  1. "Thank you for the help. We must make haste, so that we can make it to Charis before it is too late."
  2. Actaeon considers speaking, but decides he has no reason to until the emperor responds.
  3. Actaeon is a bit startled by her reaction. Not from the anger, but from the lack of it near the end of the conversation. "Thank you," he says, sincerely. OoC: So yeah, I'm ready to move on when everyone else is.
  4. Very true, but not all people (like me ) know each character's color or where everyone's other character is.
  5. I'm already getting really confused with these second characters. Is there any way that people could put the picture of the character they are talking as above their text like QMs do for NPCs?
  6. No story line, but Characters are all at least somewhat developed. They all have interesting back stories that usually interrelate. They also all say different things whenever you click for them to go somewhere and they usually relate to their story. Their abilities often do as well.
  7. I assumed that was what the bigger version of the teddy behind her was! She's not really a witch, but she does use fire as a basic attack, a shield, and two spells.
  8. Is this based off of Annie from League of Legends? Love the figure, by the way!
  9. I'm waiting for my Nintendo 64 to arrive from our shipment. We moved back to the states and we still haven't gotten our stuff yet. I'm going to borrow the Zelda games and some other classics to play since I never actually played them as a kid. I'm looking forward to it!
  10. Is it just me or is Quest #104 moving quickly? Or are we just talking a lot? There are already 13 pages of discussion
  11. Ooc: I would help search, but it's confusing chronologically to search while I'm in conversation
  12. Actaeon nods to Siercon then turns back to the conversation.
  13. OoC: Dangit Siercon, I didn't have time to respond :P Actaeon steps next to his companion, "We're here to provide assistance. Whether that means helping clean up or killing the monsters that did this," he says, determination once again apparent in his voice.
  14. Actaeon considers it for a moment. "Yeah, actually, I should be able to. I didn't even think of that. Good idea, Germ."
  15. After my weapon is ready, I am ready to sleep.
  16. "Thanks buddy," Actaeon says, grateful someone is willing to help, "I'll pay you back as soon as I get the money." "Julius, I'd like to upgrade my Sanctified Rito Bow to level 6 please," Actaeon says a he hands Julius 55 gold. Actaeon now has 0 gold remaining. OoC: That puts me at power 9
  17. Wow. Diana talks about her story and suddenly everybody is interested. I tell something that I've told no one before, almost nobody says a thing. Actaeon picks up the Sanctified Rito Bow. He then asks, "Anyone have an extra 5 gold? If so, I could upgrade this guy to level 6." I'm going to miss you, he thinks, looking at his old bow, but I'm going to need to retire you.
  18. After exposing his past to the party, Actaeon notices a letter in the grass. He picks it up, and upon reading it, he immediately signs his name. Maybe my luck will turn again.
  19. Three years already? It's gone by so fast! Seriously though, this has been so awesome! I've only been here for 2 months, and I'm totally loving it.
  20. Yay! I like how much character development just went down starting with the most recent battle!
  21. "My parents were both alive when I left," Actaeon finds himself saying, thought he's barely aware of the words coming out of his mouth, "My father is probably dead by now," he says, as if it is the first time he himself realized it. "Terminal disease. Some doctors figured it out when I was young. I barely remember it. It never stopped dad from doing the things he wanted to and needed to do. He was the best dad I could ever ask for. He spent his last years planning and working 16 or more hours a day. We owned an inn, though business wasn't common in our town." Actaeon pauses. "He figured out exactly how much money it would cost my mother to survive after his death. He also calculated how much getting started at Heroica would cost. Travel, weapons, food- all of the stuff I would need. He spent over a decade working to save up for my mother and the rest of the time he spent getting the money for me to get started. I had always wanted to join Heroica. Ever since... well... a long time ago." Actaeon's face turns darker as he continues to speak, "My mother never liked me. I never understood what I did to her, but I never remember her saying anything kind to me. Ever. She never approved of me or my dreams to become a hero. She didn't think I could do it. I never understood why my father loved her. Yet he did. A few months after my father finally got enough money for my mother to live without him and for me to leave for Heroica, we got some bad news. He had just a few days, hours even, to live. Immediately he told me to leave for Heroica. He didn't want to die unless he knew I was gone and living my dreams." Actaeon takes a deep breath. Now fully aware of his words, "He planned everything out. Everything. You can't even imagine how many details he worked out for my mother and I to live our lives. I guess... I guess I inherited that mentality. I try to find all the little details and put them together like a perfect puzzle," he pauses looking at Diana and Kiray, "I guess that's why I exploded. The pieces didn't quite align the way I wanted to."
  22. Actaeon walks alone for a while. He doubted he could say anything without getting a glare. Why does it feel like that was the biggest mistake I've ever made? All I did was shout at some girls and get myself knocked out. We won the battle anyways. Why does it seem like my skills in the first battle where I managed two triple shots and two normal hits didn't even happen. Not to mention the fact that I strategized very well and led us to victory. Why is that suddenly forgotten? He watches as the others begin to converse. I guess people forget the good you've done when you screw up. His thoughts wandered to the scenery until he realized something. The only thing that will help this situation is by proving that I am still who I was before the commotion. I just don't know what to say to anyone. Maybe they'll approach me, he thought hopeful.
  23. OoC: Ah, I see. Sorry, it kind of fits your character, but I misread. Actaeon decided it's best to just stay silent. He'd done enough.
  24. Well, I'm glad some people are closer because of this. "I understand. It was a good plan," Actaeon says trying not to sound sullen.
  25. Calmly, Actaeon responds to the loud mage, "Why are you shouting? I can hear you perfectly fine without it," good grief, one mistake and everybody hates you. "I wasn't aware that the cloak didn't work for my class. Siercon, I'm willing to give the robe to you. However, it is worth 60 gold. I'm sure you understand that in the next loot division you probably won't get as much." Actaeon divides the loot- Kiray- Mediocre Pongcanis Brew- 10 gold Warlen- (keeping Siercon's gifts should be plenty) Siercon- Robe of the Dastanian Pongcanis Champion Germ- 15 gold Diana- (Already got 43 gold from the battle) Actaeon- 20 gold Actaeon speaks up after the division, "Well, now where do we go?"
