I can't find actual pictures but someone has reported seeing some friends-the-TV-show minifig key rings.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
jonwil replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Looks like the orange classic space helmet (as seen in Ninjago Gardens) is available and for sale right now. As are the dark red and dark blue doors (the dark green door is still an 0.00 item) The wheel and tyre from the Jeep Wrangler seem to be for sale as well. Oh and although its not B&P, the powered up battery box (previously seen only in the canceled Osprey set) is now for sale as its own set. -
Would LEGO take a Pokemon license (if it became available) though?

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Looks like some of the new parts from the modular police station are now for sale including the telephone, typewriter, donuts, tan and grey inverted curved slope pieces, dark brown 1x4x3 window frame, dark brown 1x2x2 window frame, new police torso, sand green 1 x 4 plate, sand green brick with 2 vertical studs, sand green 1 x 10 plate, sand green 1 x 3 brick, dark tan bracket with 1 x 2 plate in the middle, dark tan 1x2-2x2 up bracket, white plate 1x2 with door rail and daily brick newspaper tile. Neither of the billboard tiles are available yet, nor is the police sign 1 x 4 tile. In the skate park set, all the minifig parts are available except the purple helmet+hair are available, as is the Vita Rush 1x1 round, 1x2 slope and flag and the wheelchair (but not the front or back wheels for it) In the town square set, the guide dog and harness are available but none of the new figure parts (including that neat blue high-vis torso that I would love to get a bunch more of) are available yet. In the shopping street set, the minifig parts are all available except the child head. All the food is available, as are the bike lane parts and the magenta bicycle. In the family house set, the dog is available, as is all the food and all the minifig parts except the orange torso and the brown hair. In the police boat, the printed control panel slopes are available, as is the shark but none of the new figure parts or accessories (including the cool yellow flippers) are available. For the Chinese garden set, the bunny, frog, bowl, spoon, printed trans-red head, red pumpkin, printed fish tiles, 1x1 round dumplings tile, the tan jacket torso and the blue jumper torso are available. In the other Chinese set, the cow horn is available, as is the red fence, trans-orange snowflake and all the minifig bits except the red jacket torso with the black neck area, the gold feather thing and the banana. In the flowers set, the dark green bush is available and that's about it as far as the good stuff goes. None of the interesting bits are available in the bonsai tree (I want that pink frog), roses or tulips. And if you like cats and dogs, everything in the cats and dogs BrickHeadz is available Note that these may be out of stock at the time you check so don't assume this list reflects "in stock", just "has a price" :) Oh and the dark red door from Diagon Alley is now available (although the dark green and cool yellow doors as well as the 2x2 corner brick in dark tan are still unfortunately not available, hopefully those other doors show up as I would love to snag some) -
I want to see a plane of the sort the Royal Flying Doctor Service might use as a medical plane. The last medical airplane we got https://brickset.com/sets/60116-1/Ambulance-Plane looks ugly with that twin tail design and https://brickset.com/sets/2064-1/Rescue-plane was AFAIK only available if you flew on certain airlines or something plus its really small. Its time for a new one that looks better IMO (although whether it should be 4 wide or 6 wide I am not sure, given how wide other aircraft in the LEGO world are maybe a 6 wide plane with a similar length to the one in last year's 4+ airport set could work)

I don't mind the new baseplates (bought the shopping street and the town centre) but I wont be using them in my city stuff since that's all done with baseplates (and needs to line up with other people also working on the same combined train display) I do wish they would make parts for that bike lane (the 2 x 4 with the bike print and the other dark azure tiles) more widely available so its easier to expand it without having to buy multiple copies of the shopping street. Also I don't think Vita Rush is meant to be an energy drink in the vein of Red Bull but instead more of a fruit juice blend or something else intended to be healthy or at least healthyish (hence the fruit in the logo) I don't think LEGO would want their City line to be associated with energy drinks given all the reports of how bad those things are for kids. EDIT: The official description for the skate park does call it a "soda" (so probably something similar to Fanta I guess)

I want to see more food places in LEGO City. In terms of food stands/trucks/outlets in LEGO City we have had pizza, bakery/donuts, hot dogs, coffee, burgers (although that one was on fire), ice cream, chicken drumsticks and I think popcorn in one promo set. (with pizza being probably the most common food). How about some more variety please? What about a Mexican place? Or Chinese? Or Barbecue? (with meat other than chicken and hot dogs) Or Fish & Chips? Or something healthy? (with the diet of the residents of LEGO City, no wonder they are so fat compared to their height :) A few such places have appeared elsewhere in themes like Ninjago (which got sushi and other seafood in some discontinued and now-expensive sets) but City seems to have no variety (mostly Pizza with Hot Dogs a close second)

