I love this diorama you've really caught the hustle and bustle of Mos Somewhere. It's a nice crisp shot too, except for some reason my eye is drawn to the picture of a duck in the background.

I'm exactly the same as KDM - I always keep my official sets and MOCs. I use LDD to design MOCs then order parts from BL. If I ever need to 'borrow' a piece from an official set I replace it at a later date. It would be so much cheaper to take apart my sets but I just can't bring myself to do it. Here's the link to download LDD manager. Link.. I'm fairly sure I read recently that Superkalle was updating it to create a wanted list on BL - but don't quote me on that. Unfortunately I don't think there's a version of LDD Manager for Mac -
They do say that 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree'. I think some adults would be pleased with a mini-MOC as good as this. You must be very proud.

Just noticed you put a message on my Profile page - have to admit, I didn't even know we could do that :-D Going away for a Xmas break 2morro (weather permitting). Have a good Christmas!
-
I'm not keen on the Tauntaun, but I don't mind the Wampa fur (although it does look a bit like something out of Scooby-Doo). I'd be happy with Wampa style fur, just more of it.
-
I would love a bantha too - but in this case I'd prefer a moulded version. I think it would be difficult to get the hairy texture right on a brick-built version, although there are some good MOCs out there.
-
That picture never ceases to amuse me. Maybe Porkins would've avoided the debris had he not been so intoxicated? Thanks, you could download the lxf and add this to your amazing collection. (I can't find an emoticon for jealousy to insert here). Thanks guys. I'll be absent for a short while so 'Happy Christmas to all...'

I think that's a good idea, a brick-built rancour would be more interesting than a smaller moulded version. Although, I think people are expecting/hoping for a Jabba's Palace playset which probably wouldn't include something this big

KielDaMan’s Star Wars Creations in LDD
Praiter Yed replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's a very thoughtful early Christmas present KielDaMan and all neatly wrapped in lxf form . It must have taken you quite a while to complete all these - and sometimes not using illegal connections can be very challenging. Also, congratulations on your Grand Duke-dom. I'm going away for a Christmas break tomorrow so I'll take this opportunity to wish You and Yours all the best for the Holiday Season - Have a good one! Regards, 'Praiter' -
Thanks, I suppose they could easily do something like this, there's no illegal connections - but maybe all the cheese would be expensive? Plus not sure where the flick fires would go ? Thank you. And I'm with you on the whole Dalek re-design issue . The bad flier toss-ins are there, but they were unintentional . Poor Porkins, maybe he'd been drinking General Dodonna's booze before the attack on the Death Star too. Oh yes, - it's cheesey. Cheesey poem & cheesey MOC.

[Review] 7930 Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship
Praiter Yed replied to 501st Commando's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review. I quite like this ship, If I had money to spare I'd possibly break my OT obsession and buy it. I particularly like Aurra Sing's hair. But this raises questions for me - I've not seen any of CW Season 3 yet, but as far as I know these bounty hunters only appeared once. Does this mean they're likely to make a comeback? Or did big George insist on having this set because the episode was inspired by his beloved Seven Samurai. I sort of hope that this set is sat on George's desk and he swooshes it when nobody else is looking. -
I hope this is one of the acceptable type of bumbs - especially as it's on my own topic! I ordered all my cheese from BL and can now show the brick-built version. It's still missing two 1 x 8 tiles but I won't be ordering them for a while, and it would be ridiculous to update this topic after Christmas.
-
Thanks for the good review. I'll probably buy this just because it has four Mandalorians and four nice new blasters. The speeder and turret don't interest me and they don't even look that good for spare parts. But, it's a cheap set so no complaints. Parents may want to put Mando heads on the mantelpiece to keep their kids away form the fire .

I'm shocked. We should thank our lucky stars here in the UK! Here's a little reminder for you guys; Han shoots first Boba Fett is not from New Zealand and Hayden Christensen is not in RTOJ EDIT: I suppose I'm going way of topic above. So I will add that I asked a while ago here if anyone had ideas when 10188 Death Star would be deleted. I've seen posts since mentioning that it was 'limited availability'. S@H UK now says back-orders accepted -expected ship date 12 Jan 2011. I can't imagine this means there will be a further production run - so I'm guessing stock may be shifted about from other countries. Anyone have experience of this? and is it a hint that it may soon be deleted? -

They released a collectors tin here a few years ago. Me and my nerdy friends rushed out and paid top-whack for it because it was promoted as the ONLY time you will EVER be able to own the OT in it's original format on DVD. But subsequent releases have continued to contain both versions of the films - and it's currently on sale for £10 at ASDA (that's $16 and ASDA is owned by Walmart). -

In the UK the DVD box sets contain both versions of the films - are they not available in the US? If not, that sucks. I refuse to watch the new versions, I've not really got anything against them - it's a nostalgia thing. On the Landspeeder box-art the sentry droid is pictured as part of the minifig line-up - so I suppose TLG must consider it to be a minifig. -
I'm sure you're right. Plus it's possibly selfish to think otherwise, a set containing those items at around £22 would be perfect for anyone who didn't have the Battle OF Endor set. And as you say, a great army builder also.
-
Wouldn't it be better if TLG brought something new to the mix rather than giving us another catapult, another glider probably another speeder bike? Although I have to admit, I'm not sure what 'something new' could be. A pile of logs would be more exciting to me than the same-old, same-old. Plus since when have TLG totally ignored cannonicity in favour of... oh hang on, what am I saying
-
That's easily fixed, using sticky tape mask the areas of print you want to keep then with a cotton bud dipped in brasso - rub Leias boobs vigourously (The hips just look like creases). I think we definitely need more Ewoks, more Rebel troops and yes, more Stormies - if this set is anything like 7749 Echo Base, and the price suggests it is, we could be looking at 5-6 figures which leaves a lot for TLG to choose to put in. The title makes me doubt there'll be any Rebels though. But who knows what might come for ROTJ anniversary (I'll leave that for another thread).

I really like to see brick-built weapons for Stormies but Han's is a must have!

KielDaMan's JSF Collection Version 2.0
Praiter Yed replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm also not a huge fan of this type of starfighter, I much prefer the ones used in ROTS (ETA2's?). But my daughter has Ahsokas' JTS and I can see what you have done here is a vast improvement on TLGs efforts . I also really like the results you're getting from spray painting - I imagine doing all the masking is a painstaking process? Very impressive - I wouldn't have the guts to spray my Lego. My vote goes to Plo for the most striking graphics. -
Nice to see a review of this set so early - thanks The new Gungan print looks ace - the back is even better than I'd previously thought. I will have to buy this set because my daughter loves Binks ! But the carrier will just sit in her wardobe until I steal it for parts .
-
Whooooaa, I've just made a cup of tea while those pictures loaded . I had to look this up as I'm not overly familiar with the vehicles of the PT & CW but it looks like a top-notch representation to my untrained eye. EDIT: I see while I've been typing and brewing up you've tried to sort out your pics. There's info on how to resize images here.

Hidden Mountain Base MOC
Praiter Yed replied to alienwar9's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Wow, that's huge - 13,000 pieces huge! At first it reminded me of the scene near the end of Close Encounters where they come down off the mountain and find the hidden base - even though it doesn't really look like that scene . But then I looked at the rest of the pics with the mountain interior - amazing, well done.
