  1. Lion King in LEGO would be "shut up and take my money" 100% no matter what they made or how expensive it ended up being. My favorite animated movie of all time.
  2. Maybe its considered a "licensed part"
  3. I just wish we got more X-Men stuff (or some Fantastic Four stuff) That and I still want to add Hawkeye to my collection...
  4. Looking at the new parts from the Shuttle, it appears (at least for me) that most of the new parts are being sold. The NASA curved slope, NASA 6 x 6 tile and USA 6 x 6 tile show "no results" and the solar panels and white 2 x 2 plate with click hinge and 2 studs are showing up with an 0.0 price but the rest seem to be for sale (some may be out of stock of course). Printed cheese slope control panel, windscreen, printed hatch slope, corner curved slope, both United States bricks, all the new silver bits and the big cargo door panel are all showing up with a price for me. I can also see a price for the torso and legs from Pooh and Piglet plus the legs from Rabbit although all the special stuff (molded heads etc) is "no results" as expected) Tigger's white sack is showing up as for sale as well along with the new parts from that water park set (new torsos, blue slide)
  5. So far the Labrador comes in tan in the Family House and in reddish brown in the Town Centre with the lime green harness. A black harness was due to appear in the now-canceled crooks hide-out (which at least shows that LEGO intended the harness mold to fit the German Shepherd as well as the Labrador). Would definitely be nice to get the harness in more colors in the future...
  6. Main Square is a good set, its just poor value. The fact that I can get the City Cargo Train for only $20 more than the Main Square here in Australia (when the cargo train includes the expensive bluetooth stuff and all that train track) shows this perfectly.
  7. The fact that the Main Square set from last year (with the yellow tram and stuff) was such poor value (as compared to previous similar large sets such as the one with the orange tram in it and also as compared to other current City sets including the current City passenger train) didn't help its sales and probably contributed to the decision not to release a large set like that in 2021.
  8. Even given the guns and such, someone like Foghorn Leghorn (who I dont think is controversial enough to keep them out) would have been better than an unknown character like Petunia.
  9. I do wonder if the decision that (because of the anti-gun PC stuff going on in the US right now) the new Looney Tunes cartoons would take the hunting rifle away from Elmer and the 6-shooters away from Yosemite contributed to the decision not to include those characters in the CMFs...
  10. I am surprised they went with an unknown character like Petunia Pig (Lola at least appeared in a lot of modern Looney Tunes stuff such as Space Jam and is well known but I am a Looney Tunes fanatic and even I didn't know who Petunia Pig is) instead of someone more well known and popular like Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn or Yosemite Sam...
  11. Looks like my B&P order has finally shipped. Now to wait for it to get from Denmark all the way to Australia, hopefully it doesn't take forever to do that...
  12. I like what I see and will be buying most of these I suspect. I do think Petunia Pig is a stupid inclusion given how little she appears on screen (Lola Bunny I can understand given that she appears all over the more modern Looney Tunes content starting with Space Jam but Petunia Pug...) They should have put someone else more well known in that spot. Whilst some characters like Elmer Fudd or Pepi Le Pew might have been too controversial to include, surely someone like Foghorn Leghorn or Yosemite Sam would have been OK...
  13. Still no movement on my order from the 12th of March. Although with over 100 lots to pick, I shouldn't be surprised that this is going to take a while to pack and ship...
  14. The guy who did the calendar is in our LEGO club and he was talking about the Designer Program process at the BBQ we had last weekend and its clear from the things he had to say that these sets will have a higher price-per-piece than normal LEGO sets.
  15. I don't see any leaks of a new crocodile/alligator. I see one picture with a crocodile (and a car driving over a bridge) but that's just set 6490 and is the old crocodile mold.
  16. Nope, it isn't available (its both a licensed part and a CMF part so its not surprising its not available)
  17. The last hospital we got was in 2018 and I think that's the best looking hospital they have produced in the City line (and a great source of parts for anyone doing a MOC hospital as well). That year also gave us an awesome looking red and yellow rescue helicopter.
  18. I wonder if Johnny Mnemonic would be considered "acceptable" on LEGO Ideas... EDIT: Looks to be rated "R" in the US according to IMDB so that probably rules it out...
  19. I wonder what the A$ value for similar special B&P shipping would be...
  20. My order (12th of March) hasn't shipped the B&P yet. The fact that I have 104 different pieces in the order is probably not helping matters...
  21. Duh, how could I forget that. I even bought the green arcade pod. Although for some reason most of the sets just didn't appeal to me (even as a lover of Cyberpunk). I guess I am looking for something closer to the style of Cyberpunk you see in Tron or in the William Gibson stuff rather than the more Japanese Anime type Cyberpunk that the Ninjago sets are no doubt inspired by.
  22. I think its simply that there has yet to be a set design situation where the high cost of the goat (both making the mold either for the old goat or a new design and the cost of actually producing the part and putting it in the set) is justified and where existing parts (i.e. some animal they already have) aren't a suitable option.
  23. I think more food trucks in general would be great. So far we have an ice-cream truck from The LEGO Movie, another ice-cream truck from City and a pizza truck from City with Friends having a few as well that might work if modified (I converted the Friends hot dog truck for a MOC a while back and it looked decent)
  24. Maybe we need to convince the people at Marvel or Lucas to put a goat into the next MCU or Star Wars film in a scene where the goat is essential to the scene and the scene is essential to the movie...
  25. The fact that they put a Kendo Dojo in a City set this year shows that they clearly aren't averse to including Asian stuff in City even with Monkie Kid and Ninjago and etc out there.
