  1. 40373 Fairground Accessory Set 71711 Jay’s Cyber Dragon 71713 Empire Dragon
  2. I do sometimes. I always try to not search for leaks, but sometimes reading this forum gets me intrigued too much & descriptions just aren’t enough. I would love to see the Leaky Cauldron as well. It would be nice having the brick wall in back with some kind of feature that makes the entrance. I was using the bar from Medieval Market Village as a stand in for awhile.
  3. This is the tricky part about any hobby...when is enough enough? Personally, I would say never. Space is really the only true killer of a collection. Once you run out of space, you have to then make the choice to sell some of what you have if you want new stuff, or just stop buying new stuff. It can get overwhelming for sure. I recently, for the most part, completely stopped getting comic books because it just started to feel like too much. I don’t see that ever happening with LEGO for me. Everything I have is built & either displayed(which gets rotated every so often) or is in containers. If space started to become a big issue, I would likely still buy, just not build them immediately. I do sometimes look around & see the vast majority of my collection just sitting there unbuilt. But I don’t feel as it’s too much.
  4. Another fantastic series of figbarfa from you, it’s great seeing what you come up with, you really have a great eye for pairing parts.
  5. Got’cha. And very true, it kinda is more of the same. That makes...five? I think, Gryffindor robes now.
  6. The torso is distinguishable, albeit minor. The only scarf uniforms are Dean Thomas & Hermione from the Advent Calendar. Both of their scarf ends are on the front. I think it’s great we’re getting a lot of variety in those uniforms, even if it is just for Gryffindor(which makes sense).
  7. What I find hilarious is the way you’re publicly going about wanting to buy this place. It’s like you’re trying to throw your weight around before you’ve even had words with the owner. You certainly do like to assume. Bonaparte not being here for a month doesn’t mean he isn’t up to date on payments or the goings on. There’s moderators & staff for a reason. A company doesn’t fail when the boss is out of the office. My humor level is appropriate for situations & quite tolerable. There isn’t anything to accept here on my end. Nice subtle insults, but they aren’t going to work. There doesn’t seem to be a lot to understand, nor to believe in(or not), unless you’re holding stuff back.
  8. No arms or legs that I’ve noticed. I keep my desired/most used minifigs in their own little plastic bags in boxes. I did notice loose hairpieces on some though. That retro space guy from a few years back, his helmet is very loose. And the GWP Christmas sleigh, those hairpieces, but not the hat, are loose as well. All bought second hand though, so I don’t know how they were handled or stored then.
  9. What I gather from your posting here & referencing the other thread is you’re upset because there was a disagreement on those SW helmets. That’s when you threw around buying the place. I took that as a, albeit weird, threat to change this place up once you buy it. It has nothing to with competency on business practices, it has to do with hurt feelings. I mean, if that’s how you handle them, have at it.
  10. Whew, what fun! This was good for a laugh. Throwing money at something doesn’t mean it’s for sale. The owner(s) have to want to sell in order for something to purchased. And “threatening” to buy this place over criticism of a view is hilarious. Forums are in decline, I feel, because there are many more options out there than when forums started. There’s so many social media platforms that are here or have come & gone that have taken people’s attention. Those places are more “flash in the pan” than lasting like a forum is. And there’s the bit of a problem with the need for instant gratification or Internet clout. People put too much stock in getting likes & followers...you don’t quite get that here. You get praise for your build, sure...but it’s more because there’s actual effort put fort in making a comment than simply tapping a heart or thumbs up icon.
  11. Well, it’s the same piece. But yeah, comparing the bag to the minifig, it looks a different, texture wise. That’s either from the editing on the picture or a different material used to make it.
  12. Children are the audience though... obviously I can agree to sets being popular with both kids & adults, we all can. It’s in our name. Ninjago was one of the top selling themes...so it’s clearly still very popular. Expressing good or bad feelings on any theme is fine, it’s when the feelings that are opinion are stated as fact is where the problem lies. None of us know if this theme will flop, it hasn’t even all been revealed, much less on the market. That’s all.
  13. Great scene. I really like the tree. Never seen those bamboo leaf pieces used with those other leaf pieces before. It’s a nice, full look.
  14. Not quite with this theme. People who like it haven’t said it’s going to be a gold mine. But the negative ones are saying it’s going to be an outright flop. First, we haven’t even seen everything yet, just a glimpse. It’s times like this where adults seem to forget LEGO is a children’s toy first. What we like/want is likely vastly different to what kids want. We’ve gone down this road far too many times, most recently with Minions & Trolls. as to your use of working in retail as some insider scoop on what sells & what doesn’t...that is true, for your area. I believe it was Hidden Side where I last saw this kind of talk. Someone was mentioning how the sets are warming shelves & constantly on discount. That’s not the case from what I see. This is pretty much exactly how I feel. I like the concept, it even seems pretty fun. Chances aren’t that good that I’ll buy any, but that’s because there’s higher priorities on my list. Just have to wait & see what else is on the menu. With that first video tease, I wasn’t too sure. Then they showed the other & I switched. I think it’s great, it’s basically a buildable Mario game, sounds & all.
  15. Bellatrix hair isn’t new, it’s the old one. The Book is a bit odd, I agree. The fur does give it a mix of colors, but it certainly isn’t significantly that color. Maybe with a darker brown that dark grey area got muddied & was harder to see?
  16. It’s really hard to tell seeing so little of it, but it looks to be different from the regular key. The regular key is all round, and the one Griphook is holding appears to have a short round area just to the side of where the minifigs hold it, then it has a different, straight angle before getting cut off my the logo. Maybe it’s a more ornate looking key. Still not super exciting...but a bit more than usual.
  17. It seems to me that the ones complaining about licensed yearn for the days of the Classics & think licensed is taking their spots away. While that has some potential, that doesn’t mean it’s true. Now that would be cool. I wonder if tried other more appropriate shapes & sizes but couldn’t fit the necessary components inside? It’d be neat to see that process from concept to final product.
  18. It looks to be a key, even though it doesn’t make sense for that version of Griphook.
  19. That would be cool, the more beasts, the better. With all animal-new & old- in the last series, I hope we get at least one or two more this time around.
  20. I mean, that Harry was from a pretty big moment in the series. But I do get your meaning. In relation to the CMF, this is a bit of a wasted spot as he’s not terribly exciting looking. Maybe this was the best place they could think of to put him instead.
  21. At first I thought the Mandrake was weird being a different piece, but I was having another look & I bet this is a full grown Mandrake as opposed to the baby one Neville & other students dealt with in class. These all look fantastic. Getting a real Fawkes is amazing. That version of Dumbledore is exciting considering we’re getting Privet Drive. Maybe a McGonagall with cat(although slightly repetitive) is also coming to complete the scene(just need baby Harry!). I will still grumble about paying $5 for these...but it’ll be quieter, because these are worth it.
  22. The negativity is funny, the doomsday end of LEGO is hilarious...one line of 14 sets theoretically not selling well doesn’t mean the death of LEGO...how stupid is that? I can’t believe adults are making these comments. It could do good, bad, or great. Only time will tell. But please, continue with the dumb comments, they’re great.
  23. Heh, never thought of that when discussing MOCers. Interesting. Since they started putting exclusive bits in the towers, I’ve become a bit of a minifigs MOCer. It really is quite fun, getting that perfect combination.
  24. My guess on the age thing could be due to the build of the helmets. I’m betting it’s a bit more fragile than a more run of the mill, target audience set, since these helmets aren’t meant for play, but display.
