I think Actaeon's birthday will be June 07. The day I joined. That shouldn't be too hard to remember, as it is written under my icon
-
Sadly, if there is a reference to something here, I'm missing it. Are there specific dates in the Heroica RPG lore that are significant?
-
So I just ordered Heroica from Bricklink. I bought Castle Fartaan and Waldurk forest. I also bought extra pieces so that I can expand the game for large groups. I can't wait until it all gets here!
-
I never though about his birth date. I should make it something interesting.
-
"Figures," Actaeon says, the disgust noticeable in his voice.
-
"Oh, right," Actaeon says, removing his hood, "I'm Actaeon." He extends his hand for her to shake.
-
Turning to Kiray, Actaeon says, "Oh, um, no problem, I guess. What's your name?" In reply to Diana, he says, "I see. That makes sense. He wants to hire people he knows he can maintain control of." After a pause, he asks, "Just curious, how do you know all of this?" He tries his best to hide the suspicion in his voice.

Thank you!

Can I change the age of my character? I completely forgot that I originally said he was 31. Right now I am thinking he is around 23 or so.
-
The best? That's a bit contrary to what I've been hearing. Actaeon thinks. "So then you think there will be some assassinating to be done, then? What do you expect us to encounter on this quest?"
-
I wondered this exact same thing when I first visited the market. I just hope that someone else on the quest has one, because all I could afford was a bedroll ;)

Actaeon watches the woman as she takes her seat a few tables away. Should I talk to her? She looks like she knows something no one else does, and she doesn't look happy. He waits for another minute trying to decide. Curse it. You're afraid because she's a girl. Don't be a coward, go up and talk to her. Besides, it's not like you're interested, you're just trying to get information. He finally stands up and walks slowly toward her. "Hello," he says, as he approaches, "I see you signed up for Quest #104. I am signed up for the same quest. What are you in it for? Gold? Glory? Or perhaps because of some injustice that needs remedied?"

"From what you've told me, it does sound like they were rather exhausting. I hope to get on either Quest #103 or #104. As a new ranger, I feel that the odds are against me to get into Quest #103, but I think I should be able to manage #104. We'll just have to wait and see."
-
"I'm sure that must come in handy at times." Actaeon barely manages to stop himself from staring at her skin. "Will you be going on Quest #103 or #104?" He asks, distracting himself.
-
"Interesting. What effect does being part wood have on someone?"
-
"Part wood? Interesting. I can't even begin to imagine how that happened." Actaeon says. A 199 year old, young looking, part wood, woman. She must have a very interesting life story.
-
"199? My. You look a lot younger," Actaeon says, "Wait, no! That's not what I- I mean- well- I mean I've never seen an elf before, I guess," he says, stumbling through the sentence.
-
"Only a few minutes in contrast to the rest of your life?" Actaeon asks, taken aback, "How old are you?"
-
Actaeon nods with a solemn look on his face. Take note he thinks that victory may cost more than you expect, and that tough decisions will come. He quickly stores the thought for another time. "How long have you been with Heroica?" Actaeon asks, eager to change the direction of the conversation.
-
Actaeon is silent for a moment. The Druid's answer stunned him. "I'm sorry," he says, quietly, not knowing what else to say. Say something to comfort her! his mind screams at him. Yet he knows there is nothing that he can say.
-
"I am, in fact, new. I just recently arrived in Eubric. But did you say brainwashed into monsters? How did that happen?"
-
"Actaeon Artus," Actaeon responds with a smile. "I hear that you just returned from a quest," he says, trying to further the conversation, "was it successful?"
-
Actaeon opens his mouth to speak, but the man turns away before he has a chance. A good opportunity to gather information missed. He thinks to himself. Stay sharp, don't let it happen again. Actaeon turns his attention to the conversation between the man who had just spoken to him and some apparent old friends. He tries his best to pick out important details of the conversation: their names, the relationships between the three, their classes, etc. He quickly flips out a tiny, leather bound notebook and jots down the details in short, choppy sentences. He does so with his back turned to the conversation to ensure that they do not notice. In a matter of seconds, the book is back in his pocket. He looks up to make sure no one has seen his procedure. It appears that he was not spotted. Most people would consider this information useless, but over the years, Actaeon has come to understand that no information is truly useless.

75 Gold? Actaeon thinks, Perhaps Heroes make more than I suspected. Or perhaps it is an extremely deadly bomb.
