I am glad Rufus merged these threads. I have just spent the time to read most of the nine pages. Some great thoughts. I think as adults it is hard to keep the child like imagination, but it is more than that. My seven year old has no issue mixing themes. Starwars torsos with Alien Conquest heads and Kingdom horses standing next to a Toy Story Truck and his own MOC "ski-boat". He does not feel the need to keep the themes together etc. I try to play with him and once in a great while I realize I have slipped out of the adult training and find I can enjoy the moment. Then there are other moments when I find myself thinking like a "grown up". This is a great subject/thread. Thanks all who have added to it.

Seeing Mythos' thread showing off her husbands Chinese army made me realize I should post my small squad as well. Here is my first BrickTW armed and armored squad.

I love how the bowmen turned out. The color shift for the hats gives them a nice look. The whole army is nice and the mix of troops and cav feel right to. Well done Asterios.

While this is a great idea, it is sometimes hard to do. You are shown pictures in the Prototype threads of items and then significant time goes by and each new release you hope to see the items you fell in love with. So yes, I will buy some of the new stuff, but please do not ask me not to keep hope for the items I plan on buying lots of. EDIT: Fixed Typo.

About 30 pounds of mixed Lego just handed to me because the person knew my son and I were playing with Lego. They have no idea how much fun he had just looking through the stuff.

Placed an order and included some of the new stuff. Looking forward to receiving it. Good to see them doing such fun stuff.

I have to agree. I love the whole MOC build. Nice set up and action. Bu the cartoon feel took away from it's greatness in my opinion. Anime or not, it did not work for me. But the real focus is that the Lego build was well done and I would say it was something to be proud of.

I think these are great. I love the whole idea that something as simple and playful is included in a mission like this. That is so very human in my opinion.

I notice some folks also call their vignettes or scenes MOCs as well. Not sure if that is right, but I have seen it used that way.

They look wonderful and the detail you have added is great. makes me with I had the money to be able to buy them. They are worth it.

The 2x2 round shield looks great. I love how they turned out and they do really fit the look of the army. Well Done.
