HomerJSimpson replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Can anybody who has it tell me how many bags are in it, what number they go up to, what each one builds, and where the mini figures come in? Thanks.- 158 replies

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
HomerJSimpson replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Actually, the NYTF is usually wrong when it comes to that. Every year ALL summer sets say august, when they're really released in May, June or July.- 2,626 replies

What The Simpsons character do you want as a minifigure?
HomerJSimpson replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, actually, some are more rare than others, but not like one in every box. Let's just say there are 100 bags in a box. There may be one character, like homer, where there are 10 in a box, or another, like apu, where there are only 7. Don't worry, there's NEVER a character where there is only 1 a box, I think the minimum is, like, 4. And, if you can't find one you want, the CMFs never go for over $10 on eBay, but you can usually find one for about $5- 82 replies

I have mixed feelings about the pet shop. The actual pet shop is nice, but the town house is not good looking. No offense to whoever made that, I just think the designers intended for the modulars to be fully closed. The floors are ok, but the way the bathroom and stairs are is kinda ugly. The other modulars may be different. But the town hall CANT be open backed. The elevator would just fall out, and there would be a huge gap due to the mezzanine. If the buildings ( besides the town hall) are gonna be covered by others, then it will be fine. I just think that the designers made them to only be full-wall buildings.

2014 CREATOR Houses Sets - Rumours and Discussion
HomerJSimpson replied to Rick's topic in LEGO Town
Now seeing the inside of the apartment, the cafe will definitely get a makeover. The apartment of the bike shop is ok, but the cafe's is awful. A dresser and chair? No bed? No kitchen? This area will be replaced with about 3 or 4 tables, and the downstairs will fully be the kitchen. I may leave the bike shop apartment alone, or I may make it something else. Maybe a repair area for the bikes, or a shop that sells accessories, or maybe a completely different business. Or maybe I'll leave it alone. Edit: I can fit about 4 tables on the roof! It's perfect, a rooftop cafe! Think about the summer- they'll be blooming with business! And in the winter and fall, they can eat inside on the 2nd floor! -
Ooh, when will that start? Will it be on tables, unlike New Mannum which is on a shelf?

Will you be making it an octan station, or will you make up a gas company for New Mannum? Edit: as soon as I posted this, you put the picture up.

If you have a 32x32 baseplate, you know. Or, if you have 2 16x32 base plates, 4 16x16 plates, etc. that equal 32, you will know. If you don't have any of those, you can just go to your Toys R Us and see the base plates they sell, not the HUMUNGO gray one, the smaller green or blue one.

REVIEW: 9349 Fairytale and Historic Minifigure Set
HomerJSimpson replied to Pandora's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Whacking a snake with a stick- where have I heard that from? Oh right, whacking day! -
Hi, The Simpsons is my favorite show ever, with Bob's Burgers being a close second. With lego making Simpsons sets now, I feel like Bob's Burgers is left out by lots of people. If you haven't watched it, new episodes are on Fox every Sunday at 8:30 et. But anyway, I've been planning on making a Bob's Burgers mic for a while now, and I wanted to let you know about it. Here's what I have so far: The building will be a 32x32 baseplate in the front, and 16x16 in the back, although they're connected by bricks. The minifigures will have to be yellow, as since the short sleeve arms from the simpsons only come in yellow, I need yellow heads. It will also allow access to a more broad variety of head expressions. There will be 4 booths inside, as seen in the show. The counter will have multiple stools, an opening angle counter, some condiments, and the ever famous chalkboard with a custom sticker that has a burger of the day on it. The kitchen access will be from the back of the counter, and include the fryer, oven stove, refrigerator, counter etc. there will also be a door next the refrigerator, that really leads to nowhere, but SHOULD lead to the basement. The public bathroom will be at the back, and the alley access will be from the back of the kitchen. There will be a door on the outside right that leads to the upstairs living area. When you go upstairs, there will be a wall. To the left is the living room, with couch, tv, etc. ahead of that is Bob and Linda's bedroom. Ahead of that is Louise's very small bedroom, as it was originally a walk in closet. Ahead of THAT is the bathroom, and, finally, the kitchen with round table. Next to that, on the right, is the dining room. Below that is Tina's bedroom, and below that is Gene's room. The characters in the set will be: Bob, Linda, Tina, Gene, Louise, Mort, and Teddy. I may later make Gayle and Mr Fishoder mini figures. So, what do you think? Follow this post, as I will be updating the progress! Work in LDD will start tomorrow, and I don't know when minifig work will start.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
HomerJSimpson replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Everybody watch the brickshow's coverage of the sub! There's a clear shot of the truck takedown mentioned above! -
Me too! Everybody's complaining how it doesn't go with city but do KIDS really have a whole town? That's who the sets are aimed for! I may get the base camp,as it's only $90, and I'm DEFINITELY getting the icebreaker and arctic plane, maybe the outpost if toysrus has another one of those "spend $50, get $15 off". Yesterday I got the sunset speeder for $3 because I spent $50
-
I've been having city sets for 7 years now, and I can't believe how much prices are going up every year. In 2011, the train station would have been $50. In 2012, it would have been $60. But $65? It's crazy! I may have to buy it because I don't have a station for my train yet, but I'll wait for it to be on sale. I hope the icebreaker is $90, and the arctic plane $45, because I'll go bankrupt if they aren't...
-
The sea cow was just revealed! Go check it out, then write what you think of it here! I love it, and I will probably be replacing mini-beard with full size metal beard, as I just got 70807 yesterday.
-
$65 for 423 pieces? That is highway robbery!
-
Did anybody read what I just read? 48 new minifigures? Aye Corumba! Where am I gonna get the money for 48 minifigs? I'm still super excited though! Edit: I just realized that it's not 48 SIMPSONS mini figs, 48 in general.

You didn't show the minifigures.

LEGO Ultra Agents 2014
HomerJSimpson replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
In J2G's look at the catalogue, Solomon came in the infearno interception, and the guy in that set has gray hair. I thought it was weird too, because I don't think he's in his 60's ;) -
Did you use large 2048 format on Flickr? It's MUCH clearer. edit: I can't seem to read it on my iPad, but with a computer you may. It looks like a new design though, I can't see it being a copy of a different car.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
HomerJSimpson replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Ah, i was gonna start my own topic for this question cause I didn't know where to put it! Here it is: HOW addictive are the modulars? Edit: fixed where it said "is as" with "I was". Stupid auto correct :)
