Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

"Fine with me, Master Nihai. Myself, my preference is merely one or two of those Smoke Bombs." -
I'm fairly sure that it switches to Good with the rival and None with the original. (It's not exactly Neutral, since the original faction might then not accept you into its quests because of your Good reputation with its rival.)

Well both the box and the description clearly mention Luke's astromech being the one in the set... And the description mentions recreating Luke's destruction of the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin, while it mentions nothing of the Battle of Endor. While I can't find any good pictures of the studio model of Red Five from Jedi to compare the weathering and coloring to that of the studio model from Star Wars, I think it's obvious that this is meant to be Luke's X-wing from the Battle of Yavin, and it's the artwork that's inaccurate.

"This seems fairly straightforward." I attack Bugbear Defender A from the Front Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. OoC: Let's just all attack A, and I'll finish B with a Counterstrike. -
I agree. The nose still looks too squarish, but that second render definitely makes the model look better than any of TLG's pics.

OoC: He can't be on all the time... Also, he hasn't said that he's giving you control of Xander, so even if you do post for him, it won't matter until twenty-four hours after the last Round was run. -

OoC: I did edit the post to be in the Front Row, but I did so before you posted the Round. I attack the Bugbear Elder from the Front Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -
The view on the box definitely isn't the most flattering, but as I said in the rumors thread, I still think the nose looks off. The tip looks too fat. Additionally, there's the way the plates are layered on top, only tapering for a few studs before continuing straight back, and the nose's side is a full three bricks (two bricks and three plates) straight up. The entire nose looks much too squarish and blocky. Even in the back view, the dominating shape of the fuselage, the first shape that I see when I look at it, is a rectangle, when it should be a hexagon. The way the ship as a whole appears to have been designed reminds me more of an oversized System model than what I would consider to be a true dedicated UCS model.

Hmm, advancing Docken's story... Well, considering that Docken doesn't have a storyline, advancing his story means giving him an Adamantite shield and immunity to all negative effects and all elements. In which case I'd be interested.

"Focus, Master Carvenhall. "There are sixteen enemies, so we're going to take eleven Free Hits. The Bugbear Elder's Special is particularly dangerous, but my Dread Hat can prevent him from using it, so he will be targeted. Leech is probably the most dangerous of the other Specials, so we'll leave the Bloody Bugs alone. We don't want them healing their allies, so we shall also leave the Bugbear Healers alone. Of the eight remaining enemies, the Bugbear Archers have an AoE special, so we'll also leave them as the final three Free Hits, and we can switch to target them in later Rounds if the Bugbear Caster's Special proves too dangerous. "The five remaining enemies that need to be targeted are aforementioned Bugbear Elder, the two Bugbear Casters and the two Bugbear Defenders. I'll take the elder to prevent him from using Bugbear Gathering. Master Carvenhall and Master Unth'or have higher Defense, so they should take the Bugbear Casters. That leaves the Bugbear Defenders for Master Nihai and Master Emorith. "The first hero will take three Free Hits. The second and third will each take two, and the fourth and fifth will take two slightly more powerful Free Hits. Thus, the Order should be myself, Master Nihai, Master Unth'or, Master Carvenhall and Master Emorith." I attack the Bugbear Elder from the Front Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. "My Dread Hat protects me, which is why I'm acting from the Front Row to maximize my Damage dealt with Counterstrikes. Everyone else, Back Row." OoC: Come on, Aura... -
The separate topic created for 10240 has been merged with this topic. When TLG officially releases the set, I'm sure one of the Ambassadors will create a topic specifically for the set. Until then, let's keep discussion of the set in this topic. Personally, I think the nose area of the X-wing looks too fat, especially the tip. I'm not completely certain of the accuracy or inaccuracy of that part of the model, but it definitely looks off to me. Especially the layering of the wedge plates on top of the nose which only taper for a few studs and then continue straight down the rest of the nose. The nose as a whole seems blocky and squarish to me.

OoC: I'm pretty sure Althior can't use Venom. Effects of weapons don't affect spells, only physical attacks, and Althior as a Sage can't use physical attacks. -

"They're Blinded; I don't see any reason not to attack. Master Carvenhall can attempt to get some Poison into them in case we end up in the unlikely situation of needing to wait it out." I attack Zombie Peasant A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. OoC: In the event of autorolling, I'll switch between targets, always targeting the enemy who is Blinded for fewer Rounds. -

"Everyone's still healthy enough; repeat! I'll switch over to the other zombie, though, since the first is already Blinded." I attack Zombie Peasant B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -

"I'm immune to Fragile; I'll take the first Zombie Peasant. Leave the other to try in vain to Damage me with a Free Hit. For now while we're at full Health, let's not worry about the possibility of Bombard and instead have the rest of you each take a Battle Ant. "There will be five Free Hits: one Zombie Peasant, one Battle Ant, and the three Big Rats. Order should be myself, Master Carvenhall, Master Nihai, Master Unth'or, and Master Emorith." I attack Zombie Peasant A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -

"If you prefer the shield to the hat, Master Emorith, I'm sure one of us others can take the hats instead; we can always sell them for 40 Gold to Fabian. Though you should of course use one of the hats during this quest. "As Master Emorith and Master Carvenhall have need for neither Venom nor items that deal Ice-elemental Damage, I will give one Ice Bomb and one Venom each to Master Nihai, Master Unth'or, and myself. "Master Emorith will get the Skull Shield, and for now since he can use it he will also get one of the Pointy Hats. We can decide who gets to keep it later. "Finally, Master Carvenhall will get the other Pointy Hat." I lead the party to the Sanctuary so that Althior can rest, after which I will lead them to the Derelict Windmill. -

OoC: Hat? What hat? Sorry, I wasn't looking at the hat.See, I was reading through the list of loot: "Blah blah blah blah SHIELD! I like shields! blah blah blah." "So, um, anyone want an unsuitable shield to sell later?" -

OoC: See, that wasn't so hard, Flare. I think you forgot the loot description, Pie. (Okay, so I'm too lazy to go back and look up the descriptions. ) -
I don't see how it's not still a useful artifact. It was useful for me and I assumed it worked the nerfed way. If you really want to Poison an enemy; you're a Warden; you can take any extra Damage that might result from using a turn to switch to the crossbow for Poisoning. If the situation is such that you can't afford to switch to the crossbow for a Round, then the extra 1 Damage from Poison probably isn't going to make much difference.

OoC: It has the word 'quiver' in its name, and quivers are used to hold arrows, not handcannon shot. It didn't work on the Frozen Saber when I owned it, even though that would fall under "all attacks" by a hero equipping the quiver. -

OoC: Perhaps because the Quiver of Poisoning shouldn't logically work on handcannon... -

"Keep that Spectre pinned down until the Skeleton Mage is eliminated!" OoC: In other words, everyone should repeat. Slight change to the Order, though, to allow Thormanil the chance to re-Stun the Skeleton Mage with a Ravage in case Benji rolls Damage or Special Damage. I do nothing from the Back Row. Benji attacks Skeleton Mage A from the Back Row with his Golden Handcannon. Order of Actions: Benji Carvenhall Thormanil Nihai Bartholomew Docken Xander Unth'or Althior Emorith -

"Master Emorith and Master Carvenhall should continue to attack the final mage. Master Nihai, try to Stun Spectre A. Master Unth'or, you can attack if you want to save a Free Hit, but I don't think it's worth the risk of being Petrified." I do nothing from the Back Row.
