mutley777. Don't expect to get a reply from MOCPages anytime soon. The crew is so busy that it rarely gets to reply. I have seen this kind of thing happen before, but that was on LEGO's own gallery sites where the "thief" probably thought a creation was so cool that he wanted to have it on his site as well (It was a 10030 alternate model). I would try to forgive him before jumping his throat just in case he is a young child ho doesn't know better. I would say your case is a little different though given that he actually uses your user name. It is a huge problem with MOCPages that there are all these very young "reviewers". Even those who give 5 stars will often leave an incoherent or good for nothing review. You see way too many hit and runs where the creator of the MOC is left with the trouble. I'm glad that you can delete many of the reviews now, but that doesn't solve the problem with the ratings. Good luck on your case.

Most of you will probably remember PaulC's superb review of Bullet Run (You know, the one where he converted it to minifig scale as well!). You can see that set as a classic LEGO flagship set (like the City airport, fire station or any LEGO space station). These flagship sets do always have some large vehicle (plane, fire truck or mother ship), but there is always another set where you can buy an even larger vehicle. Bullet run has three large trucks, but Night Crusher has the even larger truck. This set cost almost half of what bullet run does (180kr vs. 400kr in Denmark), but with only a single truck, no buildings and 2 smaller vehicles, it seems rather over priced at first glance. The box The box is rather large for a set in this price class. It shows the main idea that the crusher should try to jump over the smaller cars. The content Inside the box you will find a lot of small polybags numbered 1 to 4, a single instructions booklet and a cramped sticker sheet like in all other Racer-sets. The build It takes pretty much no time to build this set. The bags labeled "1" gives you the small car, "2" gives you the crusher, the truck in "3" and finally the trailer and ramps in "4". I'm another one of those people who hate STAMPS and I will only put stickers on pieces that aren't "rare", so I ended up using only half of them. A funny thing to notice is that every unit with small wheels has a spare tire. With 3 of these you can make a small tire wall for the crusher to jump over as well. Vehicles There isn't much to say about the little yellow car. It is pretty basic and has some decals that make it appear damaged. The crusher cleverly uses a roll cage in the back and is pretty solid. It doesn't work too well with the small ramps. I recommend using the larger ramps from Bullet Run if you want it to jump over the small cars. The rig is a little longer than the ones from Bullet Run with a much more massive trailer. The wheels can be taken off of the crusher and the ramps fit into the small hole beneath the wheel rack of the trailer The flags on the trailer are taken down and the chassis of the crusher can be mounted in the back for transport In comparison with the trucks from Bullet run you can see the trucks are built the same way, but the one from Night Crusher is a lot more substantial. Conclusion The truck is larger and has more functionality than the ones from Bullet Run, but I still think this set is too expensive. The ramps don't work well, but the way the crusher is stored is quite clever. Price: 4/10 Too expensive, but that is when compared to Bullet Run. The price seems more reasonable when compared to other sets in this price range. Build: 9/10 Easy and quick. It would be perfect if not for the stickers. There are both STAMPS and very long stickers that are hard to apply. Playability: 7/10 I got most fun out of loading the truck and playing around with it. The main attraction is to make the crusher jump, but the ramps aren't solid enough for that. Looks: 8/10 I think the small trucks look great. You get plenty of them in Bullet Run, but this truck does also look very good when the crusher is loaded onto the trailer. Final score: 7/10 Great looks, easy to build and a nice addition to the Racers range, but the high price and not too well working ramps pulls the score down.

Happy birthday to all of you! I'm curious about what's in the packet from Sinner. Does it rattle?

Yay. I won! :'-) Thanks all of you who have voted for me and congratulations to the other winners as well... and to Johnny 5 for giving Zeki a vote for the ARFF that looks like the most fun one to play with. :-) This was a great competition UniqueBuilder. I hope you will keep it up in the future, although it was a little bit too exciting for my health when it was 10/10 in the ARFF category X-O

What exactly do you mean with this rule? Do you expect pictures to be mailed to you since you have the 72 dpi limit, or is this something you can set in photoshop or similar programs to keep the file size small? I will have to come up with a pretty bizarre idea if I want my current avatar to have a home.

I finally finished mine as well. When it was done I was missing 2 pieces and had 6 large ones too many. After checking the instructions again I found that they were all wrongly placed, so I was clearly too tired when building. In the end all pieces were there. I think I should share what I learned with all of you: - Do not build the falcon in the middle of the night after coming home from a party. You will not only make a lot of mistakes, it will also take a very long time to build (it took me more than 9 hours!) - Do not build this gray model on a gray carpet. - If you attempt to build it on a gray carpet (like I did) and have household pets it is a good idea to clean the carpet before building. My falcon appears to be furry as it is right now. All in all I think this is a fine LEGO model... even though it cost me $874. Let me repeat it for all Americans who think $500 is too expensive: In the homeland of LEGO this set costs 4699kr = $874. Not only is it expensive. I'm also certain we got a late batch with serial numbers of 7000+... and no extra bags of wing pieces. Now. What is up with the extra minifig head in the set?

