Anyone know if this set is rare?I
Master_Data replied to Trainmaster247's topic in Special LEGO Themes
People charge ridiculous prices on Ebay. Not the best way to approximate the actual value. -
Question regarding toys-to-life games: do the RFID chips unlock content stored on the game disc or does the chip contain the information which the game accesses? If it's the former, we probably won't see anymore Ideas sets in Dimensions as they would have to have programed them in now.

Star Wars Constraction 2015 Discussion
Master_Data replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action Figures
When I first saw Luke, my first thought was "Galidor!" However, Obi Wan and Grievous look incredible, so much so that they might pull me out of my Constraction Dark Age! My wallet's really not going to be happy... -
I wish it could be- it's quite cool! Can't wait to see the final figure!
-
Not going to happen. Portal is more likely than those two, and I doubt that even that will make it (I don't think that's Chell in the picture).
-
I just pulled out my red trike. Its been at the bottom of my tub for a while- I never realized that it could be used in so many different ways! I guess that's LEGO!

Shooting and Non-Shooting Cannons...What you Have!?
Master_Data replied to VintageLegoEra's topic in LEGO Pirates
I don't own any ships, but cannons from some of the other Pirates sets I own are non-shooters. -
Nice work! The Captainess looks like a render as blasters haven't been produced in that color and Medusa's faceprint iss exclusive to her green face. However, don't let that disqualify the rest of your outstanding entry!

Good point. Maybe the vertical lines represent release dates? 1-7 and 19-33 would come with the initial launch and the other 3 groups would be released incrementally thereafter.

I've bolded the ones which have been officially confirmed. For some reason, the lists I've seen so far have completely ignored Bad Cop. 1. Marty Mcfly 2. Homer 3. Scarecrow (Wizard of Oz)? 4. ? 5. Wicked Witch 6. Scooby 7. Shaggy 8. ? 9. Kai 10. Cole No 11 for some reason 12. Ghostbuster 13. Joker 14. Harley 15. ? 16. Superman 17. Aquaman 18. Tin Man 19. Wonder Woman 20. Cyborg 21. Bart 22. Emmet 23. Bad Cop 24. Benny 25. Jay 26. Nya 27. Zane 28. Gollum 29. Legolas 30. Gimli 31. ? 32. Laval 33. Cragger 34. Krusty 35. Unikitty 36. Eris 37. Unknown licensed character 38. ? 39. ? 40. ? 41. Unknown shorter character 42. Lloyd Just 25 unknowns. Could we also be getting Doc Brown and Sensei Wu (which would explain the two unknown white silhouettes)? I could definitely imagine Scooby and Shaggy in a team pack, while Laval and Cragger and Joker and Harley would be logical to round out our selection. I'm still unsure as to which of the remaining figures might give us a level pack. Any thoughts?

So cute! I love it! Nice job!

Nice work! How long did it take you to build this?
-
Not sure how many of you know about this, but Christian Faber has posted some G1 concept art on his blog, Faber Files! This is just a taste of what is to come, as he apparently has a treasure trove of concept art from his days at Advance. Check it out!

Completely agree there. The 1HY sets will be off the shelves where I live once the 2HY sets are released, so kids and new FOLs who missed those sets will have an opportunity to get those figures. If you don't like the set because it contains a figure you already have, pick up the set and sell the figures. I'm sure there's someone out there who just wants the figs, so this way you both win.

I don't think I've seen a single entry for CAT B yet. Has anyone entered?
-
I'm pretty sure he's the last character on the bottom right. No idea why everyone thinks that's a Slimer when the character shown is bright green and has the same stance on the packaging as Kai.
-
Not sure about the lines. I don't think they grouped them by the type of pack they come in because Kai and Cole are bunched together with a third minifigure when they are really a team pack. They also aren't grouped by release date or license, so maybe they are grouped based on unlockable bonuses?
-
Based on just2good's list and some of my own deductions, here's an easy-to-read list starting from the first row of that image: Marty Mcfly Homer ? The Scarecrow? Wicked Witch Scooby Shaggy Scratchy? Kai Cole ? Joker Harley? ? Superman Aquaman Tin Man? Wonder Woman Cyborg Bart Emmet Bad Cop Benny Jay Nya Zane Gollum Legolas Gimli ? Laval Cragger Krusty Unikitty Eris ? ? Johnny Thunder? Skylor (unlikely)? ? Lloyd? I'm not sure about the ones in bold.

WB probably extended the license just to get a share in the toys-to-life industry, but the original license would have expired sometime this year. Alternatively, LEGO could have bought the toys-to-life license and let the building toy license expire. You're right, but LEGO could have recycled the plastic from the minifigures instead of releasing them. I think LEGO wanted to include popular characters, and having extra Gandalfs in the factories could have contributed to why they picked Gandalf over any other popular character.
-
That might be a factor, but Gandalf is also immensely popular now. Also, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, and Gollum haven't been in production since 2013. I'd think they would have gotten rid of them by now. With or without the Riddler's chair?
-
LEGO Dimensions is going to mess up any licensed series for a little while. Why get the license for a CMF when LEGO could sell the same figures as part of a video game which would capture children's attention for longer?
-
They could be in-game power ups and not actual characters. I think TT would handle Bionicle and Minifigure sized characters horribly.
