  1. Right. I knew that.
  2. Just curious, how many people is your quest designed for?
  3. Yeah, I never really thought about that. I remember reading Brick Doctor's first few comments in this topic asking if we could ever see an open-world quest. It seems that probably won't ever happen. Semi-railroaded sounds like a good balance. My ultimate goal in this epic group is to host a quest. It probably won't happen for a long while, but I want to have as much information as I can when I do plan one. I know that most of the information will come from experience, but there some that won't. Thanks for answering my questions!
  4. I moved it to this thread, as you advised. Thanks for the info! I'm sure it depends on the person, but is there a general preference for railroad or open world quests? Also, what do you do if people are going in the wrong direction during a quest? Like if the party has spent a month in the wrong place searching for the wrong thing. Does the QM step in or at least hint that they're doing it wrong?
  5. Sweet! Looking forward to how they look! I think if I ever host a quest, I'll probably photograph it as it goes, just so the heroes have more freedom to try other things.
  6. Yeah, I can see that happening. So long as I'm engaged in it with an active role, I think that will be the case. It's the waiting that's killer Quick question for the QMs. Do you guys typically take the pictures as the quest goes on, so that you don't have to take pictures of things that might not happen, or do you guys take all the pictures ahead of time so that you can build other things and so that the quest doesn't stray too far off course? Or do you guys sometimes do one and other times do the other. I thought about asking about this in the FAQs, but it isn't really about game-play, so I kept it here.
  7. Is ours going to take this long?
  8. Awesome! Glad you updated Heroica hall, too. And look, I'm the first one listed! I swear that was not on purpose
  9. I'll read those for sure. If it helps me in the quest, I'll consider it a bonus. These quests are fun to read. Besides, I've got 20 days to wait anyhow.
  10. I think I threw myself into it by reading quests of higher levels and by trying to keep up with your talk of spells and being immune to negative effects!
  11. That's very encouraging, thank you.
  12. Ah, I see. That's pretty cool! I know that when I first saw Heroica, I thought that it would be one long story line, similar to GoH. Then, as I read through the rules, I thought that it would be like D&D with separate story arcs most of the time. Oh, cool! I know I sound impatient, but I really can't wait to get into a quest That's really useful, thanks!
  13. I wasn't even aware that the quests were interconnected! This game gets better and better Nice! Sweet!
  14. Will Heroica RPG actually end at some point?
  15. I'm beginning to realize this game is way more complicated and takes way more strategy that I suspected
  16. Yeah, that's what I am doing. I doubt I'll make #103, and I signed up for that one before I knew about #104 anyhow. Ah, I see. That is really good to know now rather than half way through a battle. Thanks! I wish. I am yet to attend any LEGO conventions yet
  17. I've been meaning to ask (yes, another question ), what is the "typical" lineup for battles? I noticed in #23 and #34 people with melee weapons tended to go first, then the rangers/clerics/mages went later. What is the reason for this? You can sign up for as many quests as you want. You might already know that, but I thought I would clarify
  18. Thanks for the tips!
  19. My bad! I did that for quest #103, but completely forgot for #104
  20. Actaeon nods, he's had experience with "scum". He notices that a new quest has been posted to the board. He nods his dismissal to Guts and walks to the board. "I might as well sign up," he thinks, "I'm bound to get on one or the other" Actaeon sings up for Quest #104
  21. Alright, that makes sense.
  22. Awesome, I might get to be on Flipz' first quest! I feel honored
  23. Sweet Do people actually read the level 1 quests? And how many level 1 players are there? I know of at least 5 active ones. Very interesting! Totally different than what I expected, which is good Nice job!
  24. Alright, sweet! Yeah, I've noticed in the quests I'm reading that some players go missing for a few decisions or even parts of a battle, that wouldn't be good if it was the Party Leader. That makes me wonder, what happens to someone who is on a quest who is inactive for a week or two? Are they kicked? Or is the fact that they won't likely get XP or loot their punishment?
  25. Honestly, they both sound really fun, but the monster is still more appealing. That may just be me though. Can't wait!
