  1. Ah, you already know the important guys ;) so you are welcome here! Hope you enjoy our community! :) Jon.
  2. I saw the movie today, and I must saw it was great! Much better and darker than the other 3. I thought that this film was much closer to the book than the others have been and it only left a few minor details out. I was disappointed not to see the quidditch match but I guess it didn't really add to the overall storyline. As I have read the book I understood the sequence of events and I thought the plot worked well and ran smoothly, I agree with Apo that the film should have started at the Dursleys for completeness sake, but I see why they chose not to. The graveyard scene was perfect for me, I just wish Voldermort had said that line about there being one of his servents at Hogwarts for reference to future books. Overall a great film! I will probably go see it again as I thought it was the best HP so far! Jon.
  3. Oh.. 8-| I have once bought from him, a few months back, so am I therefore supporting theft?! *wacko* This is just plain wrong, stealing Lego.. >-| Jon.
  4. .. why bley will never look good as scenery.. I learnt the hard way, so you don't have to! ;) Jon.
  5. Yes, but when they created the mold for Leia's hair (which they used the same one for both sets) they surely expected that the revenue from the sets would cover the costs of the mold (over $10k if I am correct). What I am trying to say is that to cover the same costs for a new mold from a single $6 would hardly be as effective. So they must have expected to use the molds in another set as well in order to cover the costs a little more. I hope you understand what I am trying to say! ;) Jon.
  6. Nice one Khorne! ;) Can't wait.. I decided to save Yoda the trouble and take the liberty of doing my old job! ;) Our members have made a total of 50000 posts and we have 543 registered members. Not bad eh? How will we be doing at 100,000 posts? 200,000? 1,000,000? 8-| Who knows.. lets just keep on doing whatever we do that makes Eurobricks Eurobricks! I hope every member of the community carries on posting here and enjoys doing so! :) Dammit! |-/ Jon.
  7. I bet some non-Lego XBox fanatic will see this, not realise the tiny scale and pay the outrageous price for it!! As long as its not an AFOL that's ok! ;) If this sells I am buying the measly $10 of parts and trying out my luck too! :P Jon.
  8. Graveyard Duel all the way! Lots of interesting figures and parts and definately the most re-usable set out of the 4, as well as the most impressive. Oh and Kahgarak, what's with the secret? Why do you need a link from this thread back to this thread?? *wacko* Jon.

Only 2 sets? I guess TLC's contract with Nickelodeon allows them to create a few sets from any of the selected shows, so we won't see lots of repetetive sets from the same show, whcih mihgt not sell. Instead, a nice selection which should be a sure hit! ;) Jon.
  10. In no particular order.. - Kaiser Chiefs - Franz Ferdinand - Kanye West Jon.
  11. I remember back around this time last year, when we got the Viking pics and the City pics, we all said it would be a great year.. it was! :) Let's hope the same happens again for 2006, from most of the stuff we have already seen I would say it will be another year. Long live 2005! The year of the brick! ;) (Can anyone who is Chinese confirm that this is part of the Chinese calendar? If not.. WHY ISN'T IT!? >:( ) :P Jon.
  12. Welcome to Eurobricks! You will find many members here eager to discuss and build MOCs, I'm sure you'll fit in! ;) Jon.
  13. I cannot find the quote, but I remember someone saying earlier in this topic or another one, that for once AFOL will be happy for stickers for once! ;) I agree, the design of these Mecha's is simple yet effective and I like the look of them. I don't like the apparant moulded figs (look at the robots with the large gun :| ) and unappealing design. A few of the mechas would look good on their own (and without the stickers) but if I bought any of these I would probably just part them out.. thats IF I buy them! ;) Jon.
  14. Going back to the original picture, *wacko* this is why castle builders never tend to use dark grey, I cannot see dark bley working out in castle MOCs at all, it seems to metallic and has a space feel to it. The picture a few posts above shows mottling when it works, a few small shades here and there really give the effect, unlike the mottling in the first pic which didn't work at all. I would also like to back up Sne's plee. Please just post a link of the gallery so we can see where it comes from and who it belongs to. As he said, it would make it so much easier to discuss people's MOCs without confusion ;) Jon.
  15. I like this list, and I think it sounds about right judging on how Lego tends not to create too many new figs for a new set. I would agree that we may see a new Lando and if so, possibly another skiff guard and Luke/Han. Jon.
  16. Brilliant work B&W! What can I say? There is so much detail and so much to comment on. First of all I would like to say that your original and asymmetrical castle design is great, you have used mottling to great effect and it makes the overal extreior of your castle look eye-catching. I cannot comment on all the detail you put in, but I love the drawbridge, the trees and the small scenes such as the forestmen breaking in! :-D Great stuff, I must check your whole BS gallery when I have time, to see what other masterpieces you have created! Jon.
  17. I remember seeing this sellers store on BL, I've forgotten if they were called Ebrickz or custom minifigs or whatever it was. I first came across the store on eBay, which led me to BL and then the AFOL community (so thanks for that! ;)) Anyway, the figs looked wondeful and I always wanted to buy some, but they were around $10-15 each and I just couldn't afford it. I'm glad I didn't after all the bad things I have seen said. As for the clone above, I thought they looked pretty impressive, but of course these are the master copies! Perfectly crafted, with care and time taken over them.. this doesn't mean as much care will be taken with the ones being sold ;) Jon.
  18. I agree with Beagle that there must be a large stock of the old ATTE found in some warehouse. As the Naboo fighter SE is also on the page I guess they just added some sets to fill up the spaces and to cover every episode (as you can see at the bottom the SW timeline). Jon.
  19. Great work Graynar, I love your originality and cartoony style that you have used in your drawings. Hope to see more from you! ;) The next Greg Hyland?? Jon.
  20. I am kinda split on this set, as Jay said. On one hand there are a load of big pieces, hardly re-usable but on the other hand the set seems really good. I think it is accrate to minifig scale and overall looks impressive. I may pick this up IF it is cheap and there is nothing else for me to buy ;) Jon.
  21. Long story really, the short of it is that he had problems with work and family and had to spend less time here. I know we haven't seen him for months but I am sure we will see him again one day, once he gets everything sorted ;) As for the VIPs, these are people who have greatly donated to Eurobricks, but on the whole can't be as active as some of us, so theres no point in them being a mod/admin. Hope this helps, Jon.
  22. I think this belongs in the Castle and Pirates forum, as the Skeleton is a minifig featured in these sets. Jon.
  23. I can just imagine this guy (on the right) saying.. "aaaand... CUT!" (you get it?? Steven Spielburg and all that ;)) *grooaaaaann* :| Nice work with these guys Kim! I think the white works really well, and you managed to get the guys on horses to look just right too (with their different uniform). I can't wait to see these guys in action! And I recommend you take up Yoda's plee! ;) Jon.
  24. Only a week left now to get your picture in, we currently have only 13 so lets see if we can get a lot more of our community involved in this! Jon.
