  1. Thanks! I'm thinking of doing another one in blue or magenta&white.
  2. An assassin bot inspired by the pop culture image of kunoichi - the legendary female ninja. It is supposed to bear a resemblance to an average cosplayer, its seemingly innocent looks helping the deadly droid to fool its victims. Fast and agile, the Lady Ninja bots are skilled with a wide range of weapons often associated with ninja - most notably, the kusarigama. Capable of killing, stealing and spying, these slinky robots will provide a worthy addition to everyone's droid army! Built in real bricks, K-31 Lady Ninja is currently sitting on my desk. It turned out to be quite well balanced and sturdy. Unfortunately, I have no means to take photos, so LDD screenshots must suffice for now. The renders are only missing a chain and weight for the kusarigama, a pair of kunai daggers from the Zane ZX booster pack and 9448 Samurai Mech stickers on the 2x2 Dark Red tiles on her legs. 3. It looks ok, but it's very blocky. Try using more curved slopes and wedges to achieve a smooth silhouette.
  4. Interesting, didn't know that. Is it a confirmed fact?
  5. Yeah, they are all bent, but the question is: do we have to straighten them to make the models look like they should look like? Or is a straightened blade considered damaged?
  6. I have an issue with a part commobly found in Ninjago sets: http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=98135 All of these blades are bent when out of the box. They are quite flexible, however. Are we supposed to straighten them ourselves? Or are they supposed to be bent like that? Sometimes it provides a nice and aesthetically pleasing effect (f. ex. in 9443 Rattlecopter), but in other sets, like 9448 Samurai Mech and the Golden Dragon, it looks kind of weird. I carefully examined the boxes for these sets, as well as all the promotional photos, and it seems the blades are supposed to be straight. One of the blades from my Rattlecopter somehow straightened itself when stored in a box, packed tightly with lots of other pieces. This makes me wonder: is the piece damaged or not? I've bent it again, but I'm not sure I should have done it.
  7. These are cool! I like the head design, they would be even cooler if their limbs had more articulation (knees, elbows).
  8. Sorry for reviving the topic, but... Please check your Imperial Pilots from the 7915 Imperial V-wing Starfighter set. How many of you have off-center printing on the helmet?
  9. Just wondering... Are the figures in this battlepack Chinese plastic?
  10. Ugh... One of the ugliest minifigures I've ever seen. I'm really happy the theme looks so awful - I can save up some money and buy all the Ninjago sets I need.
  11. Nope, it wasn't released in US only. I remember seeing it assembled on a display at a local store here in Poland. I could just stand there, looking at it for hours. Ah, good ol times... The set was also shown in the catalogues from 1999/2000.
  12. I highly recommend getting the Samurai Mech. In my opinion it's one of the best sets LEGO has ever made - very cool-looking, very poseable and sturdy, clever design, fantastic colour scheme, lots of play features, great minifigs. A solid 10/10.
  13. Hm, hm. Well then, which would look better on display alongside the Samurai Mech, the Wrecking Ball or 9443 + 9455? Which is better value for the money? I can buy either 9457 or 9443 + 9455 with the money I have.
  14. Hello, What I really want in my Ninjago collection is a big, cool-looking and nicely designed snake vehicle that'll go well with the Samurai Mech, so I'm thinking of getting the 9457 Fangpyre Wrecking Ball set. However, I've got a few questions about it: - Is it stable and well balanced? On some photos it seems to tilt forward because of the heavy head. - Are there any major design flaws? I don't really like modding sets, so I only buy those that I believe are the best in terms of design. - Does it look nice with the Samurai Mech on display? How much bigger is it? Thanks in advance.
  15. Oh my! You did a great job on this one! If it was was released as a set, I'd buy it instantly. Any chance we can get instructions?
  16. This sounds like Fabuland on acid.
  17. Whoa, pretty cool! I like the torii and the use of light brick. Interesting technique on the ladder.
  18. Maybe only the spinner piece... The minifig and her weapons are definitely regular quality. The torso's neck has the print mark and the pieces come in a perforated bag, not in the odd rubbery bag chinese pieces usually come.
  19. There is no difference in plastic, cause the 2012 spinners aren't produced in China.
  20. Oh, I get it. Thanks for the explanation.
  21. Those NRG ninjas are CREEPY... I don't really like them.
  22. Wait, isn't Olivia the scientist, not Emma?
  23. Homing Spider Droid was released as a set. See HERE.
  24. Dunno. I don't know what's the item pictured inside the arena, with the green ninja eyes. It seems that there's also a manual inside, similar to those that come with spinners. Oh, and it says '8 pieces' on the package. So: a bandana, 5 pieces to build the arena, a battle card and the mysterious item. I'm not decided yet if I should give it away, keep it or open it to check out the contents. I think I'll eventually open it, as well as the sets, when I'm done with my exams.
  25. My fav shop in the city of Lublin, Poland - "Krzys". The promotional packet is given to anyone who buys Ninjago sets for 14,31USD or more. The packet itself looks like that (on the right): http://humi.home.pl/Sklep/spinery-2012-prezent.jpg
