    I can't see why they would do it. Their business model is to use minifigures to sell sets. The only comparison I can think of is Harry Potter, but in that case there was a phalanx of fans waiting to buy any and all Potter march.

    Hi, yes. I think Old Trafford would be a nice big display model sitting on its own. But it would be far, far too small to look like a real stadium should, if you put it in a Lego town set-up.

    No. I would say that the Old Trafford model would need to be approximately 10 times bigger in order to be in the same scale as a modular building.

    Nope, not sarcasm. (I have a range of sarcastic replies available for a variety of topics but I wasn't using one this time!) I thought the minifigures looked like nice, simple representations of Best, Law and Charlton, capturing some of their characteristics quite well. I think the stadium on it's own is a bit pointless without minifigures - I don't find stadia intrinsically interesting.

    Well done. I'm not sure that the actual building looks very attractive (maybe it's nicer in real life?), but the Lego model looks good.

    Is it possible that the poster meant he would rather see a reasonable sized play set with minifigures rather than an enormous, literally 'minifigures scale' set? So Hogwarts 75954 instead of 71043.

    Are you basically talking about building a mosaic? There are different approaches. You can build on the flat, for example one layer of bricks on a base plate. At the finest level of detail you would use 1x1 flat pieces or tiles. You would need a lot of them and you end up with a very pixelated picture. Like the official Lego mosaics. The advantage is that your picture can be symmetrical in every direction. I like to build on the side. It can't be symmetrical both ways, but it gives you a smooth surface for fewer bricks. With any approach, you can also put solid objects on top for variation. In your case you could arrange dishes or rods symmetrically. Other approaches use triangular bricks on their side, like the popular 'cracked floors' you see people doing here in MOCs.

    Beautiful as always. The right balance between structure and decay. The red trooper bodies really zing. And I like way your scenes are about the people and trying to tell a story.

    My opinion of Rise of Skywalker depends which hat I'm wearing. If I'm wearing my relaxed, 'It's only a popcorn movie' hat, it was a fast paced, entertaining ride. Some funny bits. Glad to see the Porgs and Ewoks. Ian McDiarmid and, particularly, Adam Driver were excellent. I liked Ochi's ship. If I'm wearing my 'objective' hat, I'd say it was a vacuous mess. The plot, if there is one, consists of racing around the galaxy looking for macguffins. I don't mind if a film has a thin plot if it looks and sounds amazing (Blade Runner 2049). Great story lines and acting can carry flimsy special effects (Blake's7). ROS has virtually nothing though. Nobody says or does anything of interest. Nobody's ever in real danger. At least TLJ had some striking imagery and scenes. I mean, I'm glad they're making Star Wars films. From 1983 to 1999 it looked like we would never see another. But they really need some creativity now. The prequels may have some laughable acting and dialogue but at least they were packed with memorable designs and memorable scenes. Bring back George...

    Hi @Henk61, you are very kind as always. Yes, they are all real Lego parts. The heads are all Star Wars. The hair is from Harry Potter, Ninjago, Creator and (I think) Dr Who. The 'how' is simple but difficult. Photography like this needs very, very bright light, natural or artificial. 1. Take a photo with your phone in very bright light, not too close. 2. Use an app to make the photo black and white. 2. Zoom in and cut each person out separately. 3. Use an app to create a collage of four photos. 4. Apply the 'Clarendon' filter in Instagram (Other social media are available. Well actually they aren't- Facebook owns everything.) 5. Use an app to reduce the final photo to a size acceptable to Eurobricks. Here is part of the original photo. The quality is not great because I already reduced it here for Eurobricks. You can also see that, for example, Nick Mason's hair colour is not really correct in the colour version. In black and white it looks better.
