  1. "The Shadeaux funded my last quest." When Nur asked about some specialised training, Warlen leaned in closer. "Between you and me, I'd rather be an Evoker, Sorceror or Sage looks to be much more fun." He looked up to Germ and Vindsval. "How about you two? Any future job prospects you have in mind?"
  2. "Yep, said Warlen, "My collection would go from Nil to Mil (ions)."
  3. Warlen stared at the card. "Well, from what I've heard, in the fields of glory, there is a machine that can turn enemies into decamon cards!"
  4. "Well, I'm in it for the prizes..." Warlen said confidentially. "A WP 50 pitchfork, a medal for more glory than most heroes ever, and have you ever heard of Decamon?"
  5. Warlen grinned. "Maybe a piece of lint blowing in the wind? Lind...?"
  6. Warlen grinned at Vindsval. "Dont worry, I got some Z-Mails from some willing heros." He grinned. I can't wa to meet this "Lind Whisperer"."
  7. Warlen stares at the Quest board. "What? I thought I crossed out my name for that Quest!" As the others state at him, he murmured "Stay here..." As he caught up to the odd man, he said "Choose another Hero. I meant to remove my name." With that, he returned to his friends. Ooc: I remember typing my cancel, but I must not have posted. Sorry for any inconvenience.
  8. Oooops... in my defence, I was trying to find it in an iPod while busy doing some other stuff... (Watching The Simpsons and folding washing. Il one question... Define keep... Like, for the match or more permanently?
  9. "I can be half pure funny if one of my parents were truly pure funny... which, I must admit, they were not. Probably."
  10. I tried finding the instructions, but I can't seem to find them. Or are they just... trinkets?
  11. As a newbie (Conspirital wink), what is a Decamon?
  12. Warlen racked his brain. "Hold on... Lemme think." A grin spread across his face. "Oh yeah. He wanted any Non-Human, excluding Elves and Half elves, to be frozen in a block of ice while being burned from the inside out, if they came within the Inn. Heh. Within the Inn." "That was the other reason we refused to do it," said Quarion. "We needed money, but we weren't murderders... despite both of our historys."
  13. Warlen looked at Germ, then Nur, and said: "Well, I'm in the middle of a talk, but you can join us! I was just going to tell Nur another story. Enjoy the ride, I'll introduce myself after." "One time, we had to stay at an Inn for the night, as we journeyed to find a cure to my... condition, we met an unfriendly barman with disgusting stew." Warlen shivered. "After pacifying him, he agreed to let us stay if we would cast a spell to protect his Inn from a group marauding Orcs, Goblins and Giants." Warlen Grimaced at the giant. "No enemity harboured towards ya. Well, he charged us 30 gold for the night, and let's just say that he probably regretted charging us so much. In fact, he lost his spell." As as the story set in, Warlen Introduced himself. "Warlen Melimane, Half-Elf, Half-Human, Half-Pure Funny. Oh wait, that's too many halves!" He grinned. "This here skull is Quarion, AKA Q, by longtime companion and ridiculously smart dude." "Hell-lo," murmured Quarion. Warlen Quarion
  14. As he floated away, Quarion said: "No, it's not closed."
  15. *Some of these look great, (The 2 smallest), some look Just Above Average, (Ship), and some look like they need a Redesign. *Being a castle fan, the biggest and smallest sets fit in with it. However, the 2 smallest are musts. *I can't wai see Treasure Island. *The bandanas don't look that bad.
  16. Quarion floats over, leaving Warlen to talk with Nur. "Hey, mate, that quest is closed. You can't sign up for it!"
  17. "Not as bad as you might expect. Most of the oldies... put up with me, and the young elves liked me. The Archmage at that time really took care of me as well. There was one Father-Son pair who hated me." Warlen grinned mischievously. "I left them a little... present, when I left." Quarion spoke up. "Yep. I doubt the 'Ghost' made them like you any more."
