  1. Well he got the bad end in the movies, the book was better in that case, where Palpatine tricked him and then severed his head.
  2. I think we can safely say it's just a generic clone, battle-packs have always tended to contain unnamed figures, except for the rebel battle-pack which actually put a named character in. So the mini-figures may be inspired on those from the series, but unless TLC gives them a name they are simply unnamed. So no Razor, No stak, just a regular clone from their division. Same goes for the clone commander included.
  3. I always though something generic might be cool, being able to fill in some of the emptier sets to your liking. The Set itself would consist of mini-figure parts so that you may decide which pieces to combine, enough to lets say put 4 mini-figure together and top the set of with a nice little vehicle. Like having a pack with different Jedi-related mini-figure parts (Legs, Torso, Head, headpiece) so you can put together 3-4 generic Jedi and having like a Jedi-speeder seen in EpIII to finish the set off. Then if you'd get a second set you could build a different combination of mini-figs. Countless possibilities, though I'm not so sure it would sell well due to the exclusion of any recognizable figures and probably the cost of making a bunch of new prints. Some examples: - Clone trooper, having different marking on the parts of similar color, so you can create unique clones. - Cantina Patrons - Bounty hunters and other scum - Mandalorians (I want colored ones) - well, probably a few dozen more ideas, but none at the top of my head at the moment. I hope the idea is understandable for you guys/gals, It's sort of a variation on the battle-packs and it's probably never going to happen, but I'd think it be cool.
  4. Simple, Saesee Tiin, one of my favorite Jedi, together with Quinlan, Obi-Wan and Plo.
  5. I immediately saw myself taking a day off throwing all my Lego on a big pile and start counting. 7.395...7.396....7.398....uhm...no, wait.... awh, I lost count.....okay well back to the start, 1...2...
  6. Nooo, cut Tiin, blasphemy... Besides Saesee Tiin will appear in the Clone Wars before the season is over. As well as the fact that Tiin is a slightly more important character than Vos (he was in all the PT movies after all, while Vos was only retconned into TPM and cut from RotS). Don't get me wrong, I really really want a Quinlan Vos but not at the expense of another very nice character.
  7. I presume Lego inspired them on These guys but without wanting to make a new helmet mold for them they decided on a different face, making it appear like the helmet is covering the face. It sort of is supposed to be the succesor of the open helmet with the orange visor(we see in the beginning of epIII) and would later probably lead to the open tie-helmet (presumably the one coming with the new v-wing set) before leading to the all-known tie pilot helmets we see in the OT I saw a better picture the other day and only made that link myself then, of course this is only a presumption, feel free to correct me
  8. Why is everyone so obsessed about getting four gray jetpacks? You only need one for a custom Jango, and it's not like it's the first set to include them (although first in gray of course) Still can't see the fuzz about this set, nice to have a mando, 2 would be alright, but 4 exactly the same ones can't really see the use (unless they have different faces all around). But of course everyone his own preferences.
  9. It actually translates to ice skater not speed skater
  10. such nice pictures, thanks. It seems both Aurra and Embo got leg printing, which is a definite plus for that set, the silver R2 from V-wing is just stunning and the T6 starts looking better and better to me, though posing that ship on the shelf would be a regular nightmare (like the flat gungan sub it just looks bad). The set that's going to be on the bottom of my list is the Mandalorian battle-pack, it just doesn't do it for me, 4 similar Mandalorians with non-too-great vehicles/turrets/guns. No, just not that appealing.
  11. Updated the Moc a bit, cause there were some pieces that just didn't look right, also made some small changed to the set-up and last but not least tried a different setting on the camera to see if the photos would get any better. Updated all the photos except for the space battle, because it was harder to separate it from the moc due to the raised floor and it had hardly changed. Old version photos can be found on my flickr account (link in first post of this topic) as well as more new ones. For those interested, here is a close up of the ship used in the space-battle:
  12. obviously you haven't heard the rumor of them appearing in the clone wars series. so there is still a good chance.