Fans may want some things more than other things (i.e. Batman fans not wanting yet another Batmobile) but fans are only a part of the target audience of superhero sets. Oh and if how fast the AU$300 disappeared from the LEGO stores around me on release is any indication there are certainly plenty of fans who want vehicles. As for licenses LEGO should get, here are some things I can 100% guarantee you will never happen: 1.Any IP that is owned by a company that makes brick product (so anything owned by Mattel or Hasbro including the likes of GI Joe, M.A.S.K, My Little Pony, Transformers, Dungeons & Dragons, Magic The Gathering, He-Man and others) 2.Anything that is based on an existing toy or game (so things like Barbie, Hot Wheels, Rubix Cube, Monopoly, Battleship, Hero Quest, Warhammer and others) 3.Anything based on a movie that is rated R or higher in the USA 4.Anything based on a video game that is rated M or higher in the USA 5.Anything featuring alcohol in a modern context (including things like Moe's) or that feature tobacco or drugs. 6.Anything featuring modern war, modern soldiers or modern real-world weapons (including giving the LEGO City Police or criminals any kind of weapons). Even more so after what happened with the Technic Osprey. 7.Sets that feature actual gambling of any sort (the Vegas set clearly was a set that featured the buildings as pieces of architecture rather than places to gamble and it never included anything that was related to gambling in the set) 8.Sets that show criminals in LEGO city being violent or committing much in the way of crimes other than stealing stuff or breaking their mates out of jail. 9.Sets that show the "good guys" (cops, fire fighters, medical etc) in any kind of bad light or as anything other than fine upstanding citizens of LEGO city. and 10.Any real-world brands in themes like City and Friends unless its a specific promotional set such as the Toys R Us truck.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Still not enough parts available from my wish list for a B&P order to work for me. My local second hand parts supplier has finally re-opened (they have large bins full of mixed used LEGO and you go through the lot grabbing whatever you want then pay by weight) though so I was able to snag some awesome stuff including some parts that would otherwise have been hard to come by (and now they have a permanent retail location I can go there even more for parts :) -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
jonwil replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
That particular set is expensive mostly because of the large boat hull. -
I don't think they would do Elder Scrolls in any case, it wouldn't be popular enough I suspect.
-
Locke & Key would be a great thing to get, they could do what they did with Stranger Things and build the house as a set (with various rooms, the major characters and something to represent the different keys.
-
Its been a while since I played it but Elder Scrolls (at least the ones I played) have a few bits of content that may rule it out. Its got a bit of violence and its got some things that may be considered "religious" and "demonic/hell". I suspect the IP owners for Magic The Gathering and D&D probably wouldn't allow product that might compete with their own stuff. Does Mega still have the license for Pokemon? As for Dreamworks IPs, Madagascar would be nice to see.

I would rather see new animals that don't exist at all (such as a giraffe or a hippo or a male lion or a gorilla or a zebra) than new versions of animals we already have like the frog or snake or bat.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

I don't have the exact design number for that one part in the image but all the various lengths and colors of that part can be found here https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&catString=527 (you should be able to find design IDs and element IDs there as well for B&P searches) and they are most definitely flexible (I own a bunch of them myself and can confirm) -
I know Kreo had Star Trek at one point as well.
-
Its not actually a rail bus. Its a regular bus with regular wheels that drives on regular streets but that also can (via special guide wheels) drive on special concrete tracks.
-
If you want to talk about interesting or unusual public transport, there is always https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O-Bahn_Busway

Stargate? You mean that show where a bunch of elite special forces soldiers go to alien planets and use all kinds of high powered guns to shoot at people with snakes in their heads who used their power to become basically every god in the history of the planet? Like that would ever happen in LEGO... (yes that's an oversimplification but it illustrates the point of why Stargate fails the "brand fit" test in about a million different ways :) Last I heard the Star Trek rights were owned by someone else and even ignoring that LEGO isn't going to do Star Trek and have it go head to head against Star Wars.

If the Seinfeld set (when it eventually comes out) is anywhere near as good as the Big Bang Theory set was, count me in, I LOVE Seinfeld :) Another Friends-the-TV-show set on the other hand is good for my wallet since I can't stand that show :)

LEGO needs to stop tying into licenses that don't have long term proven success AND current active entries in the franchise where the evidence is that they will succeed. Trolls World Tour was a mistake (and I am sure the sets would have been just as much of a flop without Covid and the delays to the film's release) Licenses like Angry Birds and Prince of Persia were also mistakes, the video game series for both properties weren't exactly the most popular video games out there at that point in time and video game movies don't exactly have a reputation for increasing the popularity of the video game or any tie-in stuff. The Lone Ranger was another mistake (any popularity previous incarnations of the character may have had would have mostly faded by that point and there was nothing to indicate that the new movie was going to be popular enough to make the LEGO sets work) Themes like Indiana Jones and POTC at least made sense in that they had information from the already-released movies showing how popular they were and a new film to keep the series fresh in people's memory (although I don't think anyone could have predicted just how much of a flop Crystal Skull would end up being :)

Seinfeld is a while away yet. Blacksmith shop is comming out soon then Winnie the Pooh after that. Where did you hear the news about another Friends-the-TV-show set?

How many new animal molds did Friends get for their wildlife theme? I know they got 2 different elephants, a sloth and a panda and I think there was one more but I can't remember what it was. -
Given that they have just done a Castle themed set (in the form of the Blacksmith Shop) I bet they will reject all the other Castle stuff for a while (just like Barracuda Bay probably means no Pirates stuff)
