I gave the Deso and DSoul to one of Nihilus' friends that I was playing with, but you can have the VBow. Sure. I'll put all the stuff on my freebie mule next time I'm on. My 5/8, 800+ Fame Pally with Old Tops, CSword and DBlade died this morning when I was stupid enough to try to do O2 on melee, so I'm kind of doing a one- to two- day mini-ragequit. (I have enough pots to 5/8 an average-roll Pally and backups of all the equips, so it's not a big deal; I'm just mad at myself for trying to do the WC in the first place and for not waiting for a Knight to get a Stun in before I charged in. Probably will wait to remax until after I've gotten the necessary Life to go 7/8 with my Priest which has a CWand, Prot, GSorc and Exa HP ready and waiting for him, though.)

Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

"Master Emorith, since you're Lucky, take a Tangleweed. I've got the Gloom Widow; everyone else take a Shy Shell. We'll only have to take three Free Hits, so swap Master Nihai and Master Unth'or in the Order." I attack the Gloom Widow from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -

"Master Emorith, take a Nostrum. Everyone else, spread out, reduce the Free Hits and hope for the best. I've got the Gloom Widow. The rest of you, start your attack against a Tangleweed, but switch to a Shy Shell if Entangled has already been rolled." I attack the Gloom Widow from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. -
I hadn't checked this thread, so I'm a bit late here (although I saw you in game when you logged in), but welcome back, BoyWonder! For those who haven't played in the past couple of days, we got the 100K Guild Fame upgrade to the Guild Hall; definitely check that out. I'm also getting rid of some mid-high tier items on my mules and I've got a bunch of stuff that you can have for free: DSoul (T9) x1 VBow (T9) x1 Horror (T8) x9 Shadow (T10) x2 Ichi (T10) x2 Deso (T10) x1 Renewing (T4) x2 DSphere (T4) x7 ETap (T4) x4 Sup Def (T3) x6 And if you collect wines, I have: Sauvignon Blanc x2 So if you want to get an equipment upgrade or start a new char, there's a lot of more than decent equips up for grabs.

Heroica RPG - The Henrys - Award Celebration
Brickdoctor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Congratulations, everyone! I'm surprised that the Quest 28 party got Best Party Dynamic. Honestly I didn't think we did anything extraordinary together. Anyways, thank you organizers, thank you voters, blah blah blah, yay, I got four awards. I can't find this section.- 33 replies

That is actually completely unintentional, and it shouldn't be wet. I didn't put glass in the window because I didn't have any pieces that could fill a gap that size without looking ugly, plus it would've made the rain and sky hard to Photoshop in. The reflection is just the result of a long exposure and a lot of tiles.
-
In regards to the brown tiles, I do remember that maybe... four? years ago, I went into a Brand Store to fill the free PaB box they give you for spending $75 in November-December, and they had brown 1x4s there, so I got a lot of those. But the greys are all from Star Wars and a few Lord of the Rings sets. (probably some Town and some Trains in that mix, too) I can't remember any specific set that had a lot of them. (for reference, last I checked, I think Brickset had my collection around 23-25K pieces)

Mine's on page 42: (The technique's also used throughout Quests 17 and 31.)
-
If you're referring to the set in the Bric'Bay interlude, the interludes are done by the QMs who created the characters in them; I actually built that set. (if you're not referring to that, I've used that technique a lot in Quests 17 and 31, so I'll reply anyways) I never ordered tiles or bought a set specifically for the tiles. I'm sure that being a Star Wars fan helps with accumulating the greys, but it's just a part of my collection that I've built up over the years. And I usually plan the camera angle before I build the set, so I know where the spots are that I can cheat - behind each of the wooden supports set in the wall, for example, is a 1x6 tile, far too long to be in the "normal" sections of the wall, but you can't tell that it's any longer than 1x3. And behind the bookshelves there are no tiles at all. In the floor of the library, I stuck to the 1x1 and 1x4 tiles for the most part, but in areas where I knew the pieces would be out of focus and too blurry for their edges to be distinguishable, I've used whatever brown tiles I could find. I've still got the big set of the Bric'Bay library built, because it turned out really nicely and I don't want to take it apart. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow when there's daylight.

"Wait, scratch that; the Blinded effect only affects physical attacks; it won't prevent Master Emorith from attacking a Mandragora as well." -

"Master Emorith, take a Remedy. I'll switch to Gloom Widow B. Everyone else, continue to attack the Mandragora." I attack Gloom Widow B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. "With Gloom Widow A Blinded, the first hero will take less Damage from Free Hits, and Master Emorith can't roll Magic Vortex and doesn't need to be last, so the Order should change to Master Carvenhall, myself, Master Unth'or, Master Emorith, Master Nihai." -
I'm pretty sure they have a similar effect to Heal Less if the user has Aim for the fourth roll instead of Miss.
-
Actually if I remember correctly, that was how I handled it in Quest 17. I'm not sure if I corrected it or not later on.

"Wha- ?! I'm affected by the Enamored-effect just because I'm a male human?!"

"I'll take one of the Gloom Widows; leave the other one to attempt a Free Hit on me. The rest of you should each take a Mandragora, leaving the Grey Owls alone; their Special can put us all out of the fight. With normal swords, you can't use them both at the same time, but you can have both and switch between them during battles.

Where's Fallenangel when I need him?