  13. woaw, thanks for the pictures, I must say the battle-pack really looks awesome and the T6 doesn't look half as bad now that we have some clearer finalized images. It might have been said, but do I spy a shiny gray colored R2 unit in the V-wing set? It looks metallic.
  14. Since all sets seem to have great mini-figures, I have to make my decision based on the models. Then Battle for/of Geonosis is my favorite, the proton cannon looks very good so far and I'm sure the technic shooter isn't too obviously placed and in the way, the speeder rounds the set of nicely.
  15. Agreed, would have been more interesting to have them in different colored Mando armor like in the EU, but sadly they are based on the Mandolorians from the Clone Wars Episodes. They are still nice but I definitely wouldn't need/want more than one of these battle-packs.
  16. On another note, with 2013 seeing a 3d version of the movies (not sure but I read TPM in 2012 and AotC in 2013) and it being the 30 anniversary of RotJ, I'm quite curious to see what bandwagon TLC is going to jump on, PT or OT sets. Sorry for the off-topic. Lets not forget this is a 2011 picture and rumor thread, not what trilogy is best/what will happen beyond 2011.
  17. Thanks all for the kind words. I actually came up with it years ago, never had a reason to use it though. They are supposed to be anyways, build them years ago inspired by another builders idea, mine are just a tad different.
  18. Besides being an dictatorial emperor of the galaxy, Palpatine realized that he needed an extra income to make ends meet every month, thus he started giving flower arranging courses. His students are not very impressed with his teaching skills though and don't really value his lessons. This fact would later of course sprout Palpatine's lust for vengeance resulting in his second Death Star. The classroom in all it's glory. Luke realized that for that A+ he needed something special to spruce up his bouquet, and a shiny object would do just that. Palpatine doing his best to keep the class in order and utterly failing. R2 has already suffered his punishment and had to stand in the corner with the dunce cap for speaking out of turn. Han had his own reason for signing up for the course, to meet hot ladies. Leia seems to occupied though. Boba is taking aim at Han while Chewie enjoys a hot cuppa and the space battle outside. The Ewok shows that he really doesn't need flower arranging courses and Darth is focused as ever to become the ultimate Florist. Background of the Moc showing the space battle. A few more close-up's can be found on My Flickr account. Enjoyed making it and hopefully people will enjoy out there will enjoy it as well, I wish everyone best of luck with the contest and thanks to the Eurobrick admins for throwing it of course.
  19. The questions we should be asking are: - Was the episode entertaining for you? Yes or no? Beyond that, you shouldn't expect too much, so Boba isn't a big bad guy most people expect to see, it's not like there haven't been more atrocious errors inside the complete series that made some scratch their heads in a stunned motion. Just try not to compare it too much with what is stated in the movie or EU cannon. Just see it as it is, entertaining. (at least for me, enjoyed watching the episodes)
  20. awh, no votes for me... hehe, congratulations to the winners, and now back to the drawing board to change my avatar again.
  21. I'm not sure who is responsible for the websites but I'm pretty sure they are taken offline and then they are archived, maybe even deleted, depending on their policy.
  22. haha, simply amazing, really made me laugh on this rainy morning, thanks.
  23. Wikipedia and google are your friends, it is actually a movie from the 80's which is having a sequel ?soonish? I do agree that it probably doesn't have enough popularity with youth nowadays, maybe the new movie would increase that, but I'm not sure it would be enough for lego to make a profitable license line out of it, but of course it's the Dream Lego licenses thread and I can definitely see why some people would want it. It would be a bit like a Doctor Who license, cool but hardly enough coverage to make it profitable.
  24. No doubt about it,... Jurassic Park would be a dream-lego-line for me. Well who knows,...maybe if they ever do get around to that fourth movie.
  25. Star Wars, it's what re-united me with Lego in the first place. Not to mention it combined two things I liked. Though I must admit, I also have a soft spot for City/Classic Town.
