How did they even know you would offer us transportation? What if we had accepted the ride with the Captain? Their plan would obviously never have taken place."

    Actaeon's eyes narrow on the machine. That's what attracted the beasts. "Who had access to this ship before we left?" he asks Nicole, clearly upset.

    "Alright everyone. Here's the loot divvy. I'll give the Phoenix Essence to Kiray, since she's the strongest. But if we don't use it during the quest, I will want it back. Kiray- Flameproof Armor, Phoenix Essence Warlen- Sapphire, 15 gold, potion. Siecron- 35 gold, Dragon Scale Diana- Remedy, 20 gold (you already got some from the battle). Germ- Remedy, Potion, Dragon Scale, 20 gold Actaeon- Remedy, Dragon Scale, 25 Gold, and Scroll of Frailty Daeth- 5 gold, potion. I hope that seems fair!" OoC: Daeth gets less because he was gone all battle.

I think the young mage has proven himself to be very useful." OoC: Do either of you guys know if technically a non mage or cleric can use the Scroll of Frailty?"

    OoC: This may be a dumb question, but can a hero other than a mage or cleric use the Scroll of Frailty? I noticed that we don't have ether, but it says nothing about being class specific. "Well done everyone. Time to divvy the loot up!" Actaeon says, trying to hide his excitement. "Nicole and Shadow, we greatly appreciate your help in battle. Since we are paying you for this voyage, I hope you won't be too disappointed if we divide the loot among the heroes." "Kiray, you already have some defenses, and since this is our very first battle, I think a lower level, weaker hero should get that. And Siecron, do you mind letting Warlen have the Saphire?" Ooc: I'll divvy after my questions are answered

    Actaeon, still somewhat frustrated, "I still need you to target the Phoenix though, since you hit hard. We're putting our 4 strongest on him so that the risk of the Phoenix burning us all is worth it! That's why Shadow is on Lessar Roc, though." he says, maybe she didn't hear me before.

    "Kiray!" Actaeon shouts, eyes wide in alarm, "We can't risk that! We could lose three people if the Phoenix burns us twice!"

    Actaeon suddenly realizes something, if the Phoenix gets two Empyreal Flames off, we lose three people, me included. That can't happen. Yet I don't want to waste my potion so early.     "And Yuji, you have to heal us. Heal the weakest party member, or somehow get a miracle." OoC: Flipz, if the Phoenix manages 2 specials, I would only take 3 damage, right? I noticed I took 2 just now, due to rounding, but if there were two specials, it would be 6/2=3, right?

    Actaeon glares at the Phoenix for a moment, then refocuses, that was a bad round. At least I hit my target. "That could have gone better. I think that the Lesser Roc recovering may have helped us. Now we can be sure to take out the Phoenix. Siecron, Nicole, and Warlen, hit the stupid Phoenix again. Warlen, keep it up! Hopefully the battle will be over before you run out of Ether. Kiray, can you switch to the Phoenix? As much as I hate his damage, we need our 4 big hitters on him so that it's actually worth it. The rest of us will take the lesser Roc." "And Diana, it's against my better judgment to send you in first, but you I trust you can handle yourself well enough.     OoC: Shouldn't Kiray hit more than four? She's level 4, with 7 Power, and a weapon with 3 WP. Meh, not that it matters, I probably missed something anyhow. "Well done! With the dragonlings out of the picture, we have to be sure to focus down the Phoenix. We don't want our work to be for nothing! I suggest that we split our attacks equally, 3 on each, but with the three strongest on Phoenix. So, Siecron, Nicole, and Warlen are you up to attacking the Phoenix? Warlen, Kiray is already busy, and you've been dishing out a lot of damage. Everyone else just pick one or the other, but be sure to target the Phoenix if the one you picked is already Knocked Out. And Diana, I assume you want to target the Juvenile Hippogriff, since he is not immune to instakill?" Actaeon, still from the back row, targets the Juvenile Hippogriff with his bow, though he stays prepared to target the Phoenix if the Hippogriff is dead already. Daeth prepares to heal the weakest player, though if somehow, no one needs it, he gets ready to attack the Juvenile Hippogriff from the front row. He also is prepared to attack the Phoenix if his target is dead and no one needs healing. Germ, Daeth, I'm switching you guys to the Tundra Dragonling. That's assuming no one takes elemental damage. If someone takes damage, Daeth, try to heal them. If not, do what I just said. Hopefully you can take him out. Kiray, do you think Shadow can come in and try to kill off any of the low HP enemies that we don't K.O? Everyone else, stay on the same enemy as before."     This may be a dumb question, but do I need to split the loot with her (Diana)? In character, I would, but I wasn't sure how that would tie in with dynamics, as she is an NPC.

    Actaeon grins, that could not have gone any better. You managed a triple shot, your party is healed, and you can't take damage next battle. Well done, I'd say! . "That was a prefect round! Keep it up! Diana, can you finish off the Bird of Prey? I appreciate your willingness to sacrifice potential gold, I think it will help everyone in the long run! Since we're immune to all damage, I want to focus on Phoenix so we can guarantee it doesn't last longer than the rest of it's allies. Siecron, can you target Phoenix again? And Nicole, can you switch to the Phoenix? You're our next big hitter. I also want us to finish off the ones with lower health so that we don't take free hit damage next round. So Kiray, I would recommend the Mountain Dragonling, since you hit 7. I'll target the marsh dragonling and hopefully take him out. Germ and Warlen, try taking out the other two dragonlings with only 2 HP, we won't have to deal with free hits if you can. Kiray, should Shadow maybe target Phoenix as well? We need damage on him, and we can't take damage, so it's a good time. And Daeth, since no one will take damage, attack Phoenix from the front row as well." Actaeon shouts all of this while springing to the back row and aiming at the Marsh Dragonling with his bow. OoC: Check my next comment to see why some things are crossed out.
