  1. Oh my, this is a great ship and a wonderful display. Well Done.
  2. I have bought quite a few sets of late on ebay and only one was missing parts. The seller claimed that was not possable and refused to discuss. I have bought 12 times from Bricklinks and had one negative experiance there as well. Seller ignored meails and messages. But if you asked me which I trusted more? Bricklinks. I agree with those who said the sellers on Brick Links are fans as well as sellers. They get it. They understand. Where the sellers on ebay range from fellow fan to partent dumping old toys from spare room. When I buy on ebay I buy expecting to use the "set" for parts and not as a sollector item. If it si great, well I got lucky in my mind. My last ebay buy was a ExoForce Mecha. She came in a zip lock bag and did have 100% of the parts. Came with an extra Robot as well. So you just never know on ebay.
  3. I get that Target (who did have a Chrismas sale this month) and Walmart (who also had a "Black Friday II sale this month) may not have them, But someone has them now or is it Lego lets the pictures out of all the stuff? Sort of ruins the idea of the "surprise every morning" if they do. TO "leak" out the complete list and photos in July.
  4. I like this one, the only comments I have would be: Space out the guns, they look crowded up at the front. Other then that, I like this quite a bit. Well Done.
  5. This is a nice redesign useing the two sets. Well done. I think you have made something greater then the two sets. On a side note: I am unsure I would call it a "mistake". We AFOLs often seem to forget that Lego is childs toy. My six year old would not get as much play out a closed tower. The open back allows him to use it as it was ment to be, a play set. So Open Towers are not a mistake, it is a feature that us older "kids" just sometimes find annoying.
  6. Sorry, when I saw pictures of what is in it and pictures of the box and folks posting that they have their orders in, I liked what I saw and did not want to miss out.
  7. That is showing the 2008 version. I was curious about the 2010 version. They have shown some of the leements in a spoiler thread and the cover, but no info on how to get it. Thanks though. Daniel
  8. Ok, as someone who is returning from a 20 plus year "dark age" I am out of touch. I have read a few times about these and yet can not find any reference to them on the lego site etc. Are these some kind of in store exclusive? Or only available in a particular place? Help me get "catch up". Thank You
  9. It is this helm: Helmet Spiked Top with Grille
  10. Well done. I love the guy with the apple on his head. Funny.
  11. I just opened a pack yesterday that I bought from my local Lego Store. I did not see any difference with the shields at all. To be honest I did not see any difference in any of the weapons either. One figure was not holding the stuff well, but overall it was good enough for childs play (they were for my six year old).
  12. This is a great thread. I read this thread from the first page. Thank You
  13. Nice hard suit. I have seen a few now using healmets as shoulder pads. I like the idea and your choice really makes this suit look good. Bravo.
  14. Well Done. I think it has a clean look to it.

    Uniball

Oh well. As I do not have that part I was unsure if there would be a way without damaging the ball. Regardless, I do love what you came up with quite a bit.
  16. And I expect once again the kids will not get any because the power sellers will snap them up in the first hour like set #1 and sell them on ebay at twice the price.
  17. I think that there is not such thing as a totaly useless part. But I think it is true some are more of a challange and will be used less then other elements. On a side note, I also think how people see a part has a lot to do with what they like to build. I also think that as you learn new ways to build then various parts become more attractive and you will use them more. Just my .02
  18. Thank You. That was a great page and on eworth book marking.
  19. Bravo. I love the water effects and the raft. Well done.
  20. Thanks for the idea/tip. I will take advantage of the local TRU as well.
  21. While I understand the desire to avoid silly play features like the spring loaded launchers or targets etc, but given a choice between a "UCS" and a system set, I would vote for a system set. But I also do not see why they can not make a combined set and just minimise the cute play features.
  22. Nice use of those gears. I love the tower witht he control gear. Nice job.
  23. Thanks Carbohydrates, As someone who is just returning it is nice to know what I am up against in this regard. It is a shame they have gone this way though. Lego was one brand I always thought of as high quality. I hope they do not live to regret this move.
  24. This is a wondeful shot. I love the feel it gives the set. Nice work.