  18. Warlen responded, "Sure, go right ahead. Now, before this, I want to explain our childhoods to you. It will make more sense if the story's clearer." He winked. "Quarion? You first." Quarion sighed sadly. "I raised myself, parentless, on the streets of Drandora port. I had a girlfriend, a feisty young girl with flaming orange hair, but she was killed by the blade of a sailor she tried to pickpocket. That, my friend, is how I started to go on adventures. Eventually, that is how I ended up meeting Warlen. All I have left of her is this..." Quarion starts to hum, then begins singing in a low voice. "The lovers met on battlefield, To enemy neither would yield, They fought for right, Continued till night, And then united to stop the blight. When time had come, And they had Won, They kissed and wept, And then they slept, But never, ever did they forget." As the silence set in, the hall armed to go quiet for Quarion. He was barely aware of Warlen telling his take, as he drifted of into his memory. "Well, I never met my Mother and Father. Seeing as how I'm a half elf, I never got to meet mum. As for dad, he died in the second quest of... no, Battle of the final tower. Long story short, my dad was a powerful general, and his dying wish was that I should become an Archmage. After much deliberation, I went to live with the Elven Mages. Before I could finish training, along comes Quarion, long travels, lotsa fun, and now? Here in the heroica, several new friends, including a new..." he grinned. " Inner Circle." His smile lessened, but didn't disappear. "So, now you know our... orgins, as it were. Any comments before we move on?"
  19. Warlen grimaced. "Well, you may have noticed my natural sense of humour. Alas, it is but a... fácade, that I use to hold back the dark. I have looked into some cures, but that would require a few more story's... unless you have the time?"
  20. "Not quite a dark Druid...anyway, I'll let Quarion explain. You're probably tired of my voice." Before he could be interrupted, Quarion launched into the story. "Long ago, and by long I mean 3 years ago, Warlen was still living with his kind, and I was still... living. I was a rouge, who had come to the kingdom of the elves to help them defeat a dragon, by the name of Nebulae. I was bored for the first few days, so I wandered the forest, and it was by the river Darguill that I met Warlen Melimane. He was practicing his forest Magic, and we soon became friends. On the day when I was deemed to fight Nebulae, the great dragon burned me with dark flame from the pits of hell, scarring me and setting in motion events that no Elven cleric could heal without corrupting themselves. And so up came Warlen, a young Elven mage back then, and he cast a spell that meant I would live... with both reward and price. The reward? I was alive, and without my body, my mind could think freely, therefore allowing me to be amazingly intelligent. The Price? I was reduced to a floating, flaming head, and stripped of my Rougish powers. But Warlen paid a far worse price. The darkness corrupted him and his staff, so that now he is a practitioner of dark Magyk, against his will. Ever since, him and I have traveled the land, looking for a cure to my bodylessness, and the corruption of his soul. " As Quarion concluded, Warlen snapped to attention. "There's more story before and after, but I don't want to force it on you." He winked. And Quarion said: "Yep, some Fan-Tastic battles we've had before Heroica.
  21. "Well, there was a lot of stunning involved. My fellow mage Sirecon got a hood, and, i got a staff. I've still got it." In reply tme his statement about Druids; "Not necessarily. Druids are just wizards that are skilled in forest Magic and healing. In fact, what with my... curse, u could become an evil Druid myself one day." Warlen grinned evilly. "So, how did you meet Alf?"
  22. "Mischief, huh?" Warlen grinned. "Murder, Dark Druids, Dragoons, Dragons, and an enemy I thougt was an ally. Actually, the Enem-Ally was the cause of a rift in the party." Warlen grimaced. "I hate assassins now." He grinned again. "Still, from the reward, and selling a spare sword, I got some huge amounts of loot. Which is now mostly spent."
  23. Warlen grimaced. "Yep. I wonder what happened to the arena." In response to Nurs query about Quarion, he replied "Oh, let me wake him up." Warlen then proceeded to poke Quarion with his staff. Quarion burst back into flames as he awakened. "En Sabah Nur. Good to see you." "So, Nur, how you been?" asked Warlen. "Any interesting Quests?"
  24. Warlen grinned broadly. "Nur!" "I haven't seen you since I first came to the hall!" Warlen said.
  25. Looking up, Warlen noticed some other heroes enter the hall. As he sat there eating his meal, he wished he could be on a quest again, or at least have someone to talk to, seeing as Quariom had gone to sleep.
