  1. Thank you! Actually, my long term plan is to build more characters in this style. Allegra in her original form is sadly disassembled, but she will return (i hope). The Constraction heads and the Galidor heads are in slightly different scale though. So if she turns up alongside Mordechai she will be a bit smaller. There are of course small people, and big people, so I hope the difference won't be too big. The Ben 10 torso works better size-wise than the HF-torso. Ben 10 is a bit bigger. I was quite pleased with the result of using the Ben 10 parts.
  2. Thank you so much!
  3. Hi everyone! This is something that I've been wanting to build since I saw the first images of the Obi-Wan Constracation Figure. I just love that head. So here goes: Mordechai by o0ger, on Flickr Mordechai by o0ger, on Flickr Mordechai by o0ger, on Flickr Mordechai by o0ger, on Flickr Mordechai by o0ger, on Flickr I finally got to use some of those dark blue Ben 10 leg/arm-joints as well.
  4. Thanks everyone! :D glad you found something to like!
  5. Thank you! It would be cool to see this roof in a larger scale. Thank you! Thanks!
  6. The harbor master usually sits in his chair by his house. Now and then he scans the horizon with his telescope. He has spotted an incoming ship and gets ready with his ship hook. His daughter and assistant is trying to get rid of a rodent. 7. Thanks everyone! I seem to have trouble communicating with the staff of Villa Cavrois and some fansites. Mostly it seems like a language problem. I thought English would work, but I clearly can't make myself understood properly. I don't know if it's because my English is bad or if the French speaking people I communicate with don't quite understand English. I thought it would be a good idea to involve the Villa Cavrois Museum. But I think I just got an auto-reply or they're not very eager to help. Any French speaking LEGO Architecture enthusiasts out there who could help me with reaching out to the French? Is there a French LUG or LEGO-forum?
  8. Now also on LEGO Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/139781
  9. Gah! This needs to be the next UCS.
  10. Dang! I just noticed this now! There's to little time!!!
  11. Thank you! The panel technique seemed to fit really nicely in this build. Glad you like it!
  12. Thank you! There are several buildings with interesting stories. But this one intrigued me. And it felt like vindication and a victory for the house in the end! Thanks! Yes, LEGO seems made for modern architecture! You just have to find the right scale and the right parts! ;)
  13. Villa Cavrois by o0ger, on Flickr Villa Cavrois by o0ger, on Flickr Villa Cavrois in Croix, France is a large modernist mansion built in 1932 by French architect Robert Mallet-Stevens. It is a testimony to the modernist vision of the 1920s as it was conceived by designers such as Le Corbusier, Pierre Chareau and the Bauhaus school. Robert Mallet-Stevens also designed the large park-like garden and the interior of the house. The house has seen many people come and go through the years. In 1940 it was requisitioned by the German Army. It was returned to the Cavrois' in 1947. After the death of Madame Cavrois in 1986 the house was sadly looted and abandoned. In 2001 the French State bought the house and started restorations with a vision of turning it into a museum. The villa opened to the public on 13 June 2015. I am a big fan of the modern architecture envisioned in the beginning of the 20th century. Key words from that era were air, light, comfort and efficiency. Following these rules, the architect made a bold move to build the entire mansion out of yellow bricks. The choice of the LEGO-color "brick yellow" (tan) seemed appropriate. As always when building in this scale you have to choose what details to focus on and what to leave out. The placing of the windows and the overall proportions of the house is what I focus on. I hope you all like my version of Villa Cavrois! href="http://www.villa-cavrois.fr/ -------------------------------------- This is my entry in the Marchitecture 2016 Contest. reference image:
  14. I have been running LDD on Windows 10 since the public release candidate. (i.e. it works on windows 10)
  15. Collission issuses with new parts.
  16. Huh, can't find it?
  17. ok, I think I understand! Hopefully I will have something done in a month, and hopefully it won't be disqualified ;)
  18. Great idea! I'm confused about the scale though. "Microscale in this case is anything Bricktober-set-size or smaller." So this means no villas and smaller buildings like The Farnsworth Building (21009), Villa Savoye (21014) or Fallingwater (21005)? You only want microscale versions of large buildings?
  19. Thanks Paddy!
  20. Thanks for your kind words! As I said, I didn't know where to post this. I saw some fantasy themed MOCs in this forum so I figured it was right. I can't move this post myself.
  21. Thank you!
  22. Thank you! Ok, to me it's more like fantasy. I couldn't find a fantasy-section here. Maybe some kind moderator would kindly move this to a more appropriate area then?

  24. Thanks! Chriss Foss is always there in my head and influence me in my MOCing I guess. I have some kind of display stand for it. I will bring it to an exhibition next month so I hope it holds up :)
  25. I really like this MOC. I love that you have used black, white and grey instead of just making it a BW photo in some editor afterwards. I think I most like the images without any minifigs. They have a much more abandoned and desolate feel. My favorite is the one with the trolleys.
