  1. Rather than just skyscrapers, a classic Avengers Mansion from the comics, with comic inspired minifigs similar to the Daily Bugle could be a lot of fun. There are lots of skypscrapers in more modern Marvel, but X-Mansion and Avengers Mansion both would fit in a lot lower. Avengers Mansion appears more urban anyway, and a could fit in nicely with some fencing in a modular city?
  2. I'm really liking 95% of what I see for the Market. I think it's a great way to add variety instead of just adding new squares on a square baseplate. The water at the back from the original City and the Docks seemed a bit much, so this one bulking out the middle may be a nice change of pace as we get more modulars. Sort of like how Assembly Square has more sidewalk due to the fountain, but this provides some recess from a flat street front. And the cable car is very eye catching, just like the train around the Monkie Kid City of Lanterns. Great minifigures too. Throwing in a couple of villains every time is great, but most Lego took the chance to bulk up the civilian population we've been longing for. Gayle, Dareth, Cyrus Borg, these types of sets are the perfect place to drop in Antonia, Dr. Julien or Cole's Dad. Most importantly after the Gardens came out, it is just great that we are getting the fourth modular, with hopefully more to follow every 2 years or so. A single baseplate with a Daily Bugle height Borg tower? A single baseplate with a tall fourth floor and a recessed Imperial Throne Room for the Emperor and Empress of Ninjago? It's great that we can mix up the tall single baseplates, corners, 1.5 baseplate straight sections, and now the first double baseplate. Anyone who built the original Ninjago City and was blown away by it loves adding more to this line. Please keep it up Lego!
  3. Ninjago City Markets should be fantastic! I'm assuming like everyone that it's going to be a straight, just the question of 1.5 or 2 baseplates. Based on the number of pieces, I hope they stay with 1.5, as then it can go higher. City and Gardens were amazing with 5 and 5 shops/rooms with towers on top. The Docks always seemed low (and old) with only a 3 2 3 shop/room set up. That gives us a current set up of 5+ 5 3 2 3 5 5+. I hope this can go 3 4 3, as that will add even more to the height of the skyline! And maybe it will also clean up the Tea Shop going nowhere, and look better beside the temple!
  4. That sounds like a fantastic way to add some width and keep costs spread out over a few years. Let's hope we'd end up with a Daily Bugle minifigure situation, rather than the Sanctum.
  5. Great looking new sets. The more sets that can combine with the City of Lanterns, the better! Doesn't look like a lot here can, but hopefully better zooms of the Modular section of the box back will be encouraging.
  6. For people who want a Titan Mech for each ninja, does this complete the set? I mean if you want to count the movie mechs for Kai and Cole? And Samurai X for Nya. Also with more big solo dragons coming with Zane's, following up Lloyd's Golden Dragon and the Water Dragon, maybe fans could have 6 huge dragons over the next few years? My favorite set of the line is the small Kai car. Perfect impulse buy!
  7. Can I ask what the Studgate second chance was? This is great news from Ideas! Now as everyone has said, if it runs on regular track, this will be fantastic. Of course it would be a dream then to be able to order more carriages. Could try try something through a new Bricklink crowdfunding program? 10000 backers, $100 each kind of thing?
  8. I've got the new Winter Village Tram up and running with Powered Up and a color sensor thanks to some suggestions from Zephyr and others in a recent thread. The default Tram scheme on Powered Up has great sounds built in. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how to incorporate the Tram sounds and put them into your own code? Even without access to the Tram sound files, there are some other default train sounds, and I was hoping to make the sounds activate when the tram is driving. Any idea as to how to code the sound to run while other code (motor on, light sensor on) are going simultaneously? Mods, I don't know if this should be a part of my previous thread, or belongs in the Technic thread. Please feel free to adjust as you see fit.
  9. https://www.lego.com/en-ca/product/color-distance-sensor-88007 88007. Thanks again Zephyr.
  10. Hello, I'm wondering where people might be discussing Powered Up coding? I'm trying to add sound to my code so that a motor sound will run when my vehicle is in motion. As well, the new Winter Tram has some interesting stop and start sounds, and I wondered if anyone knows how to bring those in to use made code? Any and all help is appreciated!
