10184 isn't a Modular, replace 10218 with that. I'm going with 10182. Despite not having an interior, it was a great start to the theme.

I'm not so sure. He mentioned a Bruce Banner movie...I'm thinking he meant minifigure, in the second half of his post, at least.

After getting the birds-eye-view of the sets, they're starting to grow on me a bit. Helms Deep, especially looks nothing like that blurry image we saw months ago. I'm a big fan, although not fanatical( ), like some here. I was previously excited for just the figs, but the overall theme is starting to warm my wallet. Damn as I might, I probably won't resist these. LEGO is a drug, I tell you! WWWHHHYYY!!!

Wow! Very impressive army there. I like the line up. Except that one golden knight needs his trusty steed!

Very cool. I would recommend another picture zoomed out more. Gives a better scope of the mosaic. For your first one, I think you did great job, very recognizable, even the cigar! Side note. I'm not completely sure, but I believe mosaics are supposed to be made up of all 1x1s. I've never bought or paid too close attention to the official LEGO mosaics, but I think they are. Not that that makes yours any less impressive, I just wanted to point that out.

Where'd you get this from? There's talk about wanting a Banner minifigure, not movie...

Marine Sets Lego World Record...
Vindicare replied to TypoCorrecto's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It was easy to miss. That topic started about someone else, and that picture was posted yesterday...or today. That's one impressive (built) collection there. I'd love to look around that house. -
Someone may be able to point you in a more direct path, but as to where to start... Just a rough idea, but watching Ultimate Factories last week, one designer said he sent a letter to LEGO and asked how to become a designer there, how ever long later, he graduated college(sounds familiar ), and he works for them now designing City sets. So, I'd say email LEGO and tell them what you just told EB. Just explain your situation and you'd like to work for them. Ask them who I need to talk to and if they could help you. I'm sure, one way or the other you'd get an answer.

Wow! What a great deal! Better not spread the word too much. They might add the "TRU" tax and you'll be spending about that much. Just kidding TRU...

Just checked, it says USD.

While I'm not up to speed on the goings about of SW fanatics, I know your above statement is false. I'm not entirely sure how you mean, "Universe". Do you mean literal fan base, or the imaginary "Wizarding World?". Either way, I still think you're at a loss. For one thing, SW movies had a 20+ year head start of getting fans. Just from here say of TV and Internet, the SW fans are much more hardcore than HP. Speaking of the latter, while wizards are "among Muggles , they're still isn't much "world" for them. They have the castle grounds, and a couple small villages(where they can be free to be who they are). Now, SW on the other hand, is an entire universe(possibly more), full of planets. I'm sure the SW aficionados here can better explain that world.

Wow! So much packed into such a tight space. How many pieces are there? That is a great depiction of the Tumbler. I'd be all over this if it were a polybag.

It looks to me like many people here are getting ahead of themselves. Im seeing words like, theme, new parts/minifigures, sets, etc... Now, I may be behind on this concept, because I didn't read the blog announcement and am not overly familiar with CUUSOO. Isn't CUUSOO just a one and done set? People are talking like this is the next great License theme to come out of Lego.

Speaking of the originally posted model...who in their right mind would want that? If you put it together, I'd think long and hard on if you'd ever want to take it apart... But, the other one, isn't too bad. Although, upon further inspection, my next point is kind of moot. That bunch of bricks would be good for landscape builders, particularly Medeival builders. But then, I noticed the "river" wasn't plates, kind of ruined that for me. This would be a pass for me, unless it was pretty cheap.

You have a great start there. You should look into the Creator houses, I think there's 2 available right now?

Which is your favourite 2012 Great Vehicle ?

I voted 4431. I need more traffic lights in my town. I also have a yellow curb! The new EMTs are really great figs, too. -
Hate to be the bubble burster...but it looks as though we won't be getting any. According to Brickset and the London Toy Fair, that is. Sad news indeed, if true.
-
Yeah, I read that, too... Along with 3 other great lines. Im crying inside while my wallet is laughing with joy. Traitor.

Nice little vig, MB. Were Harry, Neville and Ron late for class and forgot their uniforms?
-
Clearly it's not Fury. Going by what Brickset said, they can't show everything due to the movie not yet released. We all know what Fury looks like. I think we need to give Ironman a little bit of a break, for now. We haven't seen a final version of him.

MOC: Joint Security Area - North/South Korea
Vindicare replied to Dreamweb's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah, I bet that would be an awesome yet eerie feeling, much like standing at Gettysburg. Again, Dreamweb, I really think you did fine with your "more is less" approach. In this case, its definitely more about telling a story than an really well done model. -
That is one big toy duck!? I don't want to know the prices in that place, eek. Very nice details, both inside and out. I like how you chose to hinge it both the way you did and the place.

I've read this entire thread, but don't remember reading anything about a mistake in the instructions...where'd you hear that and what is it?

MOC: Townhouse Trio - Butcher, Barber, and Laundromat
Vindicare replied to sonicstarlight's topic in LEGO Town
Wow! That's awesome you have a display at a LEGO store! I especially like the barbershop. It looks to fit the best with MS and PS. -
Went to TRU today. They had all 3 last wave plus 4842. Where last week, they had hardly ANY LEGO, period. That means HP is still being shipped to stores. Maybe some hope lives.
