  1. Green Grocer - 1 Fire Brigade - 3 Grand Emporium - 2 Pet Shop - 2 Town Hall - 1 Palace Cinema - 2 Parisian Restaurant - 1 Some day I intend to use my extra ones to make the standard ones bigger. And the extra Palace Cinema I will sell, because I hate that set...
  2. Oh nice I might actually visit this time, haha. Do you know if there is still room for displaying mocs?
  3. Well, I do believe production and packaging takes places on several locations world wide. So an investment in new packaging equipment would cover all locations, because each set should be identical no matter where it was produced. Also I have to admit I had not even considered resealable bags before reading your posts. I agree it would be nice, especially in the bigger sets. Maybe someone here has connections within the Lego group and can ask if resealable bags were ever considered and if so what aspects they took in consideration.
  4. I would describe those as waves. so: "The 2015 City wave" all the city themed sets in 2015. Or "The Police 2015 wave" which actually is a subtheme but described similarly. Some themes are in production very shortly so they are simply described by their theme name, like the Wolfpack sets. This was a subtheme of Castle but only 4 or 5 sets were released. You don't need to specify the year or which wave because there only ever was one.
  5. I can imagine that the use of resealable, ZipLock like, bags could complicate the packaging process. Now the loose parts fall in a heat sealed piece of plastic en the bag is sealed shut when all parts are in the bag. This is a continuous process, the sealing of one bag creates the bottom of the next bag. To introduce a seal that can be opened and resealed many times would be challenging and might not even be cost effective in smaller sets. This could be cost effective when done for the more high end sets, but then a separate packaging machine could be necessary... And those aren't cheap... So in all, I think the highly automated packaging process of Lego sets calls for simple packaging methods. And please, its Lego not Legos. This implies that you have little knowledge of the Lego world beyond the bedrooms of children and people here might not want to take you seriously when reading this topic.
  6. Its the torso with the stripes. And the bike has a solid stud.
  7. The current brick separator is made from plastic softer than regular bricks to reduce damage done to regular bricks when separating. This would make it difficult to create a separator that can also be considered a "regular" part...
  8. Financing is the main issue I guess... One advice I can give is to not buy sets for the parts, you will end up with many parts that you will rarely use... Order parts from BL, you will get more use full parts for your money.
  9. Wow this is great! You did an awesome job Very nice you put a decent staircase in there!
  10. You can export a parts list from LDD. The option to buy your LDD creation is something of the past... It was fun though, when you built something huge and then check the price
  11. Very nice! I do notice that some of the baseplates dont line up perfectly, a possible solutions is to use plates larger than 1x1 to be placed across the seams
  12. Very well done! You can just hear him shouting at the smurfs, haha And very nice use of snot techniques!
  13. Just been playing for two hours! Everything is awesome in this game!
  14. Thanks! The entire Tan base is SNOT, just look up the technique on flickr its not very difficult. The ridge is indeed a bit to uniform, well spotted. Im not going to change anything to it anymore. I will keep it in mind for the next build! Thanks! I have been looking at the scene after reading your comment, and you might just be right! It is hard to tell, lets hope for a closeup in the movie! Thanks! Yeah, not gonna happen I am afraid. I was thinking of using a forced perspective trick, but that just got to complicated.
  15. Hi everyone! Glad to be sharing my new Star Wars moc with you! The crashed X-Wing form one of the first scenes in the new trailer Check out more on Flickr!
  16. Awesome creation! We are seeing to few HP creations lately so this is just wonderful!
  17. Its not much but here are some more images. I mean to do a proper photo shoot sometime...
  18. Yes, really (confirmed by Lego). Well when you apply enough force I suppose it could cause damage.
  19. Just a quick fact ;) The orange brick separator is actually made from softer plastic than regular Lego parts. This is done to prevent damaging the regular Lego parts with the separator.
  20. The latest setup at Lego World Utrecht 2014 Flickr
  21. Ha! Nice work on this, really like the comic style post
  22. Those trees really look great! I have to build some like that
  23. Awesome Ent you have got there!
  24. I miss all the excitement that surrounded the books, movies and the Lego sets. I only have 2 or 3 sets, but I did manage to obtain almost all the minifigures. Also I miss the HP Mocs, but I am trying to fulfill my HP needs by myself. I am currently building this:
  25. Sweet! This could easily be a set. Also very nice rock work