  11. Thank you Zephyr, XG, Dr. Spock and everyone very much for the ideas.
  12. Thanks Murdoch and Duq. Both the figure eight idea, and color sensor are worth looking into for sure! Any links I could look out for PU colour sensor that you might know of? Any other ideas are also greatly appreciated.
  13. I'm trying to think of interesting ways to incorporate the new Winter Main Street tram into a village, without using a standard Lego R40 circle or oval. I was hoping to find a reverse loop in R24 so I could run a long straight section and just have the tram loop back on either end. I'm new to third party track, but it looks like some sellers have a huge selection of new curve radii and switches. But I don't see a wye for R24 on TrixBrix. I was hoping someone here would have another idea for running the tram that's not just looping around the table, or know another company that might have some third party solutions? Thanks in advance of December everyone!
  14. I agree the music is fantastic! Do you have a link or video name for the documentary I could search for? Thanks.
  15. Incredible that we're getting so many unique suits for the Ninja in one wave. Each one looks great to me, but I have to say with the higher res images of the Samurai X mech and the trailer, that it's by far the least interesting. Oh well, Oni Lloyd more than makes up for it!
  16. I have heard a lot of people online and in the real world annoyed by these hips. But having a Wolverine again (or any X-Men) is long overdue!
  17. The trailer looks great! So many returning villains, new Ninjas to speculate over and try collect if they ever get made in physical form, and the Water Dragon at the end?!?! The only thing I was disappointed in was the Mech. Didn't look all that sharp, or harken back enough to the previous ones. Hopefully the show (and set) proves me wrong!
  18. Interesting debate, but I think that with Ninjago that Lego has found a hit, and if it keeps on performing, why would they stop it? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but with consistent showrunners, consistent excellent music (even up for an Emmy!), consistent Whips, it just shows that good people doing a good job are still at the helm! Ultimately Maple is right. In addition to the shows, magazines, chapter books, etc, if they consistently can sell wave after wave of fun sets, why not continue? It seems like a clear case of caring creators and engaged fans, even spread out over a decade plus now.
  19. Those 2022 sets look great. I'm really glad this line isn't ending early!
  20. Some early reviews up on Youtube for the 2022 sets. Mods feel free to delete if these aren't appropriate.
  21. Thanks to Ninjago City Gardens, we've gotten more and more Ninjago minifigures that have been requested, like young Lloyd and the Mechanic, plus loads of civlians. If Ninjago City keeps expanding with various sized modulars, hopefully some of these can make it in in physical form! Imposter Ninjas from the start of Sons of Garmadon Harumi (from her civilian time with Lloyd) Emperor and Empress Commisioner Dr. Julian Fuchsia Ninja Burnt Generals Cyrus Borg Cole's parents Young Garmadon Kid Wu Brown Ninja Jay's birth dad Jay's birth mom New Pixal with hair Gayle Gossip Blacksmith Kai from the end of season 10 Mods, there was an old thread for this from 2018 just as a heads up.
  22. Hello, I'm just curious if anyone else is seeing a whole new level of interest in Ninjago lately? Between the Ninjago City Gardens driving prices way up on the original Ninjago City and Docks, to Bricklink prices through the roof on some minifigures, I'm just curious if others are seeing the same? With the episodes on Netflix, Legacy sets on shelves, it seems like this would have been a good time to release the movie!
  23. So many mini-minifigs! If this sells well it could take Lego down a very interesting path. SHIELD Helicarrier, now this, what could be next? That would look incredible on any shelf. It's almost too bad it's competing with Lego's incredible minifig Harry Potter line this year. Incredible progress over the last 15 years for Lego Harry Potter.
  24. Looks outstanding! The Lone Ranger locomotive was great, but this is the best we've had in almost a decade. More sets like this Lego! I hope the Harry Potter & Train fan numbers are enough to make this a big hit, with more steam locomotives to come.
  25. 10 years ago who'd've thought we'd have all these great and redesigned figures blind packed! Great job Lego.
