  1. I have a Ninjago adjacent question. I was looking at the Movie sets on Brickset & when I got down to the bottom I noticed something I hadn’t before. A Toys R Us promo “Can’t Buy Me LEGO.” It talked of 1 of 5 dioramas, and the one shown is great. I don’t know how this escaped my radar, as well as a friend who is a die hard Movie fan too. I’ve done a little digging but can’t find much of anything on the other sets. So I’m coming to the experts. Anyone know more about this? The other dioramas?
  2. A friend and I go a couple times a year, if not more, on release day. Best of all so we don’t have to wait for shipping. But then there’s the parts wall & minifig bins to look through and see if there’s anything good to find. Plus, it’s just fun going to LEGO stores.
  3. Well shoot…I’m not exactly in a hurry either, but I hope it ships on the 12th. Gives me more time to find a home for it I guess… LEGO seems to be drunk though, it keeps shifting from 60 days to the 14th, back to 60 days…now it says Feb 8th. At this point I’m just gonna check daily to see where it jumps to next.
  4. I have backorder question, and since it’s Barad Dur I’ll ask here. When I ordered it yesterday it said ship Feb 12th. Now it’s saying 60 days. I’ve never ordered a backorder set, am I right to assume mine will still ship on the 12th & the now 60 day is because they got more orders?
  5. You forgot GWP’s are a scam born of greed.
  6. Something I just realized(and very well could’ve been mentioned pages back) is that with each castle section we’ve gotten a common room with their respective House Ghost(starting off with the best House, Hufflepuff) So we’ll finally be getting the Bloody Baron with Slytherin’s common room next. I’d also like to see a remake, and better, Whomping Willow. It would probably be too much to hope for just the tree & Anglia…but it would be nice if no castle part was added so they could focus on the Willow.
  7. If they didn’t have budget for a full grown doe, then that would definitely be a happy medium.
  8. Man! Since this post I have more than doubled my collection. 1064 and 531,739 parts. My rank is now 4961. when I look at how many sets I want to add to my city but don’t have the space…I realize I have a large collection. Then I look at the general state of my Lego room, unopened sets piling up, bags of parts, piles of instructions….I think maybe I have too much(but then I come to my senses, that’s not a thing).
  9. Ahh, okay. I was looking at the small Architecture Castle set to see maybe where it went. Nothing I saw that didn’t have a gray roof. It’s nice to see them adding to that side of the castle, something for the lonely greenhouse.
  10. I’d like to see a full building Grimmauld Place. The one we got is pretty nice, but it’s just a facade. I have had plans to enclose it…but if LEGO would do it, that would save me time & part buying. To the castle, where is the First Flying Lesson chunk meant to go? It’s at the back of the instructions as part of the system, but it doesn’t show how it connects.
  11. Pretty sure I’ve said this before, but considering how much their mech builds have been improving these last couple years, a Gundam license would be awesome(G or Wing would be my preference).
  12. I was hoping for something more baseplate friendly, only to make it fit better. But holy cow is this fantastic! Loved it from pictures but then watched the designer interview & I'm very excited to get it. I like the straight(ish) line layout f can possibly make it work with the Modulars. For me, as someone who hasn’t kept up with the show, the minifig lineup is good, but not overly exciting. I would prefer more townsfolk in a set like this.
  13. Couldn’t agree more. I get it tech is the *the* thing but it doesn’t have to be everywhere. Plus, we all know TLG’s track record with apps & all that. They’ve gotten this far largely without it…I wish they would just give up on that stuff. I imagine it would be neat for a few minutes to hear spells being cast & maybe some kind of casting noise…but I feel like the gimmick would fade. Like with the Sorting Hat. Hit it a few times when I built it, haven’t touched it since.
  14. Well, this theme sure is going out with a bang! I love those crystal fox creature things. I dig that we get so many colors.
  15. With the pigeons & rat I thought it was NY. It’s the same on instagram. A lot of criticisms of it looking like a Creator set despite having none of the characteristics of being a Creator set. No open back & not even remotely the same size. One person said on numerous accounts that it looks like something from Rebrickable, and it seemed like an insult. Looking at the windows they’re inset. So unless they have jumper plates on the inside floating or on 1x2’s that piece could be that 2x2 brick with grooves. Me & buddy looked over that area yesterday once he spotted the part. He’s hoping it’s the 1x2 for sure.
  16. I really like it. It’s very reminiscent of a design idea of the Boutique Hotel. Love the dark orange/tan combo. And dark blue on the roof is great. Sand green is always a good decision. Love the layout of the buildings. It looks like they’re connected, but it also vaguely looks like there might be a walkway between(or steps getting into the music shop). I was looking over my city wondering where to put it. I was hoping it would be a 32x32 because that would be easiest. But with the name, I figured it would be at least 48…so I have some work ahead of me.
  17. Love the tiger shark tank! I just need better pics to see the parts & see if I can remake it in sand blue for Garmadon.
  18. When I went on the first to get The Goonies set I was hoping to grab the T-Rex set as well. But they only had a few sets, not on the shelves, but a little display square.
  19. This is amazing! The creativity & ingenuity is very impressive. I absolutely love the dragon, but I might love this more.
  20. Man…what happened to this theme? The location sets were by far some of the best sets they’ve done….nd they’re suddenly done making them? Did this theme get. Whole new design team? Neither of this years offerings, much like last years, do much for me. And only two mini figs in the bigger set is insulting.
  21. That’s a good one, @Graupensuppe
  22. I hope this is just them trying to appeal to device addicted folks. This set is one I was most looking forward to. I don’t buy Bricklink Designer sets solely because they’re digital. I only built one set using didgital, and that was the fully Venomized Groot. That was more than enough for me, I hated it.
  23. I love the Workshops but a few things are taking away from it. As mentioned the minifig lineup leaves quite a bit to be desired. Two generic City torsos is pretty lame in this set. That chef is a joke & they could’ve at least Ninjago’d the construction worker like they did the cameraman in Markets. I appreciate the departure from the usual locales of the series so far but it doesn’t really work with the old world that the previous ones showed. Industrial & feudal Japan don’t exactly mesh well. The right side building looks great but the garage door takes away from that feel. I also love the Mech aspect of this set. It reminds me of the real life Gundam(which I sadly never got to see).
  24. Built both of this year’s offerings. Both were very fun & par for the course for this theme. They’re still distinct enough to be their own build. Live the new toros on MK & Mei. Putting this out there too in case there’s others like me...I just learned all five seasons are on Peacock.
  25. Couldn’t agree more! I sadly missed out on the Dronecopter. While I haven’t looked recently, all parts to that Mr. Tang weren’t available through B&P(and haven’t looked elsewhere for him either). I really hope this theme hasn’t reached its end. It’s given us such great mechs & locations. The minifigs have been fantastic & a fun lesson in Chinese folklore on the side.
