Man Batbrick, this really is a stunning MOC! This really is neat, the exterior front view is just superb. The greys and black mix nicely to create an old, dark temple look. The foliage is wonderful, and all the skulls in the windows is a very evil, very awesome addition. The stairs with the plants running up them are really cool too, they just look great. The statue carved into the rock is quite grim and creepy too, another great touch, I love the red eyes. The layered style of the roof fits in well and looks great, and the use of those 3 leaf plant thingies for vines are great as well, I've seen it used in other MOCs too and it's quite a clever technique. Good to see the torches too, I love old styled MOCs with torches in them. I've added a bunch of torches to my Castles display, in fact. The Islander shields fit in wonderfully as well. The fertility idol comment made me laugh out loud, for real. The treasure hidden behind the trees and spikes coming out of the stairs are more great touches that really add coolness to the set. The treasure hidden under the building is cool, the grey leaves are perfect under there, starved of sunlight and withered to a dull bley colour. The added building temple thing on the roof looks great, much better than if the roof were to end in a point, wicked cool statue thing, with the colours hinting to what the interior holds. Speaking of the interior, we now move on... This is really wonderful. The mix of tans for the tiled floor looks really darn fantastic! The gold and dark red look wonderful together inside the temple, a great burst of colour compared to the exterior. I like the foliage inside, it gives a look of overgrown-ness and age to the temple. The center-piece is nice, the fertility idol fits in wonderfully. The thrones and the crystal and cup details really add with the gold/red colours, it all looks wonderful! There are only so many good words one can use, and I think I've now overused wonderful, superb, fantastic and great, so in conclusion, this is a really terrific, sensational, splendid, glorious MOC! Peace ~iamded

Hm. Okay then, how about: Can anyone tell me how to take good close-up photos? I would like to make good Avatars in future, but, as you can see, these are lacking in detail and clarity. Can anyone help me, without the use of Photoshop? ~Peace

Hmm. Well, Tagi seems more fun and cartoony, however, I like the more realistic and interesting side of Pagong, so they get my vote again. ~Peace

Well, I decided (after a potent amount of pestering from our resident Bat) to go and make some Indy avatars. Feel free to use them, though I don't see why you would seeing as they feature my sig-fig. Anywho, as a sort of 'here we are, in your face' gesture to Batbrick, I not only made one, but I made 5, with their own topic. Here they are: I know they're quite dull and small, but I had to resize them, and Microsoft Paint doesn't offer any tools to brighten the image. Anyway, feedback is appreciated. Peace ~iamded

Who is responsible for the renaissance of Fabuland?

Darn you, Hincknley! ~Peace -
Congratulations! I know what a challenge sorting can be. This is definately a big achievement. I have trouble sorting all my Lego, and that's only into colour. Really, great job, and what a collection you have! By the way, where'd you get those storage drawers? I can't seem to find any here. ~Peace

Hinckley is Lord Savril!! Oh, that's old news. My mistake. Anwho, who's this Damien person? Why do we think he's guilty again? How do we know he's the herbalist? I'm so confused. I blame the wizard. Oh, I see. Damien is the doc. Who is gone. Well, that's no good. Who's going to perform the autopsy? Well, I would vote Damien, but I promised not to vote on anyone unless I was sure they were traitors. He could have been a traitor who fled in terror, or he could have freaked out when he saw the King with no flesh or skin on his face. Well, I guess time will tell.