I'm glad you are not giving up (as I have done in the past). I thought both of your trucks look like fun to play with (as I wrote), but the one with light & sound got my vote because it was the only one having that. You can see that there are quite many with only 1 vote. I think this is mostly because of the few votes that have been cast. The thread has had more than 500 hits, but less than 50 votes!

Happy birthday to both of you! I know UniqueBuilder, but who is languages? Well. I'm only 3 days late! X-D

I forgot to give a link to the Megan I saw with the X-pods. Here are some of her creations. I'm glad you like the review. I see it is better will all big pictures. A big project was finished yesterday night, so I felt the natural thing was to celebrate it with a review of something. Seeing that this set wasn't reviewed in here yet... well :-P Blue with yellow details = Sweden, plane in Sweden = Saab in my view of the world. If it was red, I would say it's a MIG - I know so little about this field :-P If only the windscreen was yellow! *wub* The pod has TrYellow decoration, so it's deffinetly possible to build some Classic Space models... and I'm also pretty sure I have seen it somewhere. 1x1 silver pieces? That alone makes it sound much better than this set! Unfortunately this one was the only one at sale in the shop :'-( A freebie? Are you telling me this looks like an ice cube tray!? :-D Just kidding. I only know about the tray as a freebie from Hinckley's thread. Why didn't I remember to bag build this set? Du'h :-|

After seeing some of X-Pod dragon MOCs from Megan at LEGO Fan-weekend in Skrbk '07, I had to find out what this little product line that I missed out on was all about. Luckily there was a shop that sold this set, so here is a review. The box A nice box design for such a small set. The 3 models are shown. The content 60 pieces (including the ones for the pod) and an instructions sheet is what you find inside of the pod The models The primary model is a small jet. I'm sure it is a Saab from Sweden because of those colors. It has some details like the intake underneath the body made of a wheel The second model is a helicopter where the front can be tilted because of the way it is connected to the rest of the body. I do not like the way the yellow 4L lightsaber is connected to the main body. It is quite hard to pull apart again. The last model doesn't use many pieces, and I'm not quite sure what it is supposed to be, but it uses the pod! Conclusion Overall I like this set. You get pretty many pieces for the money although they are quite small. The models aren't really that great compared to those from the 491x-series, but they are also almost twice the price and you don't get a pod. I'm not sure the set is on sale anymore. It appeared to be a clearance sale where I got it. I can recommend it because of the rare pod-pieces and with such a small price tag it's hard to argue against it. (The Brickshelf gallery)

This has to be the hardest contest to cast votes in I have ever seen on EB. Not only are there many entries, but they all have their good qualities: Engine: Landlubber Has light and sound. LuxorV Awakes some good memories of how LEGO firetrucks looked in the good old days where we had Basic set 735. Zeki Looks like it is great fun to play with being solid looking with many seats. MengShu1985 I thought this was a ladder. It does also look like a fun truck to play with with the many rooms accessible from the sides and a ladder in top. NBFD841 Resembles an American firetruck very well. Simonwillems Resembles the European one he showed in its thread very well. Casewindu Is again one of those that looks like great fun to play with... it even has a hose! Isotope Smooth rendering. And the trucks looks great as well. Sinner Has a good seating solution, but is also the only one to use the larger wheels in this category which makes the base look cool. SpartanML Again one of those very realistically looking models. UniqueBuilder Dared to use the alternative technique for the windscreen which actually is more realistic than the sloped ones for these kind of trucks. I really like the realistic looking ones and those that look like fun to play with, but I'm such a big sucker for light and sound that Landlubber gets my vote. Ladder: NBFD841 There is just something very cool about that front overhang... hard to explain. Simonwillems A Messerschmitt! Awesome! SpartanML Has the alternative windscreen and looks realistic, but does also look like a stable and fun-to-play-with kind of model. UniqueBuilder Is again one of those very realistic looking models. NBFD841 has my vote... there is just something about that overhang. ARFF: Zeki Has one that looks like the most fun to play with. NBFD841 Has a very realistic American looking model. SpartanML I'm pretty sure there can be some light and sound in this one. UniqueBuildre I had actually planned to make an Oshkosh if I didn't get the white windscreen. I didn't get the windscreen... and didn't build an Oshkosh, but I really like the one from Unique Builder - it looks much better than my own interpretation of the vehicle (which is no more). Big wheels,

I picked up the ship in the mail office today and built it as soon as I got home. I was worried about the Qui-Gon head problem, but there was fortunately no problem with that in my set. The instruction booklets on the other hand were folded poorly in the box so they took some time to straighten up. This has been a problem in many of the sets I have received this year. I know LEGO will replace such booklets, but I can't really get myself to report it. (They are aware of the problem)

