  1. I now have a 91mbps connection at the university I go to and a 28mbps connection whenever I go home, so the images don't bother me that much now. Before a couple months ago, though, when I had a pathetic 300kbps connection, there were quite a few times when I did wish that they were text instead of images. (I ended up opening the images in new tabs and bookmarking the Photobucket pages.) I think text-based would ultimately be the more versatile and flexible option of the two, if I had to pick one.
  2. Yes, control of the planet for future free builds is awarded to the winning faction, even if the planet was previously controlled by another faction. (In this case, Tatooine was part of the initial free build lineup to give you some variety in a neutral system; now that it's seeing military action, it can logically be awarded to one faction. [Even if that faction might realistically have a hard time enforcing their rule.])
  3. Dastan Final Battle mechanics are the same as hex mechanics, just with different units and different types of spaces. Both the Dastan Final Battle and the Hex Battles are directly developed from the Bric'bay Fort Battles.

  5. Correct. But background elements are not exempted from your parts limitations.
  6. "This seems fairly straightforward." I move to follow Atramor to the bar.
  7. You should be able to make your sig-fig with normal LDD Extended (without the custom palette), save it as a separate file, and then import that into your entry file that uses the custom palette. (I think it's File>Import Model or Tools>Import Model or something like that — I can't check at the moment.
  8. As a result of that, by the way, when your entries are judged, any difference between the old greys and their new bley equivalents will not be considered, because it wouldn't be an effect you could attain with only the bleys in the set. This could work in your favor (If you want a cleaner entry but don't have enough of one type of grey or bley, for example.) or it could work against you (If you try to subtly distinguish between two objects or if you want to weather something, for example.).
  9. If it's not in the listed sets, then you cannot use it.

  12. Eh? "Hold's dead fish up to ear"? That's what I thought at first. But it doesn't make much sense.
  13. Free-builds can of course be built from any bricks you like. They don't even have to apply to the storyline of this episode (provided they comply with the other free build rules, of course.); the episodes are just timing mechanisms for how often you can build free builds.
  14. One of each set. No, the Rebellion as a reward for winning Episode I can use those pieces in addition to the normally-allowed pieces.
  15. Planets Series 4 is unfortunately not being released in the US; TLG said the demand was too low.
  16. Your sig-fig is a minifig, so at least that portion of the build would need to be minifig-scale. There're ways to incorporate other scales, though, like holograms or forced-perpsective.
  17. "Will they attempt to combat us? Most certainly. The Mopag High Council has no representatives here so far as I can tell, and Warlord Kaherdin's goal is to conquer the city for himself. If we defeat the Pongcanae, he will simply have one fewer enemy to conquer, and he could still tell his superiors that he did everything for the sake of keeping safe the settlement to the north. I doubt any of his lieutenants would tell the High Council the truth; they'd be in position to become land owners if the Mopag take over R'kilf. "Are we prepared to liberate the city from them...probably not. They outnumber us three to one. Our best chance lies in the fact that the Mopag are not strategists, and the elves control a fortification prepared to withstand years of siege. I believe that our leaders should stay in the keep to bait the Mopag into attacking it, while our men wait somewhere else to trap them where the elven archers can finish them." "Of course; I will leave judgment on how to proceed to you, the experienced heroes." "I believe that the plan, milady, is to allow the elves to pin down the Pogs while we advance; it was necessary for Lady Nerwen to order us held back during the last advance to ensure that the elves were in range." QM Note:No, sorry, this battle's mechanics supersede the powers they have in regular battles, just as you the PCs can't use your heroes' abilities.
  18. QM Note: Sorry! I don't mind responding, but I had been busy enough that I wasn't paying attention to things outside of battle actions while running the Rounds. "We are knights of Patuqun, as you know; our order has ruled our kingdom for centuries, in the cold lands far to the north-west. Anyone who aspires to rise in rank joins our order. I was born into a ruling family from the southern coast of our land; members of my family who have the resilience to become knights do so out of necessity, for our borders are constantly under attack by Pongcanae." "And I was Sir Abârlômi's squire, the first of my family to become a knight, though we have a long history of lordship and service chronicling the histories of our kingdom." "I am not a lord nor of any significant heritage, merely Kadarphazân's lieutenant." "Although Bur'dazgar is in fact the most experienced knight in our ranks. He will become the next head of our order." "And as our current leader, Sir Kadarphazân will be our next king. In Patuqun, the knights control the politics. The kingship and the position as head of the order of knights is not hereditary; the leader of the knights chooses his successor, and the king is succeeded by the head of the knights. Sir Kadarphazân may have come from a noble family and grown up in the capital, but he like all other knights has attained his position through prowess in battle."
  19. "It looks like we have them surrounded." "We've run up against the city wall; there aren't any more of the beasts here." "There's the commander of the guards, with crossbows waiting. Lord Feraev, Lady Nerwen, shoot them down!" 20. QM Note: Ah, my bad, sorry, Sandy. Although in regards to the movement, if you don't attack, then Elven Warriors A have to attack instead of moving, and they're not powerful enough to kill the Pogs in one hit, so instead of the situation you have now, you'd just have your troops a little farther south-east and the Pogs still alive, and it'd take longer to maneuver into position even without your blocking CK's men. In any case, I'm going to auto-move a bunch of troops now, so it doesn't really matter. Sorry, again!
  21. OoC: Sorry! I follow the other heroes.
  22. Yes, they've changed them before. I remember there was a big outcry a couple years ago when they took Qunilan Vos out of the T-6 shuttle and replaced him with generic CW Anakin.
  23. Yes, it appears so, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get a chance to explain himself here.
  24. Welcome to EB. I'm sorry, I don't see what the purpose of this post is; can you please explain it?
  25. No, EB is an AFOL forum, and we have standards for posting based on that fact. We have rules on this forum for reasons, and one of those rules is to stay on topic in order to maintain the readability of topics. We have different topics with different purposes, and the posts I have addressed above do not fall within the purpose of this topic.
