Well, I asked the LEGO store Employee why they didn't have any in stock, as I wanted to pick up another one. He said it has been discontinued and they were not going to get anymore. So I'm pretty sure they are not going to make another run of them. I do agree that cost wise. it is a pretty penny. But it is VERY unique and quite beautiful. LEGO knows this and priced it that way. But is it worth it? YES. My bet is that, even though it's not a licenced set, that it's going to be pretty insane (price way) on the secondary market. This is why I was letting the community know what I know.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Boettner Builds replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I know the Monster Fighters Haunted House isn't really a Modular but... But when I asked my local LEGO store why they didn't have any in stock they said it has been discontinued. It can easily be made into a Modular and is quite beautiful on it's own. I'm going to grab another one. If you were on the fence about this one, now it the time to get it! -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Boettner Builds replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Buy the FB first. It's price is still pretty good but will only go higher as time goes by. Then Town Hall, then Pet Shop. You might want to think about the Monsters Fighters Haunted House too (It's a beautiful building and the last of the Monster Fighters line). You still have a couple of years to worry about The Palace Cinema and The Parisan Restaurant. -

My local TRU has all of the Artic theme but not the Ice Breaker. I can't wait until TRU has BOGO on City sets

Awesome Rob-Cubed!!! I have no interest in the Simpsons CMF's but I kinda love Homers remote! Thanks for the link and advise!
-
Is the CMF Homer's TV remote tile exclusive to him? I couldn't find it on Bricklink...

Bricks and Pieces Interesting Pricing
Boettner Builds replied to JGW3000's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So, I placed an order with Bricks & Pieces. A couple of things I noticed: -On the website, you can't order more than 200 per part number. (You might be able to change that when you phone in the order) -Some of the prices beat PAB by a pretty large margin. -Some of the prices were dead on with PAB prices. -Some of the prices were MORE expencive than PAB. Not sure where I'm going with this, just letting the community know, I guess. -
Like FINSHED!?!? I can't wait to see those pictures!!!

This also bothers me alot. LEGO could cut costs (maybe), waste (definitely) quite a bit if they made the boxes actual needed size.

MOCs, how much do they end up costing?
Boettner Builds replied to psdillon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Time vs. money I have yet to buy anything off of Bricklink, but I do look alot. When the time comes for me to bulk buy, I'm going to go with which ever store has the amount I need for the cheapest price. One order, one shipping cost. To me, that makes the most sence. -
Where to find cheaper LEGO City roadplates?
Boettner Builds replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in LEGO Town
I Just checked out Amazon (US Site) with the Brickset links. More expencive than LEGO stores/site. I suppose they can go on sale sometimes, but there might be some deals on Ebay sometime as well. I think that's the best we can do. Or maybe we can start a road plate trade thread?- 26 replies

MOCs, how much do they end up costing?
Boettner Builds replied to psdillon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think i'm going to keep tabs on the MOC I'm currently working. (just for fun) So far I'm $100 in, and have barely scratched the surface in bricks I need for it. -
Where to find cheaper LEGO City roadplates?
Boettner Builds replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in LEGO Town
I've been wondering this same thing myself. So far what I have been doing is just buying the road plate packs at the LEGO store. The bricklink prices seem to be about the same, then you add shipping. At least at the LEGO store you get VIP points.- 26 replies
