  1. Well, two hours later & still going strong.
  2. Forbidden Forest. Well, glad I was keeping a close eye on the time & ordered the second they became available.
  3. I also grabbed the Burrow. Just need to get FF, which will happen tomorrow as well. *fingers crossed* Then I’m done purchasing for the year(thanks to DA whether I want to or not).
  4. I’m in! Good gravy my nerves were going bonkers. Refreshing every five minutes starting at 8:30. My love for HP & the hype we built up made me a wreck.
  5. I think I’m gonna try to do a building(well, baseplate) a day...but I doubt I’ll be able to manage that.
  6. You were gonna wait 3 months to build it?! You have the patience or willpower of a saint. How does one learn this skill?
  7. At least I’ll have the AT & PD to distract for a few days, those are due in tomorrow. And hopefully B&N will have them tomorrow as well so I can grab the FF set with my gift card. That’ll kill a few days of waiting. Then the built sets will hopefully distract for a few additional days, if not the rest of the wait time.. Right...I keep seeing all these “ordered” comments & it’s making me nervous!
  8. It’s such a toss up. I thought for sure the NES would sell out fast, but it didn’t until later that day(or it may have been the next). But, the Grand Piano sold out in about 15 minutes, I believe.
  9. Curbside is the issue here for me. My closest store is an hour & a half away, and without knowing where I am in line...I’m going to just order it on S@H. I don’t want to miss out on it over a phone call. I’m terrible. I’m a pretty patient person...unless I’m waiting for LEGO. I check my tracking page more times than is necessary every day. Whenever I hear or see the delivery truck, even though I know it’s not my day, I get both excited & disappointed. Back when that blue hot rod was the GWP I ordered at 9PM(where the site clocked midnight) & I got it.
  10. And a very welcomed trade off in my eyes. I’d much rather have this than less buildings but taller ones. It still doesn’t make any sense to me, it just looks awful. Take the archway to KA...it goes straight into whatever building one decides to put next to it. More power to those who go back to back, it just flat out does not look good or realistic, in the LEGO sense, naturally. Aye. If you’re short on space I get that, but then why not put it so the fronts are facing each other, with the walkways being together. It would be a more appropriate display. I’m gonna see how it looks on a 48x48 with more walkway in between.
  11. Yay, a review! So glad to at least see one more. I finished off my set with the other 8 last night. I took the box as well since it was low anyways. I got it home & realized it’s huge compared to the first series.
  12. I have a town that’s 6x7 32x32’s, it’s not that hard. As to the early shelved sets, Target had an August 15th release, not a Sept. 1. And maybe they allowed earlier on other stuff is because of the wonky release. First it got pushed from July(like the previous two years) to August 1st, to unknown. Then August 24th...for some, Sept. 1st for others. I have no clue. Then it also depends on stores. I remember I tried buying a Spider-Man set I found early on the shelf, and was denied by the register as it was street dated. And when a lot of others were finding sets & minifigs, I found nothing until the official time.
  13. Ah, that’ll do it. My LEGO-less store mall here has a Cinnabon & I swear, that smell hits you a mile away. Passing by one en route to the LEGO store...how could you not stop?
  14. BB-8 went by the wayside unfortunately...just missed out on it. Artoo wanted a friend.... I do like D-O but it would have to be a good discount for me to buy. I love the Porg. I imagine the Child will be much of the same.
  15. I saw it two days ago at one Target here in Northern Cali. I’m not really either, but after buying the Porg, I’m kinda hooked. Although I have no desire to get that creepy Yoda, but resisting The Child is going to be difficult.
  16. I used to feel awkward about it. My anxiety would flare up a bit as I wonder what passerby’s were thinking about me(and of course they were )...but I’ve done it enough times now that I don’t care at all.
  17. It’s back...maybe they were updating it from “Coming Soon” to Sept 1st.
  18. Mmmmmmmm, that sounds like the perfect LEGO trip. I’ll have to check if the malls I frequent have one!
  19. I get space limitations, we all do. I have no idea where mine’s going to go, no matter how I display it. But it makes zero sense. Why would the designers design a set where they suggest you take a set that was meant to be a row of buildings, & hide half of them? Or if back to back, instead of having them go along the line the of the shelf, turn it 90 degrees so you look straight at the sides of the buildings? I guess we’ll all see in due time. If anything, if you want to display it two buildings together, having two on one side front facing the other two on the opposite, to create an alley. B&N has updated their HP page & they have a couple of fun videos on there, one behind the scenes.
  20. Glad I’m not the only one. First off, why? Why would anyone put two fronts of two completely different buildings together to make one? It would look ridiculous. Then comes display. Why would the designers of this set suggest you display two facades so you can’t even see them? One could argue the Sanctum Sanctorum, but that set is on hinges & is clear from both the box art & build that it is meant to be a corner. They're meant to be connected side by side in a row. That’s it.
  21. As if we didn’t have enough extra wands, they decided to give us an entire extra pair in the AC. Ollivander is gonna we’d that older building just to store the wands.
  22. I don’t remember this being mentioned other than Kohl’s, but I found the AC at Target tonight while hunting for more CMFs.
  23. Like minifig prints, I’d say this boils down to price. For me, I’d rather see a level left out of WWW & get the current street we do get. Plus, all of the sets haven’t exactly been accurately sized. Not sure about their window decision though...
  24. Ditto. I just wish I had one closer. Round trip is about 4 hours(but so worth it). I mainly like going there, other than the PaB & BaM, is because I hate waiting for shipping. I become so impatient it’s embarrassing. Constantly refreshing get tracking page & perking up whenever a FedEx truck drives by...
  25. This is fantastic & hilarious! I love everything. His pose is great & the fireworks shooting him to space is creative. The build & details are awesome. Well done!