Great MOC Batbrick! Does this mean Johnny Thunder's pregnant now? I'll leave a more detailed comment later, I gotta go now! ~Peace

A fedora? Is that a special Indy Month penguin then? Just wanted to get that outta the way. Great review, Batbrick!! This set is a lot better than I originally thought, the sub is quite roomy (when modded), and a lot larger than the Bat-cave one, which is great. Robins sub is fantastic, with a perfect colour scheme. An easy way to get these two great minifigs as well. Thanks again for the great review, it certainly swayed my opinion on this set! Still a bit overpriced for me though, and I spent the last of my money on castle sets, without realising I have no way of getting any back. Back to mowing lawns I guess. ~Peace

No, a kid didn't write the stories, jsut someone who had in mind that the stories were for kids. I actually enjoyed them, good to have some explanations, makes me want to get an army of Troll Attackships. I particularly liked the story of the Troll Assault Wagons. Oh, and they've yet to add scimitars (Troll swords) and clubs to the weapons list... ~Peace

Hm, revealing our positions could greatly help in finding the killer, then again it could lead to a lot of wrongful accusations.Once we all know who's who, not only will it help us find the killer, it will also give the traitors knowledge of who's who, which we really don't need. I don't want to be part of a group that convicts an innocent (like back in Rome... ) so I'll try not to vote until I'm sure of it.

I just stick to my Castle display, which currently only consists of sets and a few MOCs, however in future I wish to build scenery out of Lego as opposed to the top of the table. However if I were to build a MOC display thing, it would have to be post-post Apoc themed. Hmm, maybe I'll expand on that when the fantasy Castle theme finishes. ~Peace

Hi, I'm Hinckley. I seem to have been bumped on the head or something... wait. What? Oh, I'm dead. iamded. Oh, okay then. Oh woe, our poor king is dead! And we have not a clue as to how this happened! maybe that wizard could help us discern the cause of the king's death, so as to give us more of a hint as to who killed him. Wizard! Wake up! Can you help us find out how the king died?

What is the weirdest place you build lego?
iamded replied to THE-FORCE's topic in General LEGO Discussion
On long trips home after going away for a weekend, in the car. Bad idea, as usually you find a piece or two to go missing. Damn all the little places in a car where Lego can hide. ~Peace They shoved you where?! Someone's got to sig that! ~Peace -
Ooh, more reviews! I'm there! Yep, the '08 sets are certainly fantastic (especially the Castle line ). ~Peace

Well, I saw a Skeleton Tower set sell for $20 down from the retail price of $80.00. I should have bidded on it. ~Peace

One of the stands on my keyboard snapped off long ago, and recently I built a little replacement with bricks lying around (a 2x2 brick, 1x2 plate and this piece: ). It works perfectly too, right height and everything! ~Peace

Indeed, I'm sure glad you're back! You've got a lot of stuff to catch up on, go check out the Agents set reviews and Batbrick's Interactive Apocalypse! Really, it's great to have you back. What would the Whacker and the Walrus be without you?! ~Peace

Very cool, Matn! Good to see you aren't mixing yellow with flesh. Lookin' forward to seeing what comes next. ~Peace

Who is responsible for the renaissance of Fabuland?
iamded replied to Siegfried's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Disco inferno! <Ahem> Well, I first saw Fabuland when I saw Sinner's avatar, which made me think, "What the heck is that??" I then found out about Fabuland. Then I saw Hinckley's Fabuland Housewives, and now he's hot all those MOCs. Well, Sinner had the avatar, but Hinckley kicked it in motion with all his other Fabuland stuff. So, vote: Hinckley. Man I miss Roman Mafia. ~Peace -
Very cool, TinyPiesRUs! The minifigs are perfect, the Conquistadores look great, and those Aztecs are awesome, the monkey shield fits perfectly and the plant on the Aztec warrior's back is a great addition. The temple itself is neat, very Aztec looking, the golden statue is indeed neat and would be great for parts, as well as those wall pieces with the Aztec stickers. The only thing IO find a bit strange is the sticker on the inside of the temple, where the gold is. Any particular reason it's on sideways? Anyway, a neat MOC indeed, great job! ~Peace

Well, I thought it may have been a molding error, but it seems a bit to perfect to be an error. Perfect width and corners and what-not. Not a big difference, but still definately a difference. Anyway, I'm just glad other people can see it, and I'm not going crazy. ~Peace
