I LOVE that wonderful house! *y* *y*

I can't even see what it is supposed to look like.... :-X No mars Mission on my wishlist I'm afraid *n*

Thank you Alex54! :'-) As I left this car put together for a long time it was a unique chance for the canoe to get dusty on the bottom side for a change.... :-)

This set is part of my collection, I got it long, long ago when it was first released. It is a nice little set, however whenever I searched for white doors in my pile of lego I always stumbled upon those safaridoors laying upside down..... :-| I made a (sort of) upgraded version of this set some time ago, mixing it with 6490 features, here it is: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=117093

The folder is public now, and I like the lovely little ship you made! The colorscheme, the cabin interior and the barrel-made mast are great, keep up the good work *sweet*

I really like the direction lego is going with this great every-day-life sets! :-) Looking closely at the cementmixer it seems like there is some sort of mechanism to turn the big round container on the back (by means of technic gears?) This kind of trucks with four axels are all to common in the Netherlands, I see them driving around on a daily basis. I don't know about the US, but here in the Netherlands we have a maximum-load-per-axel law, so big heavy trucks often end up with many, many wheels.... What I don't like is the BIG one piece boat in the harbour-set, although making it completely out of bricks would certainly have overpriced the set I suppose. But it would have been nice... I like to see the back of that refuse truck, there must be some kind of lifting device for the bins there.

New 2007 catalog available in Germany
simonwillems replied to Hobbes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Two more city pages up right now, with the ambulance sets and police, nothing new. Hey... is that an old style space minifig I see in the center of these pages? Along with some torso's I have never seen before. -
I know MC Donalds food is not that good for your health in general, but when you eat this you'll die for sure.... *sweet* A Brickshelf find this is: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=222020

New 2007 catalog available in Germany
simonwillems replied to Hobbes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
On the 1000steine website I read that sets are already available in Germany, in Amsterdam however there is no such thing as "new lego" in the toystores... :-( No catalog either. -
I see this clip on tv very often, it's played by the Dutch music television stations. Quite nice to see some lego passing by on tv between all the rappers these days....

In the good old days lego motorbikes had only two wheels...... and they came with the same amount of handlebars..... now most of my motorbikes have only one handlebar left :-( Like said before, hurting your lego by stepping on it is much more painful then hurting your foot.

My place of birth is a small village called Warnsveld, it is near the city of Zutphen (try to pronounce that, my fellow Eurobrickers from England and America *skull* ). I grew up in Zutphen in the Eastern part of the Netherlands, and recently I moved to the most beautiful city of all: Amsterdam, because my university is located there. I live with three flatmates in a very small appartment, but it's nice and cosy... De Groeten!

Thanks for the great review. *y* Can you please tell me if the battledroids still have the same color as in the old sets (e.g. Naboo Swamp), or has Lego changed the color to "new tan" or anything like that?

V-LV-06E Hey, just wanted to share this car which I just saw on Brickshelf, it makes good use of those ancient blue doors. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=220807

What dumptruck? Did I miss something here? Oh Joy! My avatar-picture is finally working! :-) X-D *sweet*

Okay now for my musical expressions... I played the accordeon for about eleven years, starting in 1993. I played sometimes at the national holidays in Holland, like Queensday, making quite some money. To buy Lego of course. I have'nt been in a band or orchestra of some kind. Size: 60 black buttons on the non-piano-side of the instrument, if you know what I mean. 8-|

It was me who was (and still is) missing it :'-(

Which Official Pirate LEGO Sets Do You Have?
simonwillems replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Since I am quite new to Eurobricks I haven't yet made a list of all my piratesets, but that is all going to change, here it is: 1733 Shipwrecked Pirate 1747 Treasure Surprise 5139 Cannons with wheels 6232 Renegades Raft 6235 Buried Treasure 6237 Pirates Plunder 6245 Harbor Sentry 6246 Crocodile Cage 6247 Bounty Boat 6251 Pirate Minifigures 6254 Rocky Reef 6255 Comic 6256 Islander Catamaran 6257 Castaway's Raft 6258 Smuggler's Shanty 6259 Broadside's Brig 6262 King Kahuka's Throne 6263 Imperial Outpost (2) 6265 Sabre Island 6266 Cannon Cove 6267 Lagoon Lock-up 6268 Renegade Runner 6270 Forbidden Island 6271 Imperial Flagship 6274 Caribbean Clipper 6276 Eldorado Fortress 6277 Imperial Trading Post 6278 Enchanted Island 6279 Skull Island 6280 Armada Flagship 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner 6289 Red Beard Runner 10040 Black Seas Barracuda And lots of extra minifigures, tricornes, backpacks, weapons, sails, masts, cannons, etc As I live in Holland, most of the sets that include imperial Armada soldiers (and the Cross Bone Clipper 6250 :'-( ) were not available in this country, however my quest to track them all continues :-/ -
I really like this set (5 stars). However I think that the throne of king KahuKa should'nt have been aboard the canoe, it looks like it will turn over right away when put into the water... :-D I also find it kind of weird to see the pirate captain (don't know his name) with blue epaulettes, allthough it adds to the uniqueness of this rare set. I am still looking for this set, as mentioned in other topics, and I most sincerely intend to buy it when it comes across.

Anybody combined Pirates and Indians before?
simonwillems replied to simonwillems's topic in LEGO Pirates
Wow, if anyone is able to build a longhouse like that out of legobricks, please post it. I think it's kind of hard/impossible.... :'-( -
I do own the set, and there only seems to be a modification in the two large masts: extra climbing-things and enlarged crowsnests.

Anybody combined Pirates and Indians before?
simonwillems replied to simonwillems's topic in LEGO Pirates
I am afraid my knowledge of the American coastline is pretty limited... Never been there... Indeed I did throw some stuff together (if I had had more rocks at the time it would have been bigger and higher *sweet* ). -
Thanks for the compliment Alex54! The original idea was to build a tramway, something like this: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=196841 But that would have been to big to fit the small layout, and stations and tunnels would have been out of proportion... The monorailtrain as it comes in the original set will do just fine, I bought it recently for a substantial amount of money but it's totally worth it *sweet*

Sorry, never seen it before, maybe that is because this set is not available in my country....