Thank you everyone. I'm glad you like it so much. It was pretty much ignored when on display in one of the city layouts at the last LEGO fan weekend (in Sk

With UniqueBuilders fire truck competition I finally got to complete this years old airport fire truck (ARFF). It is an Austrian airport fire truck from 1987 which you can see a lot of pictures and details of here It fits 4 minifigs (a driver, medic and two firefighters to man the canon). The doors open upwards like on the real model and the strange looking console in front of the driver is actually also like in the real truck. There are some small details around like the details beneath the lids on the sides and rear suspension, but the main function is without doubt the water canon. The canon is made entirely of LEGO bricks. 4 big pneumatic pumps pump air into the air tank from above. The tank is filled with water which is pushed out through the nozzle. The tank is pretty small and if you use all 4 pumps, it will be emptied in just 2-3 shots. I bought this new airport to show how the canon works, but I'm not really good at these action pics. Try to hold a (slow) camera with one hand while using a home made water pistol with the other and you will understand why the picture is so blurry - this was the best shot out of 10! PS. Should you ever get the same idea of testing your water pistol like me, make sure not to test it up against a radiator - they are really hard to get dry again! :-| (The Brickshelf gallery)

*wub* With lights in the front and all! I'm all for a light, sound or motor competition. Has that kind of competition even been done before? And thanks Sinner. A lot of love towards your model as well - mostly because of the fine detail that doesn't show right away such as place for two minifigs next one another (such as in MengShu1985's firetruck). Did you use jumper bricks or are they just sitting on tiles? (And how did MengShu1985 do it?) Regarding those wheels I actually have the opposite problem. The real truck has quite some ground clearance which makes it look very tall in LEGO.
-
Now you beat me to commenting on you own entry. Thank you, but that is one fine little Messerschmitt! It was instantly recognizable. There is some stiff competition in this contest from City-type trucks to those you see from LEGO-firetruck enthusiast sites! I wanted to have a clear windscreen, but I couldn't get it before deadline. There is also another brick that isn't completely correct in the back as well - let's see if anyone can spot it. Is there a bonus for playability such as light & sound or motors? I love to see a group of firetrucks blinking in a city layout in the evening *wub* (... which makes one wonder why I didn't include it in my own entry.)

V-LF-4F Here is my entry for the ARFF category: Rosenbauer Titan from 1987 Pictures of what's under the skirts, tools, interior, suspension, doors and the water canon in action will be shown later once I have the text, airport and pictures finished... which will be after I have had some dinner :-P

Needless to say, I nod approvingly to everything you everything you said Hinckley... to the reply to my post that is ;-) There is no doubt that this forum has a more friendly atmosphere, especially towards new members than the other one (which I will not mention because that would bring no one any good) and I have no doubt that the administrative staff in here has a more considerate attitude (this doesn't mean less restrictive!). That said, we should always watch out for elitism and other less desirable attitudes and make people aware of it when spotted because such can often happen without the members being aware of how their responses might be interpreted. I think EB is the LEGO fan community with the best to administer issues mentioned, which is one of the reasons I have been staying here. The experiences from the other forum will still be haunting, but I believe the constructive criticism from my part should be slowly developing. One day I might actually respond to our good friend fartface and tell him (in a positive way) that he can easily do much better! X-O
-
To be completely honest, I probably wouldn't reply to his thread. I know it's a terrible thing to do as there is nothing worse than having a thread with your creation silently dump from first page without any replies. It is probably because of my bad experience in another LEGO forum where a new guy posted something he made and everybody acted as if he attacked the community (the work looked very childish, but not at all offensive). I asked people to reconsider that he might actually be a very young member (which he was!), but instead I got moderators on my neck. Now I have the idea that I should always either write some constructive criticism apart from the initial reaction or simply talk about some of the great details if I find everything to be good. To write that kind of response for this kind of creation is hard, so I'm glad you are picking up the topic Hinckley. Thank you. It is always easier if you know the person behind the MOC, but the Internet tends to take away that little piece of help, and I'm sadly too terrified for hurting others peoples feelings by not treading carefully in my replies. People who know me will know that I use self-irony so much that it's bordering selflessness (where I sometimes even mistake insults as if they were sarcastic), but how are you to know that from what I have posted so far in here? Edit Did I go too personal here? Well. It needed to get out.

Sinner. You have convinced me. I bought this set yesterday when it was on sale at International LEGO weekend in Sk
-
Thank you for the review Sinner. At first I wanted this set for the 4 blue 1x1 slope tiles, but I can see there is much more into it than that. It sure is a great value compared to what you get in the Building Bonanzas (no cars and less detail). It was funny to see the little side story in your pictures. Would it be hard to modify the cars to fit minifigs better?
-
It's great to see you keep making these kind of creations Chuck (L2K). I could never make a snowmobile like this because of the kind of connections you use (with minifig hands and "non-clicked" joints), but it is refreshing to see others doing it. Is the gap in the middle by any chance big enough for the minifig to stand on it?
