LDD in Linux (Wine)
Brickdoctor replied to cortman's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I once had it installed on a virtual machine running Linux, though I've since deleted the machine because I really didn't need it and it was taking up precious disk space. I don't remember how I installed it, but I remember I had some trouble until I reinstalled it using the root admin account. Not much to go on, but maybe that tip will work for you. -
GM Note:No. You started with 10 HP and you Leveled up three times. 10+3=13. Results of Round Four of Brickington vs. Elmfyre: >Jeaux Elmfyre vs. Sir Brickington - Critical Hit (((5+1)x2)-4=8 Damage) Sir Brickington vs. >Jeaux Elmfyre - Sentinel Jeaux, you see Brickington about to raise his shield to assume the Sentinel position, so you decide to act quickly, pushing him back with your boot and giving yourself room to fire another arrow that finds its way past his armor and takes the Knight down. Jeaux Elmfyre is victorious! Both combatants do not gain XP and have their Health and Ether fully restored. Consumed items are not replaced, so update your signatures accordingly. Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

"Wait, Master Emorith! With my Aura up, there's no reason for you to risk attacking the Aquaphant, even though you're Lucky. Aura is useful for us in this battle, and I'd hate to be Jinxed. Take Shy Shell A instead; you can team up with Master Nihai to try to finish it off." "Master Nihai and Master Unth'or, you two should switch Shy Shells so that Master Nihai can Stun the one that isn't Stunned and Master Unth'or can cause massive Damage to the one that has more Health." I attack the Gloom Widow from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -

Of course, but you don't get the consumables back when the duel is over.

OoC: I wanted him to try to Poison a different Shy Shell. OoC: For some reason I read that as, "All attacks against the Shy Shell next Round will Miss." I attack the Gloom Widow from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -

OoC: Why did Xander have a Critical Hit replaced with a Miss? -
"There was no boss down either road. I spent the last few years building up an immunity to long quests."
-
Heroica dice don't even have the same possible results as Heroica RPG battle dice; use a normal d6. (or Random.org's die roller)
-
Because the boss comes from the Ziegfried family, as everyone knows. And the Ziegfrieds are entirely composed of wizards. And Ziegfried wizards are used to having people not trust them, as the QM is not trusted by us. So we can clearly not choose the road in front of the NPC. Yes, the Ziegfrieds, and the QM must've suspected we would have known the boss's origin, so we can clearly not choose the road in front of us.
-
All right, where is the boss? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both walk down a road, and find out who is right and who is dead. But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of you. Are you the sort of man who would put the boss battle down his NPC's road, or his PC's road?

"Master Emorith, take the Aquaphant. Master Carvenhall, Master Unthor and I will take the Shy Shells, and Master Nihai can take that Remedy. Master Carvenhall, switch to one of the other Shy Shells; the one you've been targeting is of course already Poisoned." I attack Shy Shell C from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -
I think it was to organize all the conditional actions.
-
Oh, I see. Not how I imagined the effect would work and not how I think it logically should work, but okay.
-
Yes, I know, that's why I mentioned Free Hits and said "hero or enemy". It works the same way against both. A Slowed enemy cannot act against a hero every other Round, just as a Slowed hero cannot act against an enemy every other Round. And for both heroes and enemies, the Hastened and Slowed effects cancel each other out.
-
Yes, Slowed is only supposed to work every other Round. When I created the effect, the intent was that it was the opposite of Hastened, so it only decreases the rate at which the hero or enemy can act, it doesn't prevent them from acting at all. Additionally, a Hastened enemy that becomes Paralyzed loses both its Free Hits, while a Hastened enemy that becomes Slowed should only lose one Free Hit. (because the Slowed-effect only negates the Hastened-effect, instead of specifically affecting Free Hits like the Paralyzed-effect does)
-
Well, no, a Slowed enemy would just be affected the same way a Slowed hero would be: a Slowed enemy cannot use its Special, Damage a hero or get a Free Hit ever other Round. (and a Hastened enemy that becomes Slowed doesn't get the extra Free Hit)
-
Is the quest even officially over? It doesn't look like Endgame's actually told you that the quest was completed and you could return to the Hall.

OoC: The Entangled Special affects the entire party. It doesn't really affect you, since being a Sage, you'd always be attacking with range from the Back Row. -

"Even though you are Lucky, Master Emorith, with the Aura up, let's not risk targeting a Tangleweed. Switch over to the Gloom Widow, and continue to attack with Ice so that you can still Damage the Tangleweeds if you roll Magic Vortex. Everyone else, repeat." I attack the Gloom Widow from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -

OoC: Oops, that would be my fault. I knew Thormanil had less Defense and assumed he'd have less HP without actually checking the HP stats. You two are actually in about the same position; Thormanil has a little more HP but a little less Defense. But you're right; one of you would have to take a Potion next Round, but you can damage the enemies and Thormanil can't, so it makes more sense for Thormanil to take the Free Hit. -

"Master Unth'or, I suggest you drop Vermin and favor Aquatic in its place. Aquatic enemies would seem to be more common on this the eastern side of the Fields while Master Carvenhall intends to face a guardian elsewhere, but at the same time, Vermin usually stick to the easier areas, and you'll probably have been made Lucky when we get to the more difficult battles and should be able to favor a different type then."
