I do think that you did play an interesting role Matn, several players didn't have many more abilities that casting a single spell, or in Hewkii9's (I think so, anyway) case, a spell and a broomstick. You were a werewolf, and were also a converted hallowed. And you at least got to play . Sirius When can we expect a sequel?

Sorry, couldn't resist . We should start seeing the sets pop up at various TRU stores soon that it is about a month from the official release at TLG. Sirius

Wow, this has become quite a discussion. I think that just about everyone here agrees that the responsibility (blame) does not fall on TLG. While many of us use our teeth on bricks (Not that i do that, of course )to separate them, it seems unlikely that this is dangerous. I don't believe that this is the child's fault, or that he was stupid, or even ignorant. Accidents happen to everyone, and i don't think that it is right to cast aspersions on a five year old child's intelligence for choking on a brick, or to blame him, or TLG. The best that we can do is wish him a speedy recovery. I don't really think that there is anything else that can be added to this conversation. Sirius

Ahh, but TLG just about always bases their sets on the movies, not the books. If you watch the movies, especially PoA, during the Time turner scene, there is most definitely a second room. Sirius

Bellatrix is one of the best minifigs that we have gotten from this line, but i have to say, i have not seen very many themes that have produced characters of such a quality as we have seen with HP this year. The main fig that i was hoping to see but didn't get was a generic death eater. I do hope that HP is given a second run in 2011. I am guessing that this mystery figure is part of the upcoming set that Svelte mentioned to us, but still have no idea. How soon can we expect to see it up? Sirius

REVIEW: LEGO Harry Potter 4842 Sveltewarts Hogwarts
Sirius Black replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
This is an excellent rendition of the upcoming Hogwarts! I have to admit, it almost looks better having the staggered walls instead of the giant panels, though i am not sure about the removing of all of the dark tan. In the movies, the walls of many of the buildings appear to be in both a combination of tan and dk tan. I do wonder about your minfigs though . Was that a Collectible Minifigure series 1 zombie head that i saw on the ghost? This is undoubtedly the best official set of Hogwarts produced yet. Excellent work, Svelte! Sirius -
I have picked up close to a hundred pounds from him, and have contacted him asking him the very same question. He stated that they were all Lego, and it appears that some are factory overprodcues due to the fact that some of the elements in his lots (eg trans-orange windshields from Mars Mission) are in incredibly high quantities, and the selection of parts is not like you would find by merely dealing with damaged boxes. This seller is probably the cheapest way to get Lego, though. Sirius

A Lego Universe Trading Card game??? On top of Ninja-Go? I can't say that some of this sounds very appealing. So PoTC is confirmed? That is one line that has potential. A pity that we have no classic trilogy series sets. Sirius

Just a reminder, Legos aren't edible .
-
I cant see Lego getting in trouble or losing business over this. Practically any toy, when inhaled, is dangerous. I do hope that the kid is alright though, but honestly, Legos are not edible, and it is the child's fault that this happened. Honestly, TLG cant prevent children from attempting to swallow/inhale bricks. All that they can do is provide warnings, and since they have, the people at fault are the parents and the child. Sirius

LEGO Risk, Anyone?
Sirius Black replied to Daniel Williams's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It does seem like this is nothing similar to the board game of risk. The units, and parties (Axis/Allies), that you selected remind me more of Axis and Allies, than risk. Interesting idea though. Sirius -
True, but it is likely that TRU, for example, will begin carrying them in mid September, or earlier. My store has had sets released up to a month in advance. We should have just a few more weeks of waiting left Sirius

Agreed. Somebody needs to design some decals for the figures, unless we wish to dish out 2-3 dollars a torso, which is ridiculous.
-
Excellent work! Are you planning on finishing the roof, or are you leaving it exposed? Cormac is a good figure, as is slughorn, but i am not quite sure about the dwarves. Were they ever included in the Harry Potter series? Or were you intending them as goblins? The detail on this is very impressive in places, and while i do not remember how accurate to the movie this is, it is a great design. Good Job! Sirius

Great Work! I just had a few comments. I agree that the interior seems a little large, and the rooms almost seem to big to be to the proper scale. If you watch the movies, the hut is much smaller. I like the addition of the second room area, it is a part that TLG has never included in their sets. Great Job Sirius

  . Now that is absolutely hysterical. This is one of the most inspired mocs that i have seen in a while. It is brilliant! I wonder what other themes you could do this to (HP, Atlantis, etc). Great Work! Sirius

Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley are must haves, but it would be awesome to get each house's common room with an assortment of students. Seeing as the new torsos are going to be only in Slytherin (and those will be expensive) and Gryffindor, it would be great to have Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw as well. Sirius
-
It looks to be a great model! I would reccomend placing dark tan tiles (or dk grey, if you dont have the former) over the headlight bricks that you placed on the walls, it would give it a more stone-like look. Btw, i like the use of the joker time . Good Work! Sirius

It still is pretty pitiful that the Hogwarts Express is expected to be worth 80% of what the Emerald Night gave us. I mean, the figures are great (Ginny, Luna, Draco, etc) but the train itself is awful. What was the piece count on it anyway? I would be surprised if it was even 60% of the EN size wise. Sirius
-
Lime Green that sounds interesting How about a metallic silver one Or TLG could do a second line of translucent colors, that would be interesting . So it is confirmed that the mold will be the same as the previous ninjas? Sirius
-
Wow, You're bursting with enthusiasm about this moc  . Sorry to tease, but i couldn't resist Siriusly though, it is a good moc Sirus

We also have to consider that the United States really came into power based on the events of WWI, because of the increase in industry and the general weakening of the European Empires. If Germany had won, the roaring twenties and thirties probably would not have occurred, meaning that America's economy would not be anywhere near as developed as it was. America would not have become a world power as easily if WWI hadn't occurred either. I guess that the proper question would be what would have happened if Napoleon hadn't assaulted Russia, causing him to lose half a million troops.
-
Wow! That is an excellent creation! The color scheme is perfect as well. I can just see a whole fleet of mocs based on 5892 now . Could you have designed the body so that instead of using the 4x4 plates w a row of studs, you would use 4 2x2 plates in the same color? BTW, why is an A-Wing pilot flying? . Good Work! Sirius
-
Well, this looks to be a bit of a disappointing theme. It is obviously directed to the younger range of Lego fans. If all that this theme is is differently colored minifigs, this is pretty disappointing. It is like a spin-off of the collectible minifigs. A dark red ninja or a dk. green one sounds interesting though Sirius

Awesome Moc! The color scheme is impressive, this puts the original set to shame! The blue is the best part of this, it really completes the look. Excellent decals as well! I love the troops too. Great Work! Sirius
