  1. in case you need windows for those arch bricks 1 x 6, I can help you with that... I use them in my own larger engine shed: I like you version also very much!
  2. I think markers and/or model building paint are best. Not lot of experience, but will have soon, recoloring some technic plug -> axle pegs for train motors (adding the middle wheel).
  3. 1.2V * 9 makes it 10.1 Volt, would probably not be a problem... but I wouldn't recommend going beyond 9V.
  4. reminds me of the Black Cat set (5571)! Nice work!!!
  5. impressive!!! Very, very nice! Keep on Moccing...
  6. Very nice! Like the no smoking one very much ;)
  7. Very nice! Expensive I guess?! Does it have a built in uC with the web server?! That wheel too :) B.t.w. now we should get those wheels from LEGO so the kids can use it in the FLL.
  8. This is the official LEGO one though: LEGO Power Functions RC Version 1.2
  9. It is better to have a Mac ;) apart from that, it seems to me that your specs are fine (although I always ask my high school students about such a things ;)) All parts of the computer add up of course, so the speed of your harddrive, the ammount of memory, the i5 or i7 technology, etc. A graphics drive is important, but not always the most important thing, even with games.
  10. But those stickers are no problem at all, we have nice reproductions that are almost identical to the original ones (and we are about to improve quality soon because of a brand new printer :)) (LEGO also buys them from external printing shops so even for purists it should be doable ;)) @Paddy, nice tip, I immediately bought a set for my new 7760 shunter.
  11. @thebrickster: other colors are also giving it a nice touch of course! I like that 7735 car in green, just like the old railways used to have for a baggage car. I still don't seem to agree with your trans lime front lights of your 7760 recreation though (b.t.w. you knew we have those stickers reproduced on transparent materials didn't you?!)
  12. It is a nice van indeed!!!
  13. We need more accurate 3D printers (at kickstarter there is a nice initiate for one with photo cured resin, too bad that is impossible with ABS).
  14. LEGO compatible?! I use Arduino together with LEGO so you could say that Arduino is (in some ways) compatible, but, how this robot is somehow compatible after looking at your site... Apart from that, it would be nice to first introduce yourself and provide us with some context etc. Update: Ah, I see why it is compatible: so it gives one options to use technic axles etc! That is indeed nice. But what are the advantages to use this robot instead of say Arduino with PF or Mindstorms?!
  15. I might be able to pull that of with reproduction stickers... but it will be christmas holidays since we get our new machine beginning of december and might be selling our current machine next saturday already :)
  16. Hmm, a 'rare' LEGO set, we all have loads of such a 'rare' LEGO sets. I like the 7740 very much. Have had one since I was a child! Some years ago we had a very good deal at Ebay (actually my cousin did, but I went with him to pick it up), a 7740 plus more train stuff like a working red motor. was for about 100€ I think, really a good deal, the people were even amazed it went for 100€ at Ebay... We left them with the illusion, in order not to disappoint them :)
  17. You could of course also computer cut them :) if you are interested in that, I could also maybe 'cut' you a deal ;)
  18. They are cumbersome though, I have created a segment turntable that was very satisfying, but I was not totally satisfied with my normal turntables. They are huge if you want to turn an emerald with tender, and what usage is there if you can't turn your steam engines?! ;)
  19. You better contact LEGO or Jan Beyer (well he is a LEGO Group guy of course!) indeed?!
  20. they are very nice! both of the buildings and the whole scenery as well!
  21. maybe it is the same one, but some German also has a Garden LEGO train: http://www.harrys-modellbau.com/page4.php?view=thumbnailList&category=20
  22. one can also make better uncouplers with that of course (nice for shunting etc).
  23. Not really trains, but a clone brand that could fit in with the trains. BP has an action in Holland with I think Banbao: http://www.bp.com/retail/subhomepage.do?categoryId=9045185&contentId=7078309
  24. hope she doesn't read EB.com then :p Very nice job, like the details, nice colors!!!
