  1. Very cool. Really like the "outpost" pose. Very original build.
  2. This thread is wonderful. just looking to finished MOCs helps to learn, but having you guys share your process and all these WIP photos is awesome and a great opportunity for us newbies. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Great tower. Love the texture of it, and all the landscape details that you have been able to fit in a base of this size. Awesome !
  4. Love the colors and the round ends! Nice building.
  5. Great vig. The curved wall looks fantastic!
  6. The tower is beautiful, and I really dig the water and the smoke. Great display!
  7. Really like the general look of the scene (plateau, posing, rocks) but my favorite thing is the vegetation use , that really stands out. Nice MOC!
  8. Thanks! Thank you. I'm finding that posing dwarfs (most of my sets come from the hobbit line , so I have a good number of them ) to get a "dynamic" look is quite difficult because of the fixed legs, but in this case, being able to use the cauldron as an anchor ended with a better result than I initially expected.
  9. I haven't seen a final date, but even if it is finished, I think I would use the list of categories as inspiration!
  10. Thanks everybody for your comments. Glad you liked it (If you cannot impress them with your techniques, at least make them laugh ) Thanks. It is the only part in the display that it was not straightforward to build (for me), and took some attempts to get a (more or less) natural aspect., BTW, the (admittedly fragile) tree broke a couple of times during the build, when trying to adjust the leaves. Does anyone have any advice to avoid this problem? Thank you for your advice, specially for pointing the areas in need of improvement. I'm here to learn, and this is very helpful. My next build (already in progress) is more focused (although I'll still put some dwarves here and there to spice the scene ), and has a couple of more complex (for my beginner level) techniques that I hope will give it a more "finished" look Regards, D.
  11. Awesome!! The full display is even better than the sum of the (already incredible) different parts.
  12. Just the post subject made me laugh, and when I saw the last image...
  13. Store Phase I: Market Fire Regards, D.
  14. Back with another AoM MOC. Another "everyday life" scene, this time for the phase I of the Store subcategory. Market day in the Blackbear clan lands is never peaceful. The market guards always have something to do, and if the lampmaker has the "good" idea of burning the lamps so the customers can appreciate his craftmanship...well, another day in the market Hope you like it. C&C are (as always) welcome. Regards, D.
  15. Very dynamic & chaotic battle (as battles should be ), and the irregular terrain brings it to life. Great build!
