  1. I agree that the concept of more advanced Wookiee technology makes perfect sense. After all, we know they're excellent engineers, and all we saw in Sith were atmospheric craft. The problem is that coloring and shaping of this design look nothing like anything we saw in the OT, so it doesn't look believable as something that they would have developed following the lead of the rest of the galaxy. On the other hand, it doesn't fit in at all with any of the previously seen Wookiee technology — it's tan instead of brown, it's bulky rather than long and thin, its curves are neither flowing nor elegant, it looks like it's trying to look like a fat bird instead of the melding of a tree and an insect — so it also doesn't look like something they developed entirely on their own. It just doesn't fit in no matter how I try to rationalize its in-universe creation.
