  1. Nice work, the tiles work well for slick mud. Nice work for the background as well; +1 UoP DoH for all claims
  2. Nice, I'm particularly fond of the dragon's head and wings, and great job with the standard in the background
  3. Great work, the irregularly shaped base is a very good detail, and the rock formation also turned out excellent. Nice figs too
  4. Nice work, I like the texturing on the tower and the (lime green!) Tudor-style sections. Also, I'm quite pleased with the shadow effect taking the pictures in the sun had, though one minifig's head is a little obscured. +1 UoP DoH for all claims
  5. [The Curate pauses for a while, observing the rancorous new arrivals. He then turns back to the red robed priest] Curate Henri Qaemil: "As for the Living Gods, there are entire annals filled with the history of their regimes," [The Curate lapses out of his archaic dialect as he warms up to his company] "A couple centuries ago in the secluded Chimeti archipelago, the cornerstone of my great religion, the people established a new government, the Orieqa Concordat, which was a secular government. My sect did not take kindly to its sudden ostracism, and it turned to a coalition of its staunchest followers, the powerful mages Qaemil-Dres, Almec-Ulath, Amur-Daguith, and Oresi Bal. These mages were deified as living gods, and the Primate Hlaesius Quiniant II subordinated the Sultan and established the Living Gods as the rulers of the land. Before long, the Living Gods proved to be absolutist despots, but were nonetheless ingrained in church ideology. The populace, under the leadership of the new Primate Hlaemon I, led a rebellion that displaced the Living Gods and their loyalists. The Orieqa Concordat was then amended to make it more agreeable to the Ormai, with the Primate gaining powers over the Sultan. Their regime only lasted for a century, but it became part of our sect, and the Living Gods' alienation made many of our followers commit apostasy and follow Qaemil-Dres, the only Living God who was able to resist. We eventually recovered, but lost our influence in northern Kaliphlin, Avalonia, and Varlyrio," Curate Henri Qaemil: "On another note, it seems strange that the Living Gods were powerful mages and usurped power similarly to the fanatics you spoke of. Perhaps they were joint factions in a common union?"
  6. This is a great idea, though I think I'm partial to Kayne's version
  7. [The Curate listens attentively to the priest. I suppose not all religions are so dour and ritualistic as the Ormai) Curate: "I art a servant of the Ormaic Gods, comprising the deities Ormaian, Tsaulkoth, and Rhamul. Our sphere of influence is largely in the Spice Islands of Kaliphlin, and the southern regions of the Siccus Badlands. I am also charged with resurrecting our crippled sect, similar to your situation as my religion lost considerable power with the overthrow of our Living Gods, which was quite a heretical, destructive, and sanguinary affair. We still however, influence many of the politics and government of the minor nations and colonies dotting the southern spice islands. On another note, I did not catch thy name. I art Henri Qaemil, the Curate of Na Ghiian,"
  8. Nice work so far Bregir. The docks are a little conform however (perhaps some discoloration, rocks, or erosional texture variations may help)
  9. [The Curate notices the priest enter the room. He contemplates the priest's surprising order of wine, knowing alcoholic victuals are generally abhorred by the clergy. He walks over to the priest] Curate: "Greetings sir. What sect art thou inclusive in?"
  10. Nice work, I like the towers. However, I agree with lego that the rockwork is too smooth, and blends in too much with the fort
  11. Great scene, the yellow brick road is very well executed. The people in the portrait look quite sinister...
  12. Nice curtains, and I like your representation of the Continental Congress
  13. [The Curate looks up from his readings to regard the new company. He studies a man garbed in a wide-brimmed hat. A soldier of fortune perhaps? He also notes a large group of people whose voices are heavily accentuated in the Nestlandic dialect.]
  14. I'm waiting for a few bricklink orders, then I'm going to aim to construct a moc for SG, along with some freebuilds
  15. I'll see about getting at least one entry submitted prior to the deadline
  16. Nice vignettes, I like your interpretation of Master Gabbold
  17. Also Classic Castle has some good landscaping how-to's (forgot to link them in the last post)
  18. Nice use of those arches
  19. Have you seen Derfel Cadarn's guide yet? It has some nice tips for landscaping
  20. Nice little wagon. As for photography however, you should look into a background and better lighting (less shadows). A good start however
  21. Post them as a new topic on the GoH subforum
  22. Deconstructing...sorting....waiting for bricklink orders

  23. Nice, I like the fig combination for the mountain orc. Excellent work with the dragon as well, particularly with the tail's end and the claws
  24. Great work, the snotted carpets and floors are superb, as is the channel of lava that encircles the throne's dais. Excellent job as usual
  25. Superb introductory moc. The stone chimney in the back is great, as is the spine tree. Great texturing on the house as well.
