I am preparing 2 creations (for the same catagory) at the moment, I will post pics once they are basically complete. Jon.

Sorry for the late birthday wishes. Hope you had a great fun filled day! ;) Jon.

Boots? I never knew they sold Lego, I always thought they were just cosmetics, make up etc.. I'll have to go check mine out.. for the Lego of course! ;) Jon.
-
Wow.. it must have taken you a long time to write all that! ;) Jon.

All those white visors! :oD .. and those shadow knights!! The model looks fairly simple, the curved wall lookf effective, although its the only really neat thing about the actual castle. I think this is a simple MOC designed to display some rare and expensive figs! ;) Jon.

Anymore people interested? I really need an estimate number of people by next week, as I cannot assume how many people will attend when I make the plans. It should be a really fun event so don't miss out! Jon.

Upload it onto Brickshelf and then use the IMG tags at the top of the reply screen, or if it is one image then use the file attachments at the bottom of the screen. If you want to add an avatar (if thats what you mean) then go to my controls followed by my avatar setting, and then you can easily upload it. Hope this help, :) Jon.

I'll go against the general opinion and say WHITE!!! I think it contrasts better against the police man whereas the black sorta blends into the fig. Also, white is more similar to the clear plastic shields that they use. Jon.

Well, not quite as traumatic as these really rare misses.. But, once I went into Poundstretcher (a cheapo store over here) and saw a bunch of Final Duel II's (the one with the stormie). Unfortunately I only had a few quid and couldn't get any, but I came back the next day with sufficient cash and they were all gone! :() I could have got like 20 for

I am currently talking with an organiser at Legoland so I will post all details when I can. So far, we are likely to have a room which we can use to set up our MOCs (this may be open for the public on Sunday so it should be good fun! :-D ) As far as a tour goes I am not sure, as there is no factory like in Billund at Windsor. But I can promise there will be plenty of time for shopping and going round Legoland! ;) Jon.

I have added a list to the first post so we can easily see who is coming, if anyone else wants to attend then just post here! :) Surely there are lots more, as in the other event 2006 topic there were lots of eager people! :-D Jon.

No, it was new grey. All sets made after 2004 are in new grey as far as I can remember. This means that newer X-wing, Snowspeeder and Falcon are all new grey. Jon.

Ok guys, so I am well on the way with the plans of next years event. The currently unconfirmed date is that of Friday 26th May - Sunday 28th.. *please note* this is not 100% certain, it could change, but it is the most likely weekend for the event to take place. I am currently in discussion with some guys at LEGOLAND Windsor, as well as the accomodation and I really need some sort of estimate figure for the number of people attending. So if you are pretty sure that you can come or are interested in doing so, please post here.. to give me an idea of how many we should expect. Provocative art? Sick art? Art at all?
jonfett replied to Hobbes's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Lego is not made to create scenes such as these.. it reminds me of the Lego Holocaust project where some guy made some sick concentration camp sets >-| http://www.unpopart.org/artworks/legos.html Jon. -
How many minifigures should be included per every $5 a set costs? I'd say 0.5 ;) .. or 1 for every $10. What price per piece is considered a good buy? Perhaps $1 for every 10 parts. What condition do the parts have to be in to be considered/desired (obviously not all parts will be in mint/new condition)? Useable, not mint but fairly good and in a not-too-used condition. Castle, mecha or space which should I pursue? Try some models of each, or go for the two most popular. I would love to see Castle and Mecha personally. Are instructions a must or should I try something like an x-pod style? Maybe a main model instructions sheet and then pictures for ideas of alternate models, so yeah.. sorta like X-pod. Good luck with the sets SuvieD, and remember that there are tonnes of members here willing to buy sets and help you out ;) Jon.

Woohoo! You made me! :-D I like you interpretation, not as I would see myself, but of course its great! ;) Maybe you could use the mandalorian armour torso from Boba fett? This is just grey so it could fit. I like how you gave me an armoured arm and the double bladed axe! Can't wait to get into Yoda! :P Jon.

I watched the video before seeing how it works.. I thought there was some sort of magnet involved!! *wacko* Really neat and wacky idea, I wanna make me one! :-D Jon.

Welcome to EB! :) I am sure you will fit into our community easily, as we are all Lego fans! :-D Jon.
