(example statement of action: "Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha targets enemies in front of the East Wall") Explosive arrows have a 50% chance per target of exploding violently and imparting a Burning effect, causing the target to lose 2 Health per Round until the fire is extinguished. Note: The Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha must take a Turn after each attack to reload - this need can be eliminated by assigning a second Operator to the weapon. You pick up the burnt cloak. It's blackened and has multiple large holes in it. Pieces crumble and fall off as you touch it. You realize that dropping stones on an enemy would deal 2 Damage, while the boiling water would deal 5 Damage and 3 Damage to other nearby enemies, and the oil would deal 10 Damage and 5 Damage to nearby enemies.
  2. Permadeath does take some getting used to, but the game is designed to make it easy to get back up and keep playing if you know what you're doing.

  3. You find a tag inside the cloak. It reads,Made from 100% Elven Mooncloth Product of Brobric Hand wash in cold water with similar colors (SP: 500; WP: +250; suitable for NPC Brobric Elves QM Note: No, there is no way for you to make use of the cloak's power. So don't try.
  4. You take one of the cloaks. As William is trying to dry out the wet one, you choose the muddied one over the burnt one. You dry out the cloak by setting it out in the wind. When it's dry, it is just as smooth and flexible as it was when it was first woven.
  5. You can't really tell what kind of wood your bow is made of. It's sort of a more muted color than that of the trees in the forest; worn smooth and dirtied in multiple spots from use. You can't see any elves through the Telescope, but it occurs to you that it's too early to expect to see signs of the next attack. Both Archers' quivers are empty. One bow has snapped in two; the other is irreparably burned. The Archers did not wear cloaks, but those of the Scouts are simple pieces of brown cloth, though they are exceptionally light and feel silky, despite the fact that one is burned, one is drenched in water, and one has been trampled and covered in mud.You stack up all the heads. The ones you can find, that is. The head of the Warrior that Althior disintegrated is nowhere to be seen.
  6. Results of Round Ten of the Battle of Bric'Bay Fort: >William Harkenshire vs. Elven Warrior A - Hit Xander Unth'or moves to the South-West Tower. >Arthur Justus Regulus VII vs. Elven Scout - Critical Hit >Isabella del Toboso vs. Elven Warrior A - Miss >Arasmyth RuGard vs. Elven Scout Elven Warrior A - Critical Hit >Althior Emorith vs. Elven Scout Elven Warrior A - Damage Spag Bitterstalk moves to the South-West Tower. >Alexandre le Chevalier vs. Elven Warrior A - Miss >Arasmyth RuGard vs. Elven Scout Elven Warrior A - Critical Hit You watch the elves make a desperate attempt to breach the fort, but it's probably too little, too late as you move in for the kill. William, you fire an arrow straight and true at the Warrior, but he blocks it easily with his shield. Xander and Spag, you sprint into the South-West Tower, eager to join the action, while Arthur, you loose a mighty Great Spell that flash-freezes the Scout in ice before dropping him off the wall and to the ground, where he shatters, taking 8 Damage. Isabella, you throw your dagger at the Warrior, but at such a great distance, you Miss. Arasmyth, Althior, and Alexandre, you fire multiple attacks in the direction of the Warrior, but, in a display of elven prowess, he dodges or blocks every single one. "We have them now!" Only one elf remains. The battle continues... Enemies: Elven Warrior A Type: Humanoid Level: 5 Health: 20/25 Special: Take Cover - The Elven Warrior crouches behind his shield, preventing him from taking any Damage next Round. The Warrior manages to dodge all of your attacks, William, Arthur, and Arasmyth. But, just as he spins around find his next attacker, Althior, you blast right through his shield and send him flying off the wall, where he disintegrates in midair, taking 24 Darkness Elemental Damage. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! All party members gain a Level of XP, except for Althior and Xander, who gain half a level, so update your signatures accordingly. The enemies drop two Horses. Party Leader, how will the spoils of the battle be divided? Horse x2 - Doubles Damage against enemies that don't wield spears. Grants assorted bonuses to movement, depending on the QM. "Nice work. Sir Leonard thinks the elves are going to increase the intensity of their assaults considerably after this defeat, so you'd best decide how you're going to prepare for the next battle."
  7. Yeah. If forgot the wink in that post.
  8. See here. I really need to learn to pay attention when I fight. I went into a UDL giving it half my attention, lagged, and died by vampires. Grunts that I usually kill in half a second, too.
