I think we plan to move most of the posts over to the new 'Castle, Pirates and Vikings' forum. I guess we will move the caption contests and some of the other random stuff to 'Humor and fun'. We won't forget Viking Month, its been great! But we can't keep the forum open forever. Jon.

Hey!!! >:( I'm not pathetic! |-/ (goes away to think of a way to get revenge on Yoda *twisted* ) Jon.

Wow! Bidding has ended, and the little armory has sold for $6,600! :oo Jeff said at CC.. So maybe he will try to re-sell, as I doubt $6,600 is enough for him. Jon.

I have never had any serious problems with deliveries before, but one time I had ordered something which was being delivered through a courier (can't remember the compnay). Anyway, I was sat in the kitchen when a note came through the back door saying 'We tried to deliver the item to you, but no one was in etc..'. Of course, this was complete bull as I was sat 5 metres away from the door and I didn't hear anyone knock. If I'd of been changed I would have gone out and asked what the hell the guy was doing, but I was still in pyjamas. Fortunately they called the next day (yes they actually rang the bell! ;)) and I got my parcel, but it just seems lazy not to be bothered calling. Jon.

I think Jay's sig changes automatically.. see here - http://www.sloganizer.net/en/ Oh, and would you please stop saying 'Yay! My nth post!' everytime you post something! Jon.

Need I say anything? Vote away! And once you have done, check out contest 5! ;) Jon.

Only 2 more contests left now guys! Lets see if you can all create great captions to make the decision for the top 6 even harder for us judges! This contest will end on Saturday around 7pm, so you've got plenty of time to come up with something! *viki* Jon.

I'm sure that Lenny from CC was elected in this second run. As for their actual roles, well it beats me! I have not seen any articles saying what they have done or what they have changed. I guess they just make small influences which we don't know about. Hopefully we will hear more about their roles as I would love to know what has been done and what will be done. Jon.

Contest Closed! Once again some great entries! The voting will commence shortly and caption contest 5 will be posted soon as well. Jon.

Ways LEGO use designs to establish its identity
jonfett replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Another point to mention on logo. Red and yellow, bold colours which are easily imprinted in our mind and so we remember them well. This is what makes the logo so recognisable, the simplicity is effective! Also, whilst talking about the minifig say that (up until recently) all Lego people are equal, yellow represents everyone. This is another reason why the minifigure is well known. Jon. -

Why not go on to mention some of TLC marketing campaigns? Such as the slogan 'Imagine'. You could use this to disuces the fact the Lego has always been about construction and using your imagination to create things. If you asked a non-AFOL about their outlook on Lego, they would surely mention that you can build whatever you want. I hope I have not gone off the point here, and good luck with your essay! ;) Jon. -
C'mon people! There is only a day left and all the captions have similar votes. Everyone try to vote please, so we can have a clear winner! Jon.

Looks like it is down to 3 of us now. As this is slightly low I was wondering if we could perhaps go down to to Winsdor for 1 day? As the weekend would be a bit expensive and not worth it if there are that few of us. So any UK'ers (or anyone else for that matter) willing to go down for a day? Jon.
-
Great! So thats four of us then! :-D I need to talk to Yoda and Sne to finalise the accomodation. Jon.

I dunno if anyone has mentioned this yet, but it has shown up on Amazon.co.uk for

I don't think that this has made much of a profit (once you take away the costs of molds etc..) So I expect Jeff will be happy to make a few $K and start new. Jon.

Oh, sorry. My mistake! ;) Jon.
