands). -

Today I saw the Echo Base set from 2009, because it had a nice little discount, my small Lego budget at the moment and since I don't have many of the 2009/2010 sets yet, I decide to pick it up. Besides the set being much better than I had expected from the reviews here, I noticed something; my Han Solo came with white pupils(which looks downright awesome to be honest), though the box/manual and the reviews here all show him without pupils, however the rebels came with the standard face(sadly). Made me wonder when did TLC start using the white pupils? What was the first set they did this on? and are these kind of re-issues (I presume it's a later batch) regular? -
For those confused whether to believe one thing or another, remember what this little gizmo is called: Internet... Don't believe everything you read and start accusing people when they state something different. Just be a bit skeptic and wait for the final evidence. Though, I hope the rumours for a new MF are true, never got the first 2 and it's such an iconic ship I can't believe TLG has only made two normal versions thus far.

I'm hoping for a AotC style commander, that would be great. Another option that pops into my head is commander Bly (which however would make no sense to be stuck into a 'battle of geonosis' cause he wasn't involved).

I do believe you are right, it seems like a little bit of skin beneath that helmet. But I presume it would be neither Boba or Clonetrooper cause they are mandalorians and have nothing to do with either of them. Either a new face, blank or regular smiley.

Welcome to Dongmakgol a korean movie, after some long searching I finally found it. It's about a small village oblivious to the war around them and a few soldiers from both warring sides who accidentally end up there. It was a very good film, though it had it's strange moments. In the end it really was quite a nice mix between humor, drama and action and very entertaining.

Star Wars Republic Commando - True Colors by Karen Traviss Loving every page of it so far, I would certainly hope (though very unlikely) that Karen returns to writing the series cause she is really did an ace job. Luckily I'm still catching up and have got 2 more of this series when I'm trough with this one. Sounds interesting, loved the Thrawn trilogy by Zahn (must have read it a dozen times), how is Outbound flight compared to that one if I may ask?

I don't want to be a nag or anything, but aren't all these 'what would you like to see' threads popping up lately getting a bit out of hand? Perhaps we should stick to one or two threads instead. On another note: It is definitely time for TLG to remake the Tie-fighter.

Then I feel I must excuse myself if my post seemed like I was calling you unreliable, but understand that I and possibly many others out there are kind of skeptical when it comes to news that hasn't been confirmed yet, we want proof before we can accept the facts and in my case I certainly didn't mean to call you a liar (nor do i think my post actually states any of that, but apparently you read it like that and I apologize for it). I just referred to your posts as rumours because of the aforementioned skepticism.

Red Y-wing, different colored AAT... I'm sorry to say that doesn't really get me excited. Don't get me wrong, they sound like great sets and I'd probably get them, but it seems a little unimaginative, a bit like making a new JSF every other year. I'd rather seen they had put a few years between editions (at least until the old ones are off the shelf) or make some obscure vehicle from 'the clone wars' instead. That be something I'd be looking forward to seeing pictures off. These sets are not, and for one I hope they are just rumors, although I fear the worst. (not to mention the figures included are probably going to be their greatest asset, which seems to be the new way to go for TLG)

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Stegoceras replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I severely doubt it, weight difference would be minimal, I fear it won't be nearly enough to notice any difference with a kitchen scale. -
If you can wait, I suggest keeping your eyes peeled for discounts. They are quite regular and can safe you a nice amount of money (which you can then spent on more sets). I agree that sets seem to be priced a little steep, especially when you buy them in a retail-store it seems, but if you have some patience you can find most set for a reduced price. Again, sorry for the off-topic

As a matter of fact, I watched TeSB today and I noticed that on Dagobah Luke even stores some items there in the movie itself. You can see the storage space when Luke is preparing his ship to go to Bespin and talking about Yoda about having to go, etc. As long as they don't store light-sabers on the outside of the vehicle(like the speeder that comes with Dooku's solar sailer), I don't really mind. I'm actually happy with a good storage-compartment in the vehicle itself, so I can keep all included parts of the set together.

Not that I'm not appreciative of what we have, but I would really like a glance at Mace Windu's JSF and Battle for/of Geonosis. So can't wait to see those pictures for one. Guess I'm just spoiled that way.

Zev Senesca isn't that bad to have multiple's from, if you switch out his face with any other mini-figure you have sort of created a new character. Especially if you add it to a scene with multiple rebel pilots, I have done so with my multiple Luke's (and Dak) in my little display and must say it doesn't look awkward at all to see a few of the same helmets. Sorry about the off-topic all. and damn we could do with some new pictures of the 2011 sets.
