  1. The Robin Hood trilogy of Hood, Scarlet, and Tuck, by Stephen Lawhead. And Harry Potter, or course . Do we have any readers of Harry Potter fanfics here? Siruis
  2. Okay..... Indiana Jones fighting He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named on the Emerald Night ? I am more than a bit confused. I do have to say that all of the Hogwarts Expresses are rather pitiful, and would have loved to see an Emerald Night style one, but that is not going to happen. Sirius
  3. Interesting that Draco is on the cover, but his dad is a student at Hogwarts with Harry and the rest . So we will hopefully get the sets released in TRU by early/mid september. Any speculation on what TLG would include if they create a second wave of sets? Sirius
  4. Are you planning on designing the rest of Hogsmeade (Not the entire thing ) based on the movies, or the books, or a combination? BTW, are you planning on finishing your Hogwarts? It seems to have stagnated . Sirius
  5. Agreed that Britain is the most loyal country in Europe, but even the English have fought Civil Wars in the past. I highly doubt that the English patriotic sentiment spreads to all of its citizens. But i do agree that the majority of the English citizens would have fought a fascist party. New Question: What if Napoleon won at Waterloo? Sirius
  6. However, there was a British pro-Nazi, semi fascist party.
  7. Awww... (weeps bitterly) Not even one for guessing instead of having us keep voicing our opinions here? Oh well... Though i do think that we already have an inkling that there will be a set . Sirius
  8. Siriusly, i don't really think that there would be all that many features that you could include. It is a building that is very drab, all in greyscale, and the fact that there could be a kitchen, bedrooms, and a family tree really isn't all that impressive. The drab look of the set would also probably mean that the younger audiences wouldn't be interested. While the minfigs could be interesting, I would be shocked if they made this a set. However, a modular Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley has a lot more potential, color, and variety. Somebody should start a poll about what the upcoming set will be. It would be interesting to see what the most popular choices are. Eagerly awaiting a MoM, Diagon Alley, AND a Hogsmeade . Sirius
  9. Good Job Matn! I like the use of the flowers and teacups as decals, along with the pink roof, it is very similar to how i pictured the actual building. It has excellent woodwork too! The door technique appears interesting, could you tell us a bit more about that? Does it have any interior? This would make an excellent start to a Hogsmeade diorama . Great Work! Sirius
  10. He could be at Shell Cottage after escaping from Malfoy Manor, but not sure.. Sirius
  11. MEGABLOCKS? On a LEGO fan site?? Find a Moderater! (Finished ranting now) phew... The figure is rather interesting, but look at the quality of that 2 by 4 megablock that it is standing on.. It looks awful. The figure is interesting though. Sirius
  12. It is an impressive game... Hopefully we'll be able to participate in some future ones! Great to have another fan of HP as a member! Sirius
  13. Welcome to EB. I bet that you get ridiculously high shipping charges in Brunei . Enjoy!
  14. Great to have another former "Shadower" of EB now a member! Hope that you will enjoy the features! Enjoy!
  15. I would have to recommend the Battle of Endor to younger kids, it has probably the MOST possible play features that a set can have. While it is pricey, you get more for your money, it has a much larger selection of figures, vehicles, and bases. For the clone wars sets, if you get any, make sure to get a clone battle pack or two.The Hoth Wampa Cave also is a great set for a kid to play with. The Hoth battle packs are also a great choice! #1, Battle of Endor #2, Hoth Wampa Cave Hope that this helps!
  16. I would be surprised if it was number 12 Grimmauld place, i can't see that being a hit with most buyers of Lego, as there is not much you could do with it. It is unlikely that this will be a 400 dollar set, probably about $150-$250 USD instead. I dont quite get your statement about this being released because the line was cancelled btw; are you thinking that this was something considered to go with the last round of Harry Potter, as in OOTP? The three most likely possibilities are Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley/Gringotts vault, and the MoM, to my mind at least. Still holding out hope for a $250+ UCS Hogwarts though . Sirius
  17. Since Svelte seemed to indicate that the actual set had already been mentioned by another member a few days back ("some of you are right, some of you are wrong"), it seems likely that we will be getting most likely either Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade, with a possibility of the MoM, a larger Hogwarts, or, in my opinion, a very unlikely chance of Malfoy Manor. I think that we will most likely get Hogsmeade, because it plays a more important part in the later movies. It would have been interesting to have had a Lego Kings Cross station, or an Azkaban (though that seems too dark for TLG).
  18. It would be similar, but not quite accurate, the front of the train especially is different. Do they even make the 4 by 2 slopes on the Emerald Night in red? Would you mind telling us the name and the price? Thanks Sirius
  19. Hmmm... Svelte, can you tell us if this is a building or something else? A UCS style Hogwarts express actually has some merit. Considering the AFOL response to the regular set, i would not really be surprised to see it become an Emerald Night-level train. Sirius
  20. Hmmm... Maybe i was onto something about a UCS Hogwarts, Probably not, it is more likely that it will be Diagon Alley, but there is a possibility of a Gringotts Bank, or maybe it is just a part of the castle, (Great Hall), or it could be from something else... Does this mean that we will have several more Harry Potter sets next year to coincide with DH part 2? Sirius
  21. Rather, a humongous spider who happens to have an entire clan of relatives . It is interesting though that Ron is the only one that has a scared expression.. If you do remember the scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, his face was rather comical, so i can see why it was included . Sirius
  22. I must say, some of these sound quite interesting. Was the Samurai armor similar to the official ninja theme, or was it entirely different? Sirius
  23. I have to say that i completely agree with you, except i didnt even finish the third one . But the sets should be interesting.
  24. Good Grief It looks like Hogwarts was leveled, not damaged. But this does mean an epic battle of Hogwarts Sirius
  25. It was the idea of the original series, but the main problem with them is that they weren't meant to be an accurate representation of Hogwarts from the exterior or interior. The main castle especially is very weak in design, at least to me, when compared to the real thing. I definitely agree that the newest one has an excellent selection of parts, and some of it is fairly accurate. I was thinking that if the rest of Hogwarts was built in a similar scale, it could end up being a 4-5000 piece model. While I don't expect this to ever be done, it would be a must-have if it were released. The falcon didnt have any interior, unless you count the 4 seats in the cockpit and the gunners seat. Most UCS models are designed to be accurate on the exterior only, look at the RBR, ISD, DSII, etc. Even if a Hogwarts was designed without interior, it would still be impressive, and would have the same intent as the UCS line, accuracy. I probably will end up getting a lot of dupicates this year of 4842 though Sirius
