Nice creation so far, I live the way you have done the shelves and things.

I used to have a set of scanned instructions to a technic model that was built from the contents of 3 different technic sets. All I can remember about it is that it was largely red, had lots of studded beams and plates and had some round headlamp tiles on the front. (oh and it was a car of some sort). Can anyone remember this old modem and does anyone have the instructions to it?

If the rest of the City stuff (fire station etc) would hurry up and get here that would be nice :)

ok, so printing white ink on a see-through sticker requires expensive equipment I am unlikely to have access to? Damn, there goes that idea :(

Any indications in the catalog as to when the rest of the City stuff is due to come out (the fire station in particular but also the other fire sets)

I would like to see the new 1 x 1 round tile in brown (it would go great with the Gavel in giving the judge something to bang it on :)

Can anyone advise on the best sticker paper I can use for making custom stickers? Is there a product out there that is similar to the transparent stickers LEGO produces? Is there a way to print white on transparent stickers using an inkjet printer? (Canon Pixma MP510)

Great review. I recon this fire truck is the best fire truck LEGO have ever made. Great parts selection (flat windscreen, tilt roller doors for the sides, new ladder piece, detailing pieces etc) and great design.

I would love to see the new 4 x 4 round plate with hole in the middle in more colors. Black, Blue, Green, Red, Yellow and maybe others. Maybe even more transparent colors beyond just the trans-clear and trans-red...

Yeah, I am waiting on Creator, the rest of the City Police and Fire stuff and the Ninja Turtles stuff. mrtoys website has a category entry for Ninja Turtles but no items.

Not sure you can count anything from the Spider-Man or X-Men sets as those are specifically specified by TLG to be cartoon/comic based and not movie based (since TLG has no license for the X-Men or Spiderman movies) Not sure any of the DC Super Heroes figs count either since they aren't specified as being movie figs, just comic book figs.

For those interested, Big W in Mirrabooka has now stocked with 2013 (same stuff as MYER basically). Only thing I didn't notice is Series 9 (they did have a few boxes of Series 4 though)

How were you able to get part numbers for these new parts?

Bought the new fire truck yesterday and I recon its the best fire truck LEGO have ever made. (certainly in the City era anyway)

Can you use this multiple times (i.e. buy 2 toys then buy 2 more then buy 2 more)? If so, it would be a great time to stock up on Series 9 :)

MYER in Karrinyup and MYER in Perth both have restocked now with 2013 product (Friends, Chima, City, the blue and pink suitcase sets, NinjaGo, Series 9 etc) Perth had a bunch of carts sitting there with LEGO on them ready to go on the shelves and about a dozen boxes of Series 9. Still need release dates for Creator, the rest of the City stuff (e.g. fire station, high speed chase), and Ninja Turtles :)

Normally I dont like SUVs much but A.This is a VERY cool model and B.Unlike many real-world SUV drivers, you actually depicted your MOC being used off the black stuff (which is the whole point of something like a LandCruiser :)

As a longtime RCT fan I love what you have done so far. I hope to see more of your stuff especially the rides and stuff. The "Collectable Minifigures" series has given us a bunch of figures that might work for the entertainers (gorilla guy, chicken guy, dinosaur guy etc)

My next plan is to acquire the new fire truck and fire station and build some fire truck MOCs with the parts. I also plan to continue to expand my collection of LEGO maps and get closer to having every LEGO map ever made. And I will no doubt spend lots of money on Series 9, Series 10 and Series 11. (already got one plumber, one cop, one judge and one waiter and want more of all 4 plus some others like the roller skate girl) I will also be thanking LEGO for not releasing as many good sets in 2013 (most Creator sets, some of the City stuff, Galaxy Squad, Hero Factory, Chima, Ninjago, Starwars and others) to save my poor pocketbook after the awesome stuff of the last few years (like Monster Fighters, Alien Conquest etc)

I envy all you lucky people in the eastern states finding all sorts of 2013 product on the shelves (Friends, City etc). Here in WA the shelves of all the retailers I have been to since returning from QLD are as good as empty.

Great little MOC and great tribute to the brave fire fighters all around this country who fight the good fight and do everything in their power to save lives and property. As soon as I get my hands on the new 2013 fire truck (and maybe the fire station if I can justify spending the money on it) I am going to build some MOC fire trucks. :)

This is awesome. And the fact that it runs Linux is amazing. I will be watching to see just how much of the platform LEGO makes available as Open Source and what sort of cool things people do with that platform. And I will be especially watching to make sure they comply with the license obligations of any third party open source software they use like the Linux Kernel (companies not following the license for open source software is something that REALLY gets me mad and I can say now that if LEGO doesn't comply, I will never buy another LEGO product again)

Will be checking MYER tomorrow to see if the new City stuff (fire truck in particular) has made it west yet, I want the fire truck so I can start on my next MOC project :) (I need the fire station as well but that doesn't seem to have even reached Oz yet)
