[REVIEW] 40516 - Everyone is Awesome
greenalfonzo replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Pink should have been a more stereotypically "male" hairstyle. -
I hope it is done in a way so that if you buy 3-4 sets, you can build a single mega castle. 1. Keep 2. Gate house & wall 3. 2-3 towers (diff. designs & wall)

My annoyance is when I missed a cool figure, then when I try to buy it, I can't find it for less than $20 or something on bricklink.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion
greenalfonzo replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not only that, but they could rerelease virtually any of them as recolors and they'd be just as popular. -

Ok then, will there be a Diagon Alley 2 sometime with the Bank, Cauldron, and Borgins/Knockturn Alley? -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

So is this Diagon Alley set an expansion/add on to the one from 10 years ago? That one had the bank, Leaky Cauldron, and Borgin's from Knockturn Alley, none of which are in this set.... -

You might be right. The Viking CMF's helm mold is a perfect copy of Eowyn's. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion

I noticed Hot wheels blind bags have a clear patch the size of a paper punch on a back lower corner of the bag, so if you really want to, you can see what car is in it. -
Making this building *the actual former home* of the Baron makes no sense in the fairground/themepark setting. Even the elevator was the Baron's design?

I really liked this, but am having serious 2nd thoughts about actually getting it. I guess I would really like it to be more an actual haunted house, like others have said. There's enough vertical space to put in another floor without adjusting the structural build, and the elevator could be replaced with a staircase to the attic. The organ would be tricky. Maybe someone will do a really good mod I can follow to take out the ride aspect.

They are also releasing *2* pirate ships this year that both officially convert into a structure/hideout/pirate base after many years without a pirate ship at all. Indeed, you'd think they would have figured out how to space this stuff out a little bit better by now.

LEGO Hidden Side 2020

Super cool castle. Gonna combine mine with the MF one. Annoyed that HS is getting so many cooler sets than Scooby-Doo. -
New LotR action figures make me hopeful for Lego
greenalfonzo replied to lego the hutt's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Just that: the ruins easily pass for the ruins of Osgiliath, and a molded fellbeast was canceled in favor of a more traditional dragon. 6 figs makes for a nice bp as well. They've said they will sometimes use unproduced set designs in future or different lines. -

The new viking helm is a dead ringer for Eowyn's. Color it brown with a little more gold printing and you're there. It's actually possible that the helm is actually a prototype of hers from an old canceled set. There was a rumor that 2013's Dragon Mountain was just a retheme of a canceled Battle of Osgiliath set w/fellbeast. -
I'm sure lego wil sell at least 5x the number of sets by making this an awesome pirate ship that turns into a fort, rather than a fort made from some remnants of pirate ships. I would not have purchased the original ideas set, but can't wait to buy this. As an aside, I was about to buy a playmobil pirate ship for my kids. I bet lego misses out on a lot of sales by not regularly having castles or pirate ships in their line. They wouldn't need entire themes for them to sell well.

If a whole theme is too much right now, I think lego should do a big one-off, Creator 3-in-1 castle set. You could have a traditional lego walled castle design, plus one that is more a large, multi-storied furnished keep, and then a design for a couple smaller, fortified house style designs.

Still a lot of crossover appeal they left on the table with this theme. SD Haunted Castle! SD Pirate Ship! SD Old West Ghost Town! SD Spooky Carnival!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
greenalfonzo replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hogwarts castle is confirmed to be in the next FB film. I vote for that to be the the big direct to consumer set, with the individual fig packs allowing you to populate it from the era of your choosing. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
greenalfonzo replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Lego probably decided to make it a mystery after test screening the new figures with children, and finding that they didn't like the highwayman, and that moms were actually put off by his appearance. I only half kid.- 1,421 replies

If Lego Indiana Jones got rebooted...?
greenalfonzo replied to legosamsonite's topic in LEGO Licensed
They should do a reverse of Indy 3. Start with old Indy and have it flash back to his younger self having the adventure that got him into his current predicament. Seems like the perfect way to introduce a new actor as young Indy. They could even use that technique for a couple films to keep Ford involved.
