Nice!! I follow you on Flickr @bobhayes You should post more of your work here on Eurobricks!

It'd be great if TrixBrix started offering injection molded variants of their more complex switches, especially that R104 doubleslip switch I would definitely be on board for IM narrow gauge track too!

This sounds like a job for switchers/ shunters!

Does this spell a double R104 crossover? Also, is Hoffmeyer okay?

Looks weird, but I like the built in wood texture. Would be wild if TLG ever graced us with dual molded track... I think Cobi should've either stuck with the 2x8 ties but maybe increase the spacing between them (for less ties per section), or gone with 1.5x8 ties in order to better mask the width difference
-
If TLG does release a new train motor, I’m hoping for a smaller single axle motor with a lil more torque than the current one
-
Instead of glass, they should of shown the train bursting through a (my) wallet
-
Is that a button for wolf howls…?
-
Its funny how the truck is like, x4 larger than the train...

I wonder if that ”action” track piece could also be used as a derailleur of sorts? Like, if you block the trigger with a counterweight maybe? This is the track piece we needed back with the Lone Ranger train and its “dynamite under the watertower” play feature. Here’s to hoping this trigger piece aint a 1off…
-
Yeah @Phil B I'm confused by the wheels too; I thought TLG was going back to the metal axles...? Although, in the context of the spidermin subway car, the hero could benefit from the increased rolling resistance lol

hopefully these new elements show up in Stud.io soon!

I seent the leak but i's still skeptical lol I see this going one of two ways: A) The Arctic Train is part of the first wave of a PuP 2.0 system ((or at the very least PuP 1.5)) that introduces improved elements w/o changing the proprietary connectors, and also introduces some new play feature specific track elements. There's the one bump-action track piece that hopefully won't be a 1-off novelty. The other is a road crossing/ re-railler piece that I'm *really* hoping is actually two separate pieces, where that road bit in the middle is actually a giant 4x14 tile that then leaves the rest of the track hollow like the old 6x8 trapdoor plate. It's probably one piece, but HopefullYyy not B) The Arctic Train is the last train set to use the PuP system before the next regime change is announced ((2027 perhaps?)) that will most certainly reinvent the wheel change the proprietary connectors in order to facilitate an 8 strand thick cable, the upside being a robust LiOn battery pack (sold separately). The two new track elements are merely there. I'm sincerely hoping for my scenario A to play out! Upon first glance at the leaked boxart, I mistook the minifig using a telescoping camera lens while seated in a tracked vehicle as some sort of mobile artillery/lawnchair that was sniping the boulders to fall onto the train... but I had to refresh myself and ask why would they want to stop their own train... unless I wonder if the tariff wars will affect the price? *le sigh*... Probably

Bricklink Designer Program Trains Sets | 2024 & Beyond

The tram and track section add an unnecessary 3-400 pcs to whats otherwise a decent building. What also bugs me is the lil pop-up food cart that seems to be selling dumplings... that's like putting a taco truck in front of a Mexican restaurant... hopefully those bits get cut and either lower the parts' count down to 3k, or they take those 400ish parts to increase the restaurant's size! Lastly, can anyone read kanji / chinese characters? lol fingers crossed those don't translate into something dumb or offensive to those cultures -
It would be great if we could get smaller, more robust motors in the next wave though! Why does everything hafta get bigger? Looking esp. at that weird all-in-one brick in that's in set #42176 https://brickset.com/sets/42176-1/Porsche-GT4-e-Performance-Race-Car

Bricklink Designer Program Trains Sets | 2024 & Beyond
M_slug357 replied to RedBrick1's topic in LEGO Train Tech
@Lyichir The track sections in the Brick Cross set are detachable and not ballasted though. That's why Lego probably asked the designer of the Wild West train to either lengthen the train to 8 sections or shorten it to 4. Since there was enough room, the designer presumably petitioned for the flatcar + extra figs& horses. Personally, I would have opted for one less horse and 2-3 more cactuar... -
@Murdoch17 I don't think that's a cupola, but rather an obscurely large air vent for the horses? I like dark red on the engine, tender and coach, but feel like it gets a little lost with all the browns. I personally would have done away with the windmill in favor of more cacti (3~4) to help break up the brown more. I also think the standard track pieces were a good choice in terms of display as they should result in a sturdier base... Hopefully we get a full 8 segments though b/c the photos look like only 6-7...?

I need something to get my blood pumping LoL But really, why wouldn't Lego try some Ai-powered products? Especially with Trains as the guinea pig for new control schemes & devices. When you look back at the history of trains, almost all new electrical systems have debuted through train sets. I really hope it stays as random nonsense, kinda doubt it will though. @JopieK Admittedly, some Ai-enhanced elements could be nifty to see if they were implemented well but my hopes are . . . low