  9. I don't mean to minimod, but we have a rule that states, And I think that no matter what you believe, and with respect for other people's beliefs, any real-world religions should be kept out of Heroica in the interests of avoiding a debate (or worse) concerning religion.
  10. Oh, terrific. Time travel is the one thing I feel has always ruined any sci-fi series that wasn't originally built around it. (Back to the Future remains awesome because it was originally a time travel series) I never liked it in Star Trek, and if this rumor is true, I'm definitely not going to like it in Star Wars. Besides, if you succeed in killing Vader, then you're stuck in a loop. And if you go into an alternate timeline, then everything just gets messy. And if you do kill Vader, then in that alternate timeline, Vader can't kill Dooku, so Dooku and Palpy take over the galaxy together (according to the plan before Anakin was discovered in Menace), Dooku will fail to overthrown Palpy (I think that much is obvious), Vader will never have Luke or Leia, the Rebellion dies out as the Death Star blows planet after planet up, Vader can't kill Palpy, and, in the end everything gets worse. N-canon.
  11. I depends on the animal and what I'm using it for, but I usually prefer the older, stylized ones. No matter how I build, generally whatever structures I build will never have the same smoothness and curvy-ness as the newer animals, and to me, that blockier feel makes things seem like LEGO. Using older style animals makes them fit in better with what I build. (same for minifigs - I generally go for older style printing and the three basic parts, and then add on some newer accessories)
  12. Soloing a dungeon is when you complete it without any help from anyone else at any point. Also, Red Star is mine!
  13. I don't think the Regulator is going to be too happy if you do that.
  14. Ouch. Bags have a time limit on the ground before they disappear. It's why I pick them up ASAP when I do that, and I also trade my mules whenever possible. Also, an update from testing: Coral Juice. I like. A balanced potion, perfect for someone who loves Necros. Too bad it's going to be found in a higher level dungeon. Also, Pollen Powder is now a group 100 MP restore, instead of a weaker version of Snake Oil. (group 100 HP restore) I like. Good for dungeon runs when Priests run out of MP. ...and I had my first true lag death today. Was running a UDL with a couple other players, and Septavious hit me with the little brown dot attack. I had only moderate lag, but it was enough for me to miss the cloud of brown dots headed my way. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have gone into a UDL while Fame Farming. It was only a loss of about four Speed (and the 75+ Fame), but now I've exhausted my store of T8 Daggers and need to decide if I want to bother buying more. The only other class I haven't gotten to 150 Fame is Warrior, and I hate sword classes.
  15. QM Note:I'm not sure what the rules are concerning this, but since you chose a dagger as your weapon, I think it would be okay if you attempted to throw it. (it'll just take a long time to retrieve it) I've been out all day, but I'll try to update this Quest ASAP.
  16. That's hilarious. For future players who come along and read this after your title's been changed, the title is Benji! Did you hear? I'm a Bwobwic Human.
  17. I think I prefer it to your old name, too. It's still a licensed character's name, but - no offense intended - 'JediAnakin' sounded like something one of the kids on MOCpages might pick.
  18. No surprise there. If I get this set, it's going to be for the minifigs. I don't really expect another 8038.
  19. Indeed. T-Canon was created specifically for the CW show, which is why I think that when the writers promise that everything will make sense at the end, they're really just saying that they're going to replace things with a higher level of canon in CW.
  20. Nice. Did the Dex Pot drop for you? They only drop in Sprite World, and I can never figure that dungeon out. (as compared to the more difficult UDL, which I can pretty easily solo with my usual Necromancer)
  21. I feel guilty for not being as active in this forum as I could've been. Thanks for all your hard work, ISC.
  22. Um...so did I. You guys can reheat them and use them for the next battle.
  23. Well, like I said at the beginning, the Quest is set up so that it will be unwinnable if you don't make improvements to the defenses. That time in between is for the planners to plan and the inventors to invent. Yes, there will be a boss. Excellent, excellent. I'd love to see even more strategy applied to this.
  24. Oh, come now. All you have to do is call him K-Nut. On a more game-related note, do any of the players feel that Quest 17 is too much thinking, too much strategy, and not enough straight-forward action? I know it's a lot more complicated than your average battle. Just thought I'd ask for some mid-Quest feedback here.
