I meant bigger than those bigger wheels, like the ones on this car :-)
-
Nice work, I like the curves on the fenders a lot. Can I make one suggestion though? I would have used bigger wheels, perhaps like the one used in the adventurers sets. Anyway, the original car has a complicated design and you did very well making it out of Lego-bricks. *y*

That's right! I may try to fix another hinge above the other one. But being separated from my lego for a couple of weeks that'll have to wait a little.... :-/

Thanks for the review! I always liked this set, but I never bought it because I was more into the town sets and this car wouldn't fit in that theme. I love using this electric system in MOC's, only problem is that when you use more then five light-units on one battery the lights will shine less brightly....

It's working, it's working! THANKS! *sweet*

I like the idea of combining lego with fabric/cloth it must have been hard to shape it like this, though the balloon seems a bit small to be able to carry all the weight of the basket. The front of the balloon is nicely done with the rounded red cockpit piece. There are not much balloon MOC's around, keep up the good work!

That is soooo cool! This guy certainly has a good eye for detail. I especially like the figures with the brick made heads (there must be a name for these but I forgot) in the square attached building.

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to computers.... I tried and tried but posting a thumbnail that is a link at the same time: impossible :'-( I guess my talents are elsewhere: I can build towers, modify flagships and I speak four different languages... About the captain entering his cabin, mr. ZCerberus: Just behind the wheel there are two little blue shutters in the wall, opening these will reveal a tiny stairway that leads into the cabin. You can't see it in the pictures I recently posted, but in the pictures of the earlier modification it's visible. I'm afraid I have to post you another link: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1488996

Brickshelf find:THIS is a cool brick-made rifle!

That's amazing. Great to see what one can do with a hammer, a technicpin, binoculars and some hands! Nice find. -
Oh yes, but when you look closely at the point where the hinge is positioned right now in this picture you will see that there is only one hinge possible. I made it underneath the rock-piece, another one could have been placed on top of the same piece, but on the other side is a grey arch.... I'm planning to do some more experimenting with hinged buildings in the future, eventually I will get the hang of it.

That sounds like a good idea, when I have my own house with my own lego-room in it it will make a nice display of legoproducts over the years. However I am still studying so my own house will have to wait a little... I don't have the space right now, living in my 7-square-meters-room (really!) in Amsterdam. I had the posters hanging from the walls when I was a little kid, and only one or two have little damage at least they will stay okay when filed in an ordner.

The opening capability was indeed incorporated in the plan, it was a real pain in the neck during the construction I must say to not put on a really well fitting brick (especially longer bricks) and seal of the opening by building the two halves together by accident..... The design is not very sturdy, as the entire opening capability consists of only one hinge, but the accessability is superb.

Found the evidence on brickshelf today, in the inventory of the set. disapointment..... :-( sorry to you Hobbes for the HUGE image....

I never missed a single Legoworld, I have been there since it started, but always as a visitor/spectator buying lego to extend my ever growing collection and gathering ideas. I love the event!

Thanks everybody for all the kind words! I may try that one day, I'm considering buying another (secondhand) Caribbean Clipper of the internet, I like to modify my ships with original Lego-sails, and blue striped ones are quite hard to get and pretty expensive. Also the Caribbean Clipper as Lego produced it is, I think, a beautiful ship. Modifying it as it is will soon make it look chunky without adding multiple midsections.... Modifying That ship is going to be tough but not impossible. Anyway thanks for the idea.

The diverssets I have (and I have them all!) were stuffed with animals, so what's your point? Anyway, I have to go across some border to buy this, if I buy this that is...
-
I do naturally, it is savely folded up and stored away in an ordner together with all the other great posters.

I thank you Knight Bonaparte! :'-)
-
So as I was saying... You can find it in the catalog of 1996....
-
Thank you! :-$ I just started out with throwing together all my blue baseplates There were not enough to cover the complete square shape so I put in one green half-one, underneath the little piece of land. This project took me all my white bricks (at least those 1-studs-wide ones) if I want to build another imperial building this one has to come down first... So that way it wil remain a lonely (but big) outpost.

45.000 marble bricks? X-D No seriously, I like it, it's big! I love the way you made that rounded wall in picture three
-
22d Oh yes, I used my digital camera some more this weekend... After buying the extra midsection for the Imperial Flagship and one more sail with joints, here is my modified Imperial Flagship once more: The interior of the captainscabin is the same as in my shortened mod. of this ship, reached by clicking UP in the folder and then "modified". Here's the link to the gallery These images are clickable thanks to mr. ZCerberus!!

So there really are two more episodes! Now all I have to do is find them and add them to my collection *y*

I don't really have a name for this, so I just called it Imperial Tower, if you want to come over with your army I'll be ready for you with all three (!) cannons and a small army of troops >8-) There was no particular plan considering the yellow bricks, I just made sure that there were no spots where I put two 1X2 bricks directly on top of each other. For a black fortress like you wrote, I should use some grey and perhaps green bricks myself, not yellow ones I like your ship mr. ZCerberus! And those stairs look good on it indeed!
