If you want the heli/limo set, just find someone from Australia willing to buy and send you one (with you paying them somehow of course)

I think a Circus theme would sell GREAT. Different sets with circus performers like a strongman, acrobat, ringmaster, trapeze artist, clown, band etc. Plus animals like elephants, lions, horses etc And of course things like a big top and maybe even a circus train. The downside is that many parts of the world are banning circus animals (and many animal welfare groups are fighting circuses with animals) so releasing a circus theme may not be the best idea...

You buy sets now even though you know they will be cheaper if you wait a while. You buy sets because they are cheap even though you never had any real interest in them. You buy a set because you think you might use the parts later (and then never do of course) You buy a set to get a few parts even though you could just buy the parts on Bricklink for cheaper (as was the case with my recent purchase of the truck garage)

I saw some copies of the City Bulldozer marked with "clearance" stickers with only a small useless discount. -
My guess is that the cost of such things as the monorail and the green underwater type dude meant that this was not a releasable theme (and so it morphed into the Aquazone we actually saw)

You procrastinate about cleaning up your apartment (including all the boxes/bags from sets you bought) because you want to build more LEGO. (even though your apartment is crawling with ants) You spend hours trying to figure out if its possible to make a LEGO MOC that can do a better job at keeping you cool than your crappy pedestal fan (because your apartment doesn't have air conditioning)

I wish this had come with the Ice Planet female instead of one of the others (even though I have at least 2 ice planet female figs already) Great to see the pigtails hair piece make a return (I wish it would make some appearances in newer sets too, its a great part)

I dont buy from overseas bricklink stores due to problems I have had in the past with PayPal.

Looks great, now you need a roadhouse/food section with tables and food. Don't forget steak and coffee (for some reason if you are a truck driver, you can get really cheap steak and coffee at roadhouses all along the Eyre Highway) And some parking for trucks. If it was stand-alone away from a town I would suggest motel accommodation and caravan parking spots but since its in a town, any accommodation would likely be elsewhere in the town. You do need some caravan parking spots though somewhere :) Having done the entire length of the road between Perth and Broken Hill (including the entire Eyre Highway across the Nullabor Plain) I have seen quite a few roadhouses (many of which are BP actually) :)

What is the best set source of minifigs that fit with City and that are wearing casual type clothes (the kind of thing one might wear to an amusement park or when riding the bus around). I know of Bricklink but finding a store with enough civilian figs is hard (and expensive). Star Wars wont help (since the figs there dont fit with City IMO) The only way I can see to get a decent selection of civilian figs is to buy multiple copies of various large expensive sets (like the new airport or the city corner)

The small windows are definatly 1 x 2 x 3 and not 1 x 2 x 2 As for the "new mould" for the 1 x 4 x 6, what do you mean by that? All of my 1 x 4 x 6 windows with the 2 cross bars are the same (the exception being the ones I have with fixed glass)

Perhaps the freight locomotive is one of the ones that has both a diesel electric generator and an electric pickup (so it can run in places diesels are banned for smoke/exhaust reasons)

I was playing around with some bley parts and came up with an idea for the ladder on a ladder truck. Take a http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4207 ladder (one or more pieces joined together depending on the length of the ladder you want) Then stick it on to a http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=42608 wheels holder. Stick the pins of the wheels holder into the top holes of a pair of http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=32530 Stick the technic bits onto the back of your truck

The max hair is different to the hair on the traveler and the small car guy.

Don't forget the pokie machines too, gotta have those (unless you happen to be claiming your pub is in a state where those arent legal)

In addition to LEGO, I collect DVDs and music. And kitchen gadgets (my George Foreman Grill was the best investment I ever made :)

It wouldn't surprise me if the TRU fan-choice set hasn't been shown off at any of the Toy Fair's because its a TRU exclusive. And because its an exclusive, neither TRU nor LEGO wants to talk about it yet. The house looks good though but bear in mind that its a preliminary image and may change for the release.

It wouldn't surprise me if Target gets the Imperial Flagship, they got the MMV last year plus they got the pirate sets first. -
The only issue with the red wheels is that you get the flanged drivers only and not the blind drivers (which are only known to exist in black)

I would have thought that the closest place to get exclusives would be the store at Legoland in Bilund.

Nice MOC. If I ever do an update to my crime lab, I will put one of these in :)
-
Nice job on the truck. I would suggest the 1 x 3 x 4 doors (like the car doors only taller) in yellow for the back doors but what you did looks good too.

The new fire product is not due for release in Australia until later in the year. If you want it now, you can order from Shop @ Home, order from www.bttw.com.au (which has it in stock, likely bought from overseas) or find someone in New Zealand who can get one for you. -
I seem to remember something about LEGO Trains being popular with retailers in the US (I could be wrong though)

You need a commodore sedan, a commodore UTE and a Colorado to make it look really good (the Rodeo is gone now). Although even the Colorado isn't very popular, most Holdens I see are Commodores or Commodore UTEs.
