  1. I'm not going to debate you in this thread. In my opinion, your whole justification lost all credibility when you said PT was better than OT. To each his own, though, and our opinions are just that. I don't mind PT in the least. My problem is with LEGO sets made from other series such as TCW and EU.
  2. Just something fun I was messing around with and thought I would share. What if Incom Corp. made starships for the Empire and Sienar Fleet produced for the Rebels? This could be a fun thread to keep going. Post your swap designs!
  3. You could do the scene where the xwing is taking off with the guy in the tower. Lots of trees would be needed.
  4. 76001. Reason - Bane.
  5. His eyes are my favorite part of the whole thing. I want three googly eyes
  6. The thread is dripping with awesome. There is so much awesome in this thread that I don't even know where to begin.
  7. I really like this starship a lot. Everything looks well done with great brick choices. Thumbs up!
  8. We can leave THIS Sandcrawler to the LEGO Town folks! :) :)
  9. I think you will find in a build of this size that you will be making changes as you build it regardless. Might as well tweak it to absolute perfection during the build process. You seem to be a man that is very detail oriented, building it without making the changes will only haunt you later, maybe even after it's too late to do something about it.
  10. I would like a complete lineup of the UCS OT Rebel Starfighters. All that is missing is the A-wing since they made a better X-wing. The Y-wing, B-wing, new X-wing, Falcon, Snowspeeder(although not a Starfighter) and then the A-wing would complete the set. I would be content if they shut down after that.
  11. I noticed it immediately. My eyes were drawn to it, and I couldn't unsee it after that!
  12. Love them all, especially the Falcon. I like the use of the clear bricks for the Y-wing as well.
  13. Perfect, Brickdoctor, thank you! That answer actually made a lot of sense as to why I couldn't use certain bricks to connect the back middle exhaust ports. I had to really think hard as to how to get them connected, but it worked out.
  14. Roger that, and I think at the same time, you answered my other question about the technic hole and if it fits a 1x1 round brick nicely enough. Thank you. When I buy I will try to buy the older thick ones, I am certain I know which ones you are talking about, as I ran into some of them when ordering my x-wing bricks. Just watched the ROTJ Endor space battle, noticed that the middle 4 ports are not engines, perhaps exhaust ports, so I changed their color.
  15. Correct. I will see how it all plays out when I order the parts and put it together.
  16. This is most definitely something I would pay for the instructions for. I sincerely hope LEGO picks this up.
  17. The thing about those pieces. They may go. They are spaced perfectly, however, they don't clip to the steering wheels as the wheels are smaller than the hooks. I thought I might keep them there anyway as extra stability, if there is any. When I order the pieces, I will order 1x1 tiles as well to replace the clips if the clips do nothing. Also, I have a question. Will the holes on technic pieces (the back middle engines, hold those 1x1 round bricks?
  18. Re-worked it some more. Pics below:
  19. Star Wars might just move their business to, dare I say, Mega Bloks! DUN DUN DUUUNNNNNNNNNN
  20. I agree that they are different in the good way where LEGO gives us a different look. And with a little modification they could make a nice and unique display piece instead of just plopping a mini fig on them and flicking missles throughout the house. If I had a son, I would buy these up and have fun building and playing with them together. I give kudos the LEGO for these releases and want to see more. If they make enough ships from OT, I may do a display set.
  21. Impressive! Immediately recognizable.
  22. Isn't the TIE Defender from EU, and not this? Regardless of what it's from, it looks very well done! And as long as the weight of the wings holds up, could make a great piece to build!
  23. Thank you for the advice, guys! I will work on these changes and see what I can come up with. The toughest part is going to be the proportions. There is just not the right kind of bricks at this scale to get the wings just right. I fiddled with ever angles piece to get the correct proportions, but keep the wings thin, and it was a no go, but I might have another idea that I will try tonight. As for the displaying of them, I plan on displaying them each on individual stands for now until I can come up with the money to make a scene. Most likely it will be the Endor space battle from RoTJ. I have only ordered the pieces for the X-wing and Y-wing thus far. I am waiting to be satisfied with what I have with my remaining ships and then BL them all at once.
