  1. I just bag built the new 31000 Creator sports car set (didn't take a photo though). I would have done the 31001 Creator jet airplane but it had loose parts so it cant be done.
  2. It looks like there is a new lower part in orange underneath the white nose piece, lets hope that piece comes in other colors too (white would be nice)
  3. I think the new front end piece looks good, I think it will work better for helicopters than the airplane part used on various helicopters in the past (e.g. it was used on the helicopter in last years medical center set)
  4. yes I mean Brickset.
  5. Analysis of the Bricklink database (which is pulled from the LEGO database) shows that the sets do include the same part (or at least LEGO considers them the same part) Which is good enough for me and means I dont need to buy the Helicopter Arrest or Museum Break-In just to get the torso and legs (as I already own a Forest Police Station)
  6. Can anyone confirm if the torso and legs on the police helicopter pilot in the Museum and Helicopter Arrest sets is the same torso and legs as on the police helicopter pilot in last years forest police station?
  7. Yes, we have a fairly large number of Renaults (both rigid and articulated) in Perth :)
  8. I am attempting to replicate the windscreen on the bus in this picture http://www.perthbus.info/quickimage.php?image=132697F20C69 (wont let me embed it into the post for some reason) but I cant figure out what parts I could use to get both the angle of the main piece of glass and the little triangle pieces of glass (there is a matching one on the other side) Any advice on what parts to use would be great. I am building in trans-clear and in 8-wide with probably 3 bricks high for the windscreen area give or take a plate or 2
  9. Where did you get the sausages in that color? I know of red and black but not whatever color that is (looks like Tan to me but I could be wrong)
  10. This IS awesome, great use of parts and great idea for the ants.
  11. I don't think this fire truck is meant to look like any specific real-world fire truck, it probably includes design elements from any number of real world (especially European) fire trucks.
  12. I have witnessed any number of cheese slopes (especially in dk bley) that have cracked just by being in my long-term-built-and-intended-for-shows models.
  13. I cant speak for TLG but I have noticed that the rubbery plastic is often used these days for parts that would otherwise have sharp points or small parts that could snap off if molded in hard ABS. In fact, I have heard this articulated by others in relation to things like swords, spears, tridents and other "pointy" minifig accessories.
  14. I own the yellow RCX (was a gift many years ago but I did have it on my list) but because I have been unable to find a way to make it (the USB IR tower and the programming software) work with Windows 7 x64 I can't make MOCs with it at this point. Would I buy the new EV3 if I had the money? Most definitely providing LEGO complies in full with the license for any software they include with the device including the Linux kernel. (the idea of a Linux-capable computing device that is compatible with LEGO bricks and creations is VERY much something I like the sound of) . But I don't have the money to buy it (or the NXT).
  15. Has anyone spotted the new fire station yet?
  16. I think the Horizon Express is currently a Shop @ Home exclusive but (if past form is any indication) could well show up at retail sometime in the mid-year sales (if it appears it would likely be exclusive to someone but there is no way to know who) If we see it at retail before then I will be highly surprised.
  17. What about http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb122 That appears in Light Flesh (although only in a single Spiderman set)
  18. btw, I disagree that the 8253 is crap, I own both it and the matching green bike (never could get hold of the blue & white cop car, both the set and parts are on my BL wishlist in case they show up) and think both sets are quite fun (the mix-and-match with the connectors is cool)
  19. The 8466 4x4 off-roader is great and I wish I had more of (and more variety of) the metallic green parts. One of these days I want to build a Ute using the metallic green parts for the body, black for the chassis and the flat-silver wheels from the 8448 Super Street Sensation as the wheels. (and probably the suspension system from the 8466 or the 8448) But I lack the metallic green :)
  20. The Orc Forge is a Big W exclusive and the Barrel Escape is a Toys R Us exclusive.
  21. No February releases at Belmont Forum (either K-Mart or Big W). Plenty of stock at Big W of their sale items (police chase, museum break-in etc) though. All I need now is for a store to have both stock of the 2 fire sets I want (4208 4 x 4 fire truck and 60004 Fire Station) and a nice %off sale at the same time and I will have all the stuff I need to be able to start work on my fire truck MOCs :)
  22. Anyone spotted the 2 small Creator sets (in the plastic containers) yet? Or the new Fire Station? Or any good deals on last years forest fire 4 x 4 fire truck?
  23. Bought the rest of my S9 figs at the MYER 3-for-2 sale. Was able to buy 9 for $30 (good deal that)
  24. You can get white CMF bases (with printing though) from the UK-only Olympic special CMFs.
  25. DLuders and Meisseli, thanks, that's the one.
