Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share
Brickdoctor replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
You recall that you were told before the first battle that mounting (equipping) a Horse doubles one's rate of movement. However, it does take a Turn to mount and another Turn to dismount. -

"These are the only bottles of rum in the fort. I swiped them from Sir Lawrence's room when he was inspecting the Gatehouse." The cook hands you three bottles of rum. QM Note: I'll assume that this is rum with a high enough alcohol content to burn for a long enough period of time to do damage. -

QM Note: You could've just asked for a barrel. Sure, it'd be a huge Fire Bomb, but there's nothing wrong with a bigger explosion, right? But in any case, if you read back through the quest, (not that I expect you to, considering the length) I had stated that there were no more ingredients for Fire Bombs. You'll need to find some ingredient other than honey. (I can think of one - but I'm not telling ) Though you could use gunpowder, if someone wants to go and make more of that. It'll take a lot of gunpowder to fill a barrel, though. -
Considering your terrible luck with the die in Quest 4, Tanma, I think you're going to need as many one-hit knock outs as you can get.

I think this has been discussed before, somewhere in the past of this topic. The one-year requirement is to ensure that recipients are dedicated enough to keep coming back to the Star Wars forum, while the post count measures activity. I had two hundred posts in a couple weeks, I think, and I didn't get my tag until fifty weeks and four thousand posts later.

You see some small fish, some frogs, and a couple birds who flee as you approach, in addition to the expected plethora of small arthropods. At your suggestion, Arthur goes to the top of the Lookout Tower and sweeps the surrounding area with his telescope. He reports seeing some movement in the forest, as well as humanoids moving in the distance to the east. -
Why? It should remain C-canon, since it was overridden by a source of higher canon, not replaced by a source of the same level of canon. Anything not contradicted by the new series will remain canon. Remaking the series would probably cause an even bigger mess of the timeline.

You recall that the catapult was assembled with nails and is driven by counterweight - no rope was used. Rather, you used one piece of rope rigging the Fire Bombs. (and it was, obviously, destroyed in the fire that followed) -

QM Note:Not that I plan to hinder your plans with something so trivial as exact amount of rope, but I believe you have at least three pieces still. -
I'm pretty sure that the sad truth is that the definitive chronology will just be CW using its T-canon status to overrule everything else. (and I think parts of the older series could even be demoted to S-canon or N-canon status because of that, if enough is changed)

I disagree, and not just because I'm going to be a Warden. The Warden is not going to be invincible. Really, it has a more vulnerable special than that of the Knight. The Knight not only blocks attacks, but it also can't take any Damage while doing so. The Warden, on the other hand, can be Knocked Out defending the rest of the group.

A backup melee weapon actually isn't a bad idea. I picked up an SP: 5 shield in Quest 14, so maybe I'll use the money towards a weapon.
-
I'm fairly certain that the doubled HP only lasts for 1 Round.I think the Warden at first glance seems underpowered because it's a very balanced class. It appears to be a defensive class with the defensive special ability and the ability to wield shields, but it mostly retains the offensive support nature of the Ranger.

Happy birthday, guys! I couldn't find a good Buzz Lightyear cake, but since you're a fan of The Clone Wars, Oky, the two of you can share this LEGO Clone Trooper cake: I'd wish for you to get lots more LEGO, but I'm not sure if mutley needs more minifigs.
-
Wardens draw all attacks to themselves the way Sentinel does, but they get doubled HP instead of guaranteed invulnerability.

QM Note:K-nut already gave it to you and it's already listed in your inventory. -
The ninja headdress is a dead giveaway.

Thormanil's going to be a Raider?

The little arrow ( ) denotes new posts made since you last read the topic, and applies to all topics, including locked ones. (actually, to be more specific, it's a link that takes you to the first post you haven't read, but it serves the purpose of letting you know if a locked topic has a new post) Cam, he means that he'd like a second Locked icon, the way the normal icons have a faded out version displayed when you've read a topic. (from to , for example)

You realize that while it is disgusting, the buckets of urine, would, upon impact, only deal 2 Damage. They would be useful for putting out fires. Urine's primary use in ammunition would require a process taking several months.Buckets of human feces, on the other hand, would still deal only 2 Damage, and there is a small chance that they could deal the Poisoned effect, but it would take at least a day for the elves to be weakened by that effect, by which time they would have killed you if you hadn't killed them first. You throw a bunch of various things together into a cauldron. The mixture promptly explodes in your face. Your carelessness results in your taking 1 Damage. QMs just have to have lots of spear-wielding enemies, then. But yeah, it might be overpowered. Maybe I'll make the existing horses better versions, and use weaker versions for later drops. (if there are any)

Yes. And I think I've changed my mind; you can go ahead and use them in this Quest if you want - provided you use them outside the fort.

Someone went through some of the coding for testing, and uncovered this: Thousand Shot A deadly mechanical bow and a marvel of technology. Range 7.2, damage 50-70 - same as heavy crossbow, but has 250% rate of fire and higher projectile speed. I'm not sure how he figured out what it looked like, but if this comes out, I want. 250% rate of fire is like a machine gun. Also, now that HP and (in testing) MP are maxable, there are new graves for 7/8 and 8/8 characters: Also, guild icons have been changed again. Initiates got back the shield and Members got back the dagger, while Officers now have a flag and Leaders have a crown.
