Is There A Way To Contact A Poster On BrickShelf?
simonwillems replied to AFOL SF's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, here it goes! (picture is link) I think you mean this one, it is indeed very funny, thanks for giving the directions! - Edit: the gallery belongs to user: cbolego, he has lots of other interesting builds as well. - -
After a great evening at Captain Green Hairs home I was sold two 9volt switchpoints by him, good for extending any train layout. Had a great time buddy!

Nice! I like the way you used that spacepart to build a vegetable scale! I'd buy it.

Thanks for reviewing. I would love to see some interior pictures of the helicopter (if there's any interior?) and the way the figs are seated in front. The helicopterset actually the first set in which I somewhat like the use of that huge fuselage part. That one piece boat is brilliant for MOC'ing, I'll buy it, it looks like something like this Dutch lifeboat can be created with it.

What happened on the 17th of may that makes you cry out in sheer joy and happiness? The date has some personal importance to me, since today three years ago I started my cycling journey to Rome and back.... That's probably not why you are cheeering though..

REVIEW: 8291 Dirt Bike
simonwillems replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
How did I manage to miss this review? I must have overlooked it somehow... Thanks for making this one Sinner, it's always nice to see reviews of Technic sets. I'm not so sure whether I like this set, I am not that much into motorbikes, but Lego did a good job on this one. It looks a lot like an upgraded version of one of the first bikes Lego made, namely the 8838 Shock Cycle. I also believe the back gearwheel is somewhat oversized, it looks better with the smaller one you attached. It is good to see that Lego is back to making the Technic sets the way they were (except for the green, that is ) -
Welcome to Eurobricks pe668! I really think your creations deserve to be in a topic of their own instead of in this excisting one! They are great!

Military Marching Band
simonwillems replied to Globemaster's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
That looks really good, an entire band with beautiful uniforms! I like the way you made the Drum Mayor's stick using belville and Star Wars pieces. -
I'd be happy if I had two... No, it's just one, but extended with the baseplate of 6381 (mentioned above) and some more plates and small fences. It is one piece, not even the wheels come off... This trailer is always ready to go and was only used in a slecect number of sets.

That's nowhere near Arabia, is it? Only joking, welcome to Eurobricks and be sure to post those MOC's of yours!

Man, this is crab..... Literally that is! Brilliant in every way from the weird tree to the toiletpaper roll and the beautiful fountain.

Welcome aboard Captain, I am sure you'll enjoy the forum as much as I do (and that's a lot). Never mind the Americans on this EUROPEAN board... (just joking guys... )

Did you notice that the two biggest sets of the first wave (temple and smaller temple) are not available either in The Netherlands? I did, in Amsterdam they are nowhere to be found... not at the (Dutch chain) Intertoys and not at the local TRU

A few weeks back (man, I am behind on replying in this thread ) I bought the two smaller Indiana Jones sets, the Race for the stolen Treasure and the motorcycle chase. Great sets, pity that all minifigs are fleshies... At a flee market I bought the oldest set I have up to now, presumably number 700/6 (there was no number on the box) in perfect shiny condition with box and leaflet. According to bricklink this set is from 1954. The bricks are all deformed (because of the different plastic they used back then) and are lacking the clever tubes inside, Lego invented 50 years ago. I was really surprised to find this set in this immaculate condition for only 6,50 euro

POLL: vote for your favourite hotrod now!
simonwillems replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in LEGO Town
I voted for Lego Monster because I have often tried making such a car but never really succeeded. I'm glad someone did! Good luck to all! -
You just passed your English test! I agree with Ralph on this one, I also believe that the window should at least be a little taller, with the window being taller the height of the nose will automatically be reduced. But I must say: when I first saw these pictures I immediately recognised the craft as being Thunderbird 4. Great job. Oh man, when I think about this tv series I can still hear the title 'song' in my head...

I voted for Paksu, Imperial Scouts and Imperial Scouts I like the simplicity of these two the most, they carry a certain suspense in them without really displaying any horror yet. Of course all entries are great and I wish every contestant the best of luck!

Thanks for this review! You have reviewed my most favourite town set of all times, I am so happy to own this one. I actually is a story to go along with it: In the summer of 1998 I went on holiday with my parents to the country of Luxembourg, in the city of Wiltz we encountered a small toystore which still had this set for sale, (9 years after the release!). I did not had the sufficient amount of money to buy the set and had to leave it at the store, I was practically in tears... Four years later we passed through Luxembourg and I remembered the city and the store. We made a detour and stopped by the same store. Every other old set was sold, the only one remaining was this one! I bought it immediately and treasured it ever since. I use the baseplates a lot in my cities, they serve well as roads with parking spaces next to them. This was the first set I owned which had the huge 6x24 plates in them, I remember my surprise when seeing plates of such enourmous lenght... I recently made an entire racetrack together with this set and to promote myself I will place a link HERE

Work In Progress - #425 and my SNOTty boiler
simonwillems replied to SavaTheAggie's topic in LEGO Town
This looks really promising, great work! I tried making a round boiler myself for my own steam locomotive but I had to give up due to a lack of "cheese tiles".... I would love to see the final result, when it's all finished. -
Which Official Pirate LEGO Sets Do You Have?
simonwillems replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
A dream came true last week, as I bought: ~ 6250 Crossbone Clipper! I will do a pictorial review in about one/two weeks, when I get back from a studytrip to Croatia. -
Also, schönes Wochenende! ^ l For the English part of this community, this is written in German....

Where did you manage to buy this book? Some store? It is not yet available from Amazon. I'd love to read it and I am quite able to, as my German is presumably better than your Dutch....

LEGO is on frontpage of my local newspaper
simonwillems replied to Holodoc's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's me! I will certainly pay it a visit next time I go to Germany. Although the Ruhr Gebiet isn't that much fun to visit usually, I will make an exception very soon. Thanks for bringing the news! -
Welcome to the real world!
